I appreciate the videos. You make it look so easy. I spent about 5-6 hours trying to perfect one hole on my local course but the slope and the tools to make the hills just got too frustrating to use. Needless to say I quit. It’s just too time consuming. Bravo to your patience.
I always recommend building a fictional course first before you try to recreate something. Makes you more.comfortable and confident with the tools!
Lynchie1221 where is your course located ?are you are designing on PC, is there no Lidar data availble ?
Same, first track I tried to make was the course I work at. Didn't go to well - I was always trying to achieve a level of perfection that I simply wasn't capable of as a new designer. Needless to say provided countless insights into how "good" a good course really is. But definitely give a course you make up a whirl. Even if its just a par three that you play with mates. You'll learn and familiarize with the tools so everything becomes less of a grind
Loving the revival Canuck, even if I quickly abandoned my first couple of attempts by hole 3--6. Really an insight into how good you guys are, just as your course designs do. Great to have you coming out with stuff again

Another amazing video! Thanks for doing all of that. I love the different Stadium creators and course creators that are in games now (this is on steroids compared to MLB 23 the show create a stadium lol). Really fun to see other peoples ideas for courses. Awesome channel

To say I'm excited about the new release and upcoming tutorials would be an understatement but I'm a little disappointed there's not a whole lot of new objects in the designer. I do hope they'll add more however the UI especially for me on PS4 is greatly improved. Thanks to your videos I've published my 2nd ever course and one I'm proud enough of to ask for feedback on and hopefully others who follow your channel and try their hand at course design. I don't expect you to have the time to play it for a while if ever but none the less it's called Streamsong Black Forest2. Unfortunately when imported on 23 the trees I chose to use on the original design in 21 looks significantly different so a new version was needed for 23. Any clue when TGC might start accepting course submissions for 23? I was excited to seek their approval but the site says only accepting designs on 21 for now. Keep up the great work! I was super pumped for you to get the invite at East Lake and look forward to your continued success and future content!

Just what I was looking for in this series. Just starting my first course. Say I do have a question. Is there any way to import your own "Clubhouse" model that I could make in Blender? There are a lot of good models available in the designer but I want to create a course near to me and would like to see a real model of that course's clubhouse.
Hey mate awesome video, quick question, very time I go to create the hole once I put the green down it puts a lay out of a fairway when I just want to make my own, any help would be appreciated 👌🏻
Great videos, CC! I have a question. How do you get a completely flat green? I messed around for an hour and couldn't get it flat.
speaking out... we should ask hbstudios to bring back to us the chance to test our course on regular rounds, as in 2k21, from the "local game" and filter "my courses/not published".
it was much easier look at the course in a real game than from designer project.
i hope in a update for that!
You should probably mention along the way in your design tutorials the importance of using splines vs stock shapes for surfaces if the designer want to get their courses TGC approved.
Can anyone help me with green side bunkers.... When I place a bunker on the green edge is has like a ring of rough around it. Can you not have a hard green edge against a bunker??. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks team.

I know this is several weeks later, but when I’m designing courses, it will not let me put extra pins on the greens. Any ideas?

unless they changed it for 2k23, consoles only have 2 undo's.

@@Crazycanuck1985 yeah it’s been that way for every game. Low key annoying as hell. But it is what it is.
Yep, unfortunately the consoles have always had 2 undo's, lack of RAM means we have to get it right first time. Go too far with something that is not working and you have to start deleting. It definitely makes decisions more decisive. The editor tools are not ideal. You have to fight with the tools to create the art. But we get there in the end. Play our courses Wild Cactus GC and White River Canyon GC on 2K21 to see what can be done on console. We won't be porting them to 2K23 because the lighting is terrible. Shadows are way too dark.
They updated the console undo’s. I can’t remember off the top of my head how many… but I haven’t run into a problem where I ran out of undos
