Bf goodrich the best
Good work, man just subscribed to your channel
Thanks for the sub!
Man, that looks so much cleaner than my A/C drip mod setup 😅. Def going to be getting this. Awesome vid as always.
Thanks for watching! It really is a nice piece to keep everything looking tidy 🤙🏼
Bend that mount for the brake line down towards the caliper. Nice job
Do you know if the fitting works on a third gen taco ? .... already did this mod but this way is cleaner 🤙🏽
Yes, it fits 2nd gen & 3rd gen Tacomas! 🤙🏼
Brother, you literally slayed the install video….Thanks, Bruce (Vorra65) 👍🏻🏁🔥
Thank you! Hopefully some more orders start rolling in 👍🏼
I’ve done this on all of my vehicles for decades. Mostly because I’m bored, but keeping excess water off the frame is a plus.
Thanks for taking the extra time making vids - your narrative is concise and always includes context. Did you ever check the OEM bore? What after market brake master did you go with?
Thanks for watching! I haven’t taken the factory master apart yet, but I went with an aftermarket replacement offered by Man-a-fre
@@gio.rodriguez I pulled mine today and there is minor pitting in the cylinder. Will buy an AM replacement.
you think that doing the doors and rear cab is worth?
Yes, the doors alone will make a significant difference 👍🏼
I did something very similar to my 2020 Crosstrek. Very worth it.
Hi brother ,..How much the radio cost ?
Dude your doing an amazing job. I wish I had the commitment you had. If you ever sell your truck I would buy it
Nice bro, love watching updates on the taco. Would love to see an overview on your sound setup. Planning on doing the something similar with just a 4 channel for the front mids and tweeters with the stock headunit
You can run a 2 channel amp and front component speakers with the stock unit. I ran a 4 channel to power the front component speakers and rear subs 👍
@@gio.rodriguez oh I got ya, yeah I'm gonna be running the tweeters active so they'll get their own dedicated channels. Not gonna be running the crossovers that came with them.
Congrats on passing! Nice FJ, I have a grand wagoneer and I always hear how difficult it is to pass smog in CA and just like you I leard that as long a you have the original smog gear and everything is working as expected old vehicles like our will pass. Enjoy it!
Thank you! It was a lot of work but I feel great knowing it won't be a hassle in the future.
Is it me or did you pass FairPlay and Towne Ave on the 10 fwy in the vid? Nice work & especially recording the db decrease and hours logged.
Yes, I was headed to get a haircut 😅
@@gio.rodriguez my old stomping grounds.
I know exactely what adding a two part sound deadening system does for our Tacoma trucks. It does make a huge difference in sound and temperature control. Then as an added feature you get a more enjoyable ride. Great job on the install and documenting your project! Time to enoy your truck.
Agreed! Installed sound deadening material all over in my truck to improve ride quality and acoustic sound. Didn’t know it would also help with temperature efficiency too!
Thank you! I got a few trips planned and I am ready to enjoy the heck out of it 😎
Nothing but a G thing, baby!
Are you sure you weren't hypnotized?
Took the cam gears off for what😂
Obviously to change the seals. If you can’t see that you’re blind
@@gio.rodriguez change the description then if you’re not yourself. Not to mention you never stop long Enough to see anything….
What front rail is that ?
What cutting tools did you use to cut the fender & flares?
Wow dude Ive been drooling. Amazing build. One of the cleanest EF’s I’ve seen
Thank you! Still got it in the garage but haven’t driven it for 5-6 years.
No need to remove the flange.
WHERE YOU LOCATED BRO
Hey man, I noticed the TSB is for 2012 and up tacomas. I have an 08 with some pretty bad wind noise. do you think the updated weatherstrips would still fit?
I would imagine that they would still work on 05-11, but can't confirm since I don't know for sure.
The exhaust valve closes or opens 3 degrees later (or earlier)?
Ha, you heard me screaming and made a video. Thanks!!
I'm new to the Taco world just 8 days in so forgive my ignorance. Love the ram scoop idea for the stock air box this is where my confusion comes in you said you have a TRD air filter but I thought you had to the TRD air box for the filter fit. A video dedicated to this upgrade I think would be a huge hit. Thanks for all you have posted I'm doing a radiator upgrade as soon as it shows up. Did the thermostat, water pump, and fan clutch this week plus cleaned the old radiator temp is now perfect. Upgraded plugs the last owner left in the console that next weekend.
