âI am not gonna bore you with the details of single pin picking Iâm sure you have already watched many videos about itâ

LOL "Usually this doesn't work" *lock opens*
"Usually THIS doesn't work" *lock opens again* classic
That tells me that the lock name that's printed on it. It doesn't deserve. It's definitely not best in any way shape or form. I'm thinking maybe it's just a junk brand lock. Definitely nothing I would ever put any faith in if I had to buy one
Lock just cooperates for camera:)
Boom and itâs open
@@NetAndyCz SmartLock
Bret Hager No, it's fine. Sometimes *any* brand will pop right open. Sometimes they won't. Sometimes the same exact lock will take several minutes once, and two seconds the next time or method, like you see here.
this lock is amazing, it identifies your techniques and nullifies them.
Decoy Iâm dead XD. Itâs learning.
It's A.I. đ€Ł
no wonder it's the BEST
Yeah, turns out it WAS a fluke. :)
Lol! That's a true smart lock!
Hahahahahahaha "I like using this because it really pisses you guys off."
Amazing.
I was already pissed off when he took out the WD40 and called it a lubricant
Imagine being a person that get upset about what other people use to make shit slippery đđ
@@HDmech81
Hey if you we're a adult female you would be fucking pissed too.
Charles Szasz really? Definitely lubricates things.
WD = Water Displacement. It's not a lube. It's designed to dry out. Which means it's ok while it's wet so ok for this application, but don't use it on parts you want to keep moving... like don't use it on your bike bearings.
Personally I like powdered graphite for locks.
When I first watched this I thought to myself "I'm not some beginner..." Then I got educated, every pick/rake were ones that I liked and thought I had at least a basic understanding of. Then sure enough you showed me several new strategies I had no clue about. Thank you so much for sharing this knowledge
Thank you for the feedback! People rarely let me know if a video is useful or worth the time of putting it together, and hearing this is like a breath of fresh air. Thank you!!đ

This is one of those new A/I locks. once you pick it it learns to defend against that pick
preventing a second opening. Eventually even the key won't open it.
Its like the lock learned what he was doing everytime and adapted... :{

Love your reason for usin' wd-40, laughed my ass off.
It's pretty good idea though because not only does it lubricate adequately for lock picking purposes, it also softens up rust and anything else that might be seizing the lock. Like said, it's not really suitable for pure lubrication.
Don't know how I am here but that is late night CZcams for you.

This was the first video of yours that I watched years ago, and it started me on a great a rewarding hobby. Thank you very much for all the work you have put in for us Bill. I wish you the best of luck in your retirement.
This video is where my locksport journey all began. Thank you for years of entertainment, knowledge, and great times. Your videos have seen me through the birth of my two boys and a marriage. Works every time.
So.. I guess, that's a really bad lock haha
The lock is alive, it evolves after every attack
I never knew I wanted to try lockpicking until I watched your videos! These are really fun to watch. Thank you!
I love how the lock was just like "Here let me show them that this method can work :)"
So true then it was like I'm a good lock and didn't work the second time
Thank you for everything over these years Bill!!! You will be missed sir. I will always continue to view your encyclopedia of expert knowledge. Again, Thank You Sir!

404, keys not found
Thanks for this concise tutorial. Just got access to my father's house, as he was helpless on the floor (couldn't move), couldn't get to the door and nobody could find the keys. This was actually faster than calling for help! Got in after 5 seconds of picking. Really glad to have stumbled on your video. And it goes to show, it's not just for criminal acts. This was also a wake-up call for the sense of false security locks may seem to provide... Thanks for posting.
François Luneau sounds made up
@rabidsquirrel73 he farted on his pillow like a real criminal.
Really? Dads immobile on the floor so.. hmm. Let's pick this lock with the tools I just happened to have with me... not fuck I'm barging this door open from the adrenaline of my dad being immobile on the floor. Hey come to think of it how does he know his dads on the floor if he hasn't gained access? I'm calling bullshit on this story!
Happy Retirement Bill. Thanks for everything.
This was the video the helped me get started, sorry you're retiring Bill. Enjoy the family time.
I just used your techniques to open a lock I've been playing around for hours.

