I feel this too. My study abroad in Tokyo was cancelled twice because of everything. I can’t help but think what life would be like had my plans just gone through. I still sometimes go back to your old Tokyo vlogs :)

I was supposed to follow my dream and move to japan September 2021 but because of COVID being so bad in the UK i put it on hold so i know how you feel. Japan is my home to me and i miss it everyday, I’m just hoping that after i finish my postgraduate studies in the next 2 years i can move back, decided to further my studies while the pandemic is happening! I wish you the best of luck in this financial year and keep on making videos! I hope you get to follow your dream soon and get back to japan!

I love Oomomo! I was in Vancouver last summer and unfortunately they closed the Daiso there but it’s been replaced by another Japanese dollar store.
I first found your channel when I came back to Toronto and was having “japan withdrawal”. You were still in Korea at that time and then when you moved to japan I started watching more of your videos to fulfill my “japan withdrawals.” And then when you came back to Toronto I was so surprised as I didn’t know you were originally from here too, such a coincidence!
I totally understand how you are feeling. When I first came back (I lived in Tokyo for a year for school) here I had reverse cultural shock for like 6 months. Japan still always lingers in my mind but it just doesn’t make sense when you’re an adult unless you have a long term career there or something. I have gone back to visit a few times and I had originally booked a trip to go back there with my bf in April 2020 but it was cancelled due to covid :(
FOMO sucks but you don’t have to worry! You still have lots of time now you have flexibility. A lot of people don’t have that because they are tied to a job and etc.
I sense great things coming your way and am excited to see you going back and forth to Japan this coming year!

I was the opposite, for years I didn't watch any Japan content because I was so bitter from my mistake of leaving there.

I'm actually going to Daiso tomorrow, and yesterday I went to Miniso. I live in Brazil btw, and Brazil has the biggest Japanese population in the world outside of Japan. So it's easy to find Japanese stuff in any place. We do have a huge Japanese neighborhood that due to the pandemic I haven't been able to go to. So I can only go to stores near my house for now like Daiso, Miniso and Sukiya. I'm so ready for this pandemic to be over.

Not sure what other stores will close and change to curb-side pick up in Toronto with the upcoming lockdown again, but you better get as much shopping (the store browsing kind) done ASAP!
The past two months I've just assumed all stores are closed anyways aside from pharmacy and grocery ahhaa!
Maybe WayFair has a wire tray cable organizer or management box that fits your needs. I feel like Ikea has one too!

Your japanese/korean groceries made me miss Liberdade so much 😭😭😭 Liberdade is a japanese neighborhood in the city of São Paulo (Brazil). I visited there once a month before covid (I live in Santos, a coastal region, 1h drive from São Paulo city).
Hope you find peace at what and where you are right now. I really think that we are where and at we are supposed to be in this covid situation, so we can heal ourselfes and help people. I'm greatfull that I'm in a stable financial situation now (that I've not had been for the past 3-4 years).
Overall, hope you get to go back to Japan soon!!!
I totally agree! I feel like this covid situation and being stuck at home has been a real life wakeup call for many of us to push harder for the things we truly desire in our souls. Hopefully once this mess ends, we can take bigger steps towards our wants, needs, and desires.

Do you ever wish you never left japan? When you said once that Emily was going to get you some modelling work in japan but you left? I miss the japan vlogs with Kim , Taylor, Sharla and Emily was sad when everyone left Japan i love Japan ive been 4 times each time it gets harder and harder to leave
Yes all the time. My biggest life mistake was leaving for a dead end situation.

I have no problem with the taste of natto, for me its the texture of the sticky goo that I just can't 😂😅. It's a shame tho cuz I've heard it makes super healthy breakfast.

Daiso out here in BC was turned into an Oomomo, but like its still the same thing anyway. Glad the rest of the country can enjoy what Daiso was like

Why did you change your channel name
Hi! I changed it just over a year ago because the original name "biibiibap" was a take on Korean words mixed with my main channel name at the time "biibiibeauty" that I made when I moved to Korea. As I hadn't been living in Korea for 5 years, the name did not make sense to me, nor did it align with what my channel encompassed. I wanted a name that was more simple, memorable, cute, and still included "Bii" as that is my nickname both irl and online. :)

I did but it was a private video on my patreon a year and a half ago as it had very personal and emotionally damaging information that I only wanted those who truly valued and respected it to see :(