There is a Trd air filter element replacement for the stock air box, but the ram air scoop can be used with a standard paper filter as well 👍🏼
@@gio.rodriguez TRD filter for that model year was discounted but I found maybe the last one in country NYC at a Toyota dealer.
Great man, thanks for showing this all.
@@KuWizZ No problem, thanks for watching!
I wish I had 1/10 of your skill!! Love your videos. I just bought a 78 FJ40 last month ... it'll need some work too!
@@mikemurphyseemslikedThanks for watching! Check out ih8mud.com to learn all about these awesome machines 👍🏼
Very nice Tacoma! What rear bumper do you have? I'm becoming a fan of your videos. I'm currently planning out the CSF radiator, water pump, and fan clutch replacement learning from your videos. These seals will be next!
Thanks for watching! The rear bumper is made by at the helm fabrication 👍🏼
What temperatures are you running on the white truck with 35 both before and after radiator upgrade.
@@papa1351 the cooling system still stays at the same temp in normal conditions due to the thermostat, but it performs cooler under extreme conditions versus stock 👍🏼
Hard to imagine putting giant mud terrain tires on a truck and lifting it could make it loud. I wonder if there's a solution to that....😂
If you read the title it says wind noise, not tire noise.
Thanks. You must have those silent running 37s. I have to look for those. Must be new.
any updates?
lets talk about the S2K though
It sits in the garage a lot 😢 but will be headed to the paint shop soon to repair the failing paint on the fenders 👍🏼
@@gio.rodriguez love to see some videos on that if possible!
Awesome
Part #
All info is on the video on my channel
Did you drive your truck in between each phase of your sound deadening process? I am curious how much of a difference each phase made. Also, how much of a difference did these gaskets make? Thanks
Only sampled noise before sound deadening and after doing the cab. That dropped the sound about 3db. I’m going to do another test soon now that the doors sound deadening and seals are complete.
@@gio.rodriguez Nice! I have my doors and back wall done. Debating if I want to go all out with the floor and ceiling. I definitely like this seal replacement tho. Thanks for the video. I had no idea about these seals.
@@gio.rodriguezI’m curious what it will be complete. There’s a 3db theory that that db is the smallest change you can hear. So if the doors and seals quiet it another 2 or 3, that’d be significant.
No problem, thanks for watching!
I work from home, so it might be another week or so before I can get that final db reading. The last reading would be with the door sound deadening & door seals together. Didn’t get a chance to drive and see what the door sound deadening alone did.
Was there a clip holding the inner CV? I cant find a clip in my CV and its really on there
Are you referring to a clip on the inner cv shaft into the diff or the inner cv housing onto the birdcage and spherical balls?
9:55 is removing the instrument cluster the only way to have access to the wiper switch?
Yes, or the entire heater core under the dash but that’s a lot more work
What Year is tacoma
It is a 2015. Check out my walkaround vid on my channel 👍🏼
Great work and run through. I hope to get this done soon. Much appreciated!
Thanks! Just be sure to give yourself a lot of extra time to get it done
Clean!! And I need to pick up that same roller for the next time I do mine
I got the cheap set on Amazon but they put in work on this project haha
Whats the weight difference?
Roughly 6 pounds per door
Big difference! Q: what kind of running boards are those?
They are pelfreybilt rock sliders 🤙🏼
What size tires & wheels are you running on that rig?
315/75r16 Bfg km3 👍🏼 check out the walkaround vid on my channel
been waiting for this. Thanks brodie. Keep it up
Thanks for watching!
Putting in the work! Such a solid install though! I'm sure it sounds so much quieter now.
I'm very glad that it's over and done with lol! Got an 8 hour road trip in few weeks to put it to the test.
Love this !
Great video! Are you located in Fresno? Also If you had to guess, how much hp is gained but doing this and the -3 degree timing gear?
Thanks for watching! I’m located in SoCal. There hasn’t been any before & after dynos that I’m aware of.
This is a quality build thanks for the info and content
Glad you like it!
