Great recommendations. I’ve also been finding good value in Southern Rhone. For example Gigondas and steak is an awesome combination and isn’t as expensive as Châteauneuf-du-Pape

I find this particularly Côtes du Rhône (2018 magnum) earlier this year and it was so disappointing. Overly perppery and not very balanced. Definitely a case of what personal taste, but I think there is better value for the money. I genuinely think it needs 2 or 3 years to be enjoyable.
