Never compare Korean with Japanese. Korean is different from Japanese, in terms of face, body, character. Japanese have nothing to do with Korean. You can compare Chinese and Japanese for they are close in terms of face, body, cultures.

I wish you didn't feel the need to apologize for your opinion, but it was sweet that you wanted others to acknowledge your sincerity. You are not the first (and will not be the last) to say Korea has very rude and racist people, so don't be so hard on yourself. I also heard (not from you) several people comment on the extremely high beauty standards that Korea has as a culture with both men and women, making it more difficult for the average foreigner to feel good about themselves or while trying to fit in and adjust to life in Korea.

i think you should have just moved to Osaka, and not Tokyo. Osaka seems like it would work better for you.

Work culture of Japan is toxic, that is the only drawback else it is the saftest and lovely country.

I was born in China and moved to Toronto when I was 10. Gotta say that feeling of being amazed by the Canadian friendliness wore off rather quickly. I realized that subtle acts of racism often goes under the radar and Asians who are born here just don't act the best around 1st-gen immigrants. I unfortunately have a slight accent and they pick up on it pretty fast. But yea you are right about Asian cities having a better system for pedestrians. Can confirm that having lived in China for 10 years. BTW you look mixed, so I'm curious about your ethnicity :)

I think Toronto is a great city for jobs and comfort, specially when you have children, much better life balanced than Tokyo or Seoul. I don’t think people move here for the weather. Downtown core is not designed for living, probably better to live around the perimeter sacrificing walking for public transit. We come from nomads after all and we only live once, explore to you liking.

Question, do you have to eventually apply for citizenship in the country you live in after staying there for a certain amount of time? I know you would have to if your final decision is to live there pernamintly and be involved in with it's system like voting there? If you apply for citzenship in that country, does that mean you are no longer considered a U.S citizen if that country does not do dual citizenship? Are the moving companies who would move your items including your veheicle overseas associate with airlines? Do you know any companies who move your items long distance within the country and overseas? If yes, can you please name them? Do you know any international job application websites?

I think most of tourists are coming to Korea because of kpop and kdramas, if you want more historical places I think nobody cant' beat China or Italy.

This wouldn't be my first time to move, but when i was overseas, I was a child and i didn't have an idea of what was happening because I was a child. This is my first time as adult and the think I'm mainly struggling in the emotional process of things. I have lived my 15+ years in my hometown and although I did not get out much, I have close college friends up to this date. I haven't full acknowledge that I'm about to live for a while, and its now definitely creeping in.

What I don't like about toronto is a certain subculture. There the whole "toronto man" culture the whole gloyrifying gang and crime to the point where there pages like 6ixbuzz, 6ix Wars exist; artisits openly talking about their crimes/murders even the likes of Drake in certain lyrics talks abot it and the image they protray and promote. I grew up with plenty of people that went down that path and it makes me think how in such a place did you end up thinking that is the only way to make money and find meaning in life..

If I had to put my thought about TO in words, it would echo yours. I’ve been here for three years and despite trying my best to find things I like, I feel TO just makes it difficult for it to be likeable. I’ve also noticed that folks who’ve travelled or lived in metropolitan across the globe will agree with TO being an absolute shit show. But others who prefer the slow unpassionate way of living and haven’t really explored other places prefer it here . While I appreciate the opportunity to live here which most people are desperate for, I’m really really trying to move out but not sure where yet. (And oh yes no other Canadian city can make it better, by move out I mean moving out of Canada lol)

Come to Vancouver, it's the closest to Asia without worrying about a visa. ^_^ Also tons of hiking available. Annddd when you do travel to Asia it's a shorter flight and usually a lot cheaper.