This night I'm gonna to get a new car.
Good luck with that. You know that there is also electronic security in a Car?
see you in prison
Luci Venom You get youtube in prison?
007Aeon not every car in Russia has an electronic security. And 70% has an outdated security systems with vulnerabilities.
Ok, I admit many used cars even here in germany use oudated electronic security, even my Opel Corsa which is seven years old. But newer, intersting cars like a Maybach or a nice Mercedes S class use more modern security systems. Some are even chiped with an GPS traker, like the one of my goodfather.
Thanks! I needed to open an expert lock and this leveled me up to 35

Happy retirement Bill! 1st Lockpicking video I remember watching and got me into Lockpicking so thank you.
Thanks, now I will attempt to pick my roommate's deadbolt and put smirnoff ice's everywhere. haha
My brother had a locksmith job for a while. The first thing when he responded to locked out call was when he got there he would ask " do you have the key? He would role after the job laughing his ass off.
I am wondering, do you have to prove to locksmith you live where you need him open the door? Or does he open for anyone who pays enough no questions asked?
@@NetAndyCz Reputable locksmiths will require identity.
I've heard of cases where someone said they locked their keys and wallet in the car with the car's license, locksmith opened the car... No documents to prove he person owns the car... Locksmith locks the car back up.

You have inspired me to start picking. This is somehow mesmerizing. You are awesome! I just ordered a 9 piece kit and a clear lock off amazon.
I've just ordered a 15 piece kit off Amazon too. It will be here tomorrow! Mad how many people want to get into this hobby lol!
+Mr Twitch is it good? mine was amazing and I picked my padlock in seconds. the only problem was the keyhole was to small, so I actually used a paperclip as a tension wrench but folded it it half to make it harder to bend. I also used the city rake as it requires very little room to wiggle about.
+Just Some Guy also, I can use my small tension wrench because I use the city rake which is quite thin
4 locks picked so far! Kit was ok, clear lock sucked, be syre and file/sand your tools a bit! Happy picking!
:) The clear lock is very easy, but i'm sure they make it that way.
this is the first video i've ever seen on this channel and i thought that was an error xD (404)
Same here.
Bill! Fellow EOD Tech here. Came across your channel randomly and was instantly intrigued by the world of lock picking. Made some DIY picks from windshield wipers to try out before investing any real money. Raked open my first Master lock with a homemade "worm" while watching in this video. Still grinning :-D
Thanks for the great vids and tutorials!
This is probably the best video for beginners I've seen.
So for you, the best result is just sticking a pick into the lock and wiggling it randomly around hoping to get lucky lol.
Well thats what rakes are for.
You're supposed to do that, otherwise the pins won't get set in a timely manner.
+Fragging
i always do that
Gadget Addict clearly you still have a lot to learn
i mhonestly just here cause ive been playing a ton of skyrim and ive been wondering how lock picking Actually works
Skyrim's terrible at showing it. You'd have a better idea after playing oblivion.
But of course barely anyone who has played skyrim has played oblivion.
bakersmileyface its obvious that the skyrims locks, even admiring smithing skills that people can achieve, that the locks are trivial. In skyrim, i believe, there is rakes as the lockpicks. Oblivion does not show lockpicking better than skyrim, its never that easy to knock a pin into place, because you dont just knock them. And you do understand, that the game do need easy-to-pickup gameplay. And in skyrim there is a way to pick every lock first try, there is a unique sound when you set pick on the very middle of the spot, but it is really hard to tell from other noise
Lisiralei Oh I agree that Oblivion doesn't accurately represent lock picking. But it definitely shows it better than Skyrim.
In Skyrim it looks nothing like raking.
Go and look at skyrim lockpicking again. You spin the tension wrench around until you hear a click and then you just rotate the lock to unlock it. How in the world is that raking? At the very least I have never heard of any technique that works like that. If you can find me a source as to where that would work, please do share it with me and correct me on this of course.
But still. At least Oblivion at least shows the general idea of what lock picking is like. It's not that easy to knock a pin in to place as it is in Oblivion, but at least in real life the whole idea is to actually knock the pins into place.
I played Oblivion after Skyrim. But I don't remember skyrim's lock picking (it's probably same as fallout's), but I do remember oblivion's.
bakersmileyface
Lock picking in Oblivion makes no sense
I can't remember for sure which video it was but I think it was this one that showed up in my feed, out of boredom I watched it and I've been hooked ever since!! Over the last three years you have taught me an amazing amount about lock sport, life and patience as I have progressed my skill. Enjoy your retirement and know I consider you a good friend and mentor.
Ty for getting me back into lock sport. You showed me many different attacks and pure picking skills. You introduced me to sparrows and many other lock pick companies. Youâre a legend! Enjoy your retirement. You will be missed.
So kids, as the video said: lube up first, don't go in raw! Also, squirt.
But... also rake quite violently...
dont forget to rock to get inside
Just used WD-40 Lube with a hooker... It hurts when I pee and she says she has a UTI... Help, it's been 4 years..
Raw works just fine
Lol
Epic! I picked a lock in under 2 seconds!!
Me too it's called a bolt cutter.
The only video I've watched where someone actually explains how to do different raking/attacking techniques! Thank you so much! All the other videos are just people raking but not explaining anything.
Happy retirement Bill! Your videos are all well loved!

