I agree, very quick but also very precise w/o being mechanical. ( Terrific video, BTW!) Thanks for all! ;)

The base drone, and 1 tenor at the most is a pipin!

Beautiful video. By the way, the third tune in the medley is indeed a John MacColl composition, but the title is actually Arthur Bignold of Larosque. (Sorry, but I'm not certain of the correct spelling of "Larosque"😕). Again....lovely video, and thanks for posting it. I also like the fact that the sound ebbs and flows as J.D.B.marches back and forth. I can easily visualize him in all his finery, strutting to and fro.👍🏻👍🏻

Not correct I’m afraid. Arthur Bignold of Lochrosque is a different tune. This tune here is Jeannie Carruthers.

What should the Great Highland Bagpipe, played at its best, sound, like?
Llsten to John D Burgess, and you'll get the answer.....for there is majesty in his playing. The bagpipe is no diddly-fiddly instrument of light entertainment, but a majestic instrument, and all who cannot attain majesty in their playing, have failed the instrument.... which, unfortunately, is 99% of us. John D is in the 1%.
