General Release September 29
Celebrate the life of one of music’s greatest icons in this special premiere event. See the new movie CARLOS first, including intro content featuring director Rudy Valdez and Carlos Santana, exclusive to this event.
At the age of 5, in his native Mexico, he learned to play the violin. At 8, he developed a lifelong love for the guitar. At 14, he honed those guitar virtuoso skills and his performance style working as a street musician, starting his own band long after, while still a teenager. And at 22 - just before his first album was released to acclaim - Carlos Santana became one of the major discoveries of Woodstock, anchoring the famous festival’s second afternoon on August 16, 1969.
A music industry legend for 50 years and a 10-time Grammy-winning global sensation, Santana continues to be one of the music world’s premiere artists, blending jazz, blues, and the Mariachi sound with a rock n’ roll spirituality and a sense of connection to music’s primal connection to our deepest emotions.
The electric documentary CARLOS utilizes new interviews with Santana and his family alongside extraordinary, never-before-seen archival footage - including home video recordings Santana himself made; concert footage; and behind- the-scenes moments - as two-time Emmy-winning director Rudy Valdez creates an intimate, rich documentary about a man whose sound casts a spell on fans who love - as one of Santana’s famous titles says- “how his rhythm goes.”

Catching Santana in Vegas should be on everybody's bucket list.
Thanks! Will keep in mind
Yes I enjoyed 3 shows Nov ‘23. Great venue. Intimate and buzzing.
We had a near private performance at the Memorial Auditorium in Dallas in about 1973 due to an ice storm that glazed the city. We were so glad we took the risk and slid down for the show.
That was a great show too.that day we looked out the window wondering if we could even get there.we made it. We had to wait for other people to get to the parking lot all ice the cars had slid down against each other cars.but it was really fun and unforgettable
@@carlosbermejo5430 I'm amazed that someone else that was at that show saw this. Especially since there was only a hundred people at the most. We had to get out and push cars up the hill at the triple underpass to clear the street. Five of us in a red Mustang.
We got there and everyone was in their seats spread all over the arena, Carlos called everyone down to the front rows and put on a great show.
Thanks for the comment.
I have seen Mr Santana play live 8 times starting in the mid 70s at Cominsky Park in Chicago at the "LOOP's Day in the Park" concert. Last time I had the pleasure of one of his concerts was in San Antonio, TX on 9/11/11... the day after we got married for the last time. We went with my cousin (primo) Billy, who introduced me to Santana's music by playing the live albuam MOONFLOWER for me when i was 12... 1978.
Fell in love with his guitar mastery and have never faulted.
Loved each and every performance.
Rock n Roll
Awesome! I saw Carlos Santana 5 times live. Cheers!,✌️
I’m right behind you with 4 times seeing him live! The last being with Earth Wind & Fire. “Wall to wall” in an outdoor space at PNC in Jersey sold-out and completely surreal!! The lawn was full and had to stand on the concrete walkway surrounding it and that was packed too. Absolutely magical and divine every time. So grateful. Lifelong number one favorite artist of mine. The days of my childhood driving around with my Nana in her old Jeep listening to his Supernatural album are some of my fondest memories. Man, what a soul.
Amazing! Then I'm jealous of you ten times! 🙌👍
THAT'S A BAD DUDE !!¡!!!!!!!
HE'S JUST LIKE FINE WINE HE GET'S BETTER EVERY YEAR. MY 😘💋
i have seen them 36 times starting from 1977 on until 2019......its the soundtrack of my life! Hope we can see the film in Switzerland too!
Santana has always been my favorite group especially the early years. Can't believe I've never seen them live before. Also his Sacred Fire Concert in Mexico is a must see here on CZcams.
Santana is not a group...he's THE MAN!! JUST SAYING
Those living in certain northern hemisphere countries are so fortunate to regularly see their entertainers. I’m in south east Australia 🇦🇺 and have seen Santana once. Was a fantastic experience.
A highschool junior 1970 LA. Lowrider Impala white where my boyfriend and I rode up and down the streets of Torrance CA.and Santana blasting away with such bad ass coolness we thot we were just as cool 'cuz the lift kits, and their music swept us off our feet. Long live kings of cool. 😎💎💕✨
I’ve listened & seen this gentleman & his band since 1973, to this day, no one has blended rock, jazz fusion, funk, and just beautiful melodies as Carlos has. Thank you !
The Ed Sullivan Show = A REALLY BIG SHOW !!!
or a really big shoe, I was never sure which..
The thing about Santana that has always impressed me has been their energy on stage. It’s like if one of the players is on stage, they’re playing. There’s no standing around waiting for their chance to solo. Certainly one of the top acts I’ve ever seen live
And I looking forward to get this film in dvd...
I’m so excited for this Santana!!!! 💚💚💚 love you so much!!
Thank you so much my guitar King for the love you share in your great music . It has soul , meaning , so much energy ... so precious 🎸🎵👏👏

Santana is in my top 3 of all time, along with Hendrix and Van Halen
Did they film that intro on the same stage on which they filmed The Price is Right, years later?
Wait.. Wasn’t Gay Mannflag the special musical guest on the most watched episode of the Ed Sullivan show?
