I'm a believer. I love the Lord my God and I love all the beauty He has created and inspired, no matter what form it takes. In the realm of music, I have never felt more alive than when I'm listening to Carlos Santana. I hear his beautiful music, I feel the the passion, the emotions so clear and pure, but most of all the love pouring out of him, and by extension, his guitar. and it's as if God is speaking to me, to all of us through him, through his guitar. I have always loved and been touched by music, of many genres. I played classical piano for many years myself, so I appreciate and respect the musicians, the vocalists, the discipline and all that goes into making it happen. In my opinion, Mr Santana is on a whole nother level above anything else I've ever heard. He is special, he is one of the chosen, he is gifted and blessed! I was blessed enough to see him once at the Masonic Temple, Detroit Michigan. I can't remember the exact year but it was in the late 70s early 80s, I went to that concert with my brother his girlfriend my younger sister and a bunch of all of our friends we took up a whole roll in the top row of the second from the top tier, and I'll never forget because we were all standing up dancing and having a blast! The people behind us started yelling sit down, sit down! We told them no, stand up! Stand up! Then turned around to face the music again and I couldn't believe it, Santana had the spotlight up on our row, and he was pointing right at us! It was an awesome moment, one of the best memories I have from that time in my life! Santana has always been my number one, all time favorite and always will be! What I wouldn't give to be able to see Santana one more time, what a blessing that would be! You think?! I have been listening to SANTANA since High School (70's)... The days of LPs and the days we used to have group posters (from the LP's inserts) in our college dorm rooms...All of his LP Album Covers had only one name in BIG bold: SANTANA...Back then a lot of folks used to think He was Puerto Rican. When you walked in "Spanish Harlem" back in the day? SANTANA and Hector Lavoe was all you used to hear...
i hear carlos SANTANA from very very long time , the first day i have 18 years old. ....now i have 67years! !! carlos are no CHANGING, high level !!!!! and pop icone. thanks . jackyfan 👍(from little story and anecdotes i have alls vinyls in my discotheque)✌

I’m listening from Louisiana. I would love to be sitting in Carlos Santana audience and listen to him for couple hours. We’re all getting older now, I’m 64, so if I’m going to ………..A classic sound. It sounds like gold. ❤️
I consider myself a good Guitar Player; I can play many much more difficult themes, but this song... But when I play this song (alone in my room or at parties), always makes me cry. as simple as it sounds, took me years to actually understand how BEAUTIFUL and well written it is, the phrasings, melody, harmony, motives.... such a Masterpiece.
congratulations on wanting to play like Santana...he's the best for finding emotions you didn't know you had...Europa written by him and done by Gato...OMG! one of my favorites of all time...

I saw Santana the summer before Woodstock in Cleveland. It was in a theatre that held about 2,000 people but there were only about 200 when I got there and they started playing. Cleveland was on every band's touring circuit because it was a mid-way gig between Chicago and NYC. So the audiences were pretty knowledgeable about good music. As soon as Santana started everybody, black, white, Hispanic, didn't matter, we were all on our feet dancing and we stayed that way the entire concert. I was high on some good cannabis and sweating and dancing and making eye contact with other people and they were just as much in ecstasy as I was. Never forget that night.

Wow, thank you for your amazing comment, Maria! It's fans like you who make all the hard work worth it. Your support means everything to me and I'm grateful for it every day.
THIS MAN SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE FIRST TO BE INDUCTED INTO THE ROCK MUSIC HALL OF FAME , IN MY VERY HUMBLE OPINION . LONG AFTER EDDIES MUSIC FADES THIS MANS' MUSIC WILL LIVE ON . SOOO SENSUAL AND EMOTIONAL..🎼🎻🎶 THANK YOU CARLOS FOR BEING A PART OF MY LIFE ...
❤
❤
Absolutely hands down he should have been first !! Such an amazing talented man!! My mom used to put me to sleep with Santana every night
TOTALLY AGREE! I GO SEE HIM EVERY CHANCE I GET (AM I A GROUPIE?) ONE OF MY MANY MANY MANY FAVORITES!!!!! TO YOU JIMMY!
Carlos Santana is the only one in the world who can make a guitar cry! He is best of the best!
Carlos vs Jimi ?

@@lunallena947 I’m grateful for your fan love Luna, have you ever been to any of my concerts or shows before?
I’m listening from Louisiana. I would love to be sitting in Carlos Santana audience and listen to him for couple hours. We’re all getting older now, I’m 64, so if I’m going to ………..A classic sound. It sounds like gold. ❤️
I consider myself a good Guitar Player; I can play many much more difficult themes, but this song...
But when I play this song (alone in my room or at parties), always makes me cry. as simple as it sounds, took me years to actually understand how BEAUTIFUL and well written it is, the phrasings, melody, harmony, motives.... such a Masterpiece.
▶️🎸🎧🙋♂️🌸
congratulations on wanting to play like Santana...he's the best for finding emotions you didn't know you had...Europa written by him and done by Gato...OMG! one of my favorites of all time...
That's because he plays it different each time he plays it
The same here.I can play some songs of him but to write this songs and his feeling for his guitar is unique.🎸🙏

A samba like no other and one of my all time favorites too... Carlos strums the chords of countless souls but he actually plays mostly single note melodies on this one and no chords at all !

That is what it does, its like a road for beautiful memory's. Time when u stop and think of what was lovely for you and miss. Twice I have looked at pictures when this song begun.
That is effing magical. Lucky. ❤️🍎💋🎼
