That intake will always make the car sluggish in hot weather. Not the best intake for that car.

I get that, but that’s not an intake you want to be using. Just for sound. You are better off putting stock box back on and doing the box mod. OR use the CT engineering intake which is also carb legal. Either way , you get rid of that K and N all your problems disappear