So compared to Skyrim, what level would that be? Adept or lower?
The amount of innuendos in this video...
Thank you Bill for your lock picking insight but most of all for your example as a human being.
This is the second video of yours I've seen, and I instantly subscribed as soon as you said "...but I like using this because it really pisses you guys off." Bravo, you've got my interest!
Bill, nice video. Never actually done lock-picking but it sure caught my interest. I was just wondering, was this lock super easy to pick? You might have answered it in other videos, but I was just wondering. Are "most" locks this easy to pick? I mean, I've seen you had a selection of goods locks, but you got this on your very first try? How common are these locks?
imo, common locks are all like this.
+Just Some Guy also note, these are padlocks.
+Just Some Guy How many types of locks are there?

Hi I happen to run across this vid, and I have a mild interest in lock picking. I like your voice and the way you teach. Can you give me a link to one of your vids for a 1st timer, in the simplest lesson? I have no pics but ive seen them offered on ebay and budk. Id like to start with a small cheapo set of a few to see if im able to pick up the skill and not lose interest. Also because Im disabled and I only get 550 to live on a month. Could you point me the right way? Sometimes I buy things at goodwill that have locks on them and id like to be able to open them without needing to cut. Thanks for any help!
For starting out, paper clips or bobby pins work great, there are plenty of videos on improvised lock picking. It may take some more time and patients but it should give you a feeling on if you truly enjoy the hobby before throwing down any money. This is how I got started and it can be a fun little challenge. I hope this helps get you started.
I really appreciated all the minutes of footage I have watched over the years Bill.
Thanks heaps for your dedication to lockpicking. Enjoy your extra time Bill, you deserve a great retirement.
All the best, Steve from Australia
Never underestimate the power of tension. I vary the tension every pick. I continually let off slightly to drop over set pins.
I also listen for clues, like loud or soft clicks.

+bosnianbill thank you this helped a lot
question
I've been screwing around with gallium, which is basically a magical liquid metal that turns metal into tissue paper. What is the possibility that I could destroy a lock by injecting gallium into it, waiting a couple minutes, and then just break it apart?
Since you HAVE gallium, give it a try and let us ALL know how that works out.
+bosnianbill hey Bosnian Bill! I did this with Gallium awhile back! It didn't come out as expected. It did expand, but not enough to break the lock. Just enough to bend it a tad
Yomty Krunch thanks u pioneer. you just saved me some gallium. video anywhere?
Gallium does this with Aluminium only I believe, Mercury also has this property with the downside of being poisonous
Ottavio Peruzzi they dont make many aluminium loks mate ide like to see galium destroy a brass one or a steel one for that matter

I started a job in 1988 for a cab company. The whole office used Best door and padlocks. They were told by best that they were not pickable. We had a re-coring kit with a core key that when inserted and turned counterclockwise would allow the core to come out. Then choose the new key level core and reinsert it.
