- 7 BIGGEST Underwater Mysteries
From an underwater stonehenge to a picture of a mastadon on a rock to magnetic anomolies in a strange lake, these are the 7 biggest underwater mysteries will still don't understand.
Narration provided by JaM Advertising New Mexico www.tasteofjam.com
Ivan Terence Sanderson was a Scottish biologist who first coined the term "Vile Vortex" to describe areas of unusual phenomena found around the world. He claimed there were twelve such areas, and barring the few on land in Asia, Africa and Antarctica; most of these areas can be found out at sea, with the most famous being - the Bermuda Triangle.
Right now the only people playing "hide the sub" should be Jared from Subway's cellmates, but in 1968 someone or something caused not one, not two, but four submarines to randomly disappear around the world.
Stonehenge is one of the most famous historical monuments in the world, but it is far from the only random arrangement of old-timey stones humanity has uncovered. We've seen similar sites across Europe, Asia, Africa and America, but none of these were ever discovered underwater.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration constantly monitor the ocean for unique sounds emanating from the ocean. They pick up all sorts of strange and weird noises every day, yet whilst most can be explained, the origin of some has never been determined.
With a name like that you know this thing isn't gonna be small. Leptocephalus Giganteus is an eel species of which only two have ever been observed, and on both occasions they were undeveloped larvae. The first sighting was in 1930 off the coast of South Africa, when Danish scientist Anton Brunn captured a 6ft specimen. He recognised it as the larvae of a Leptocephalus, who are typically around one thirtieth of the adult's size, which means if fully matured it could have grown to over 180ft.
There are countless examples of marine biologists estimating the size of an ocean dwelling creature only to encounter one far larger than anyone thought possible. One such event occurred in Japan's Suruga Bay, where Japanese scientists detected a huge 30ft shark, leading some to wonder whether the prehistoric Megalodon, which measured up to 59 feet, could still be lurking somewhere at the bottom of the ocean today.
Southern Siberia's Lake Baikal is the largest freshwater lake in the world, and not only is it incredibly ancient, clocking in at 25-30 million years old, but the lake and surrounding area also contains a rich biodiversity of over 1000 plant species and 2500 animal species, of which 80% exist nowhere else in the world. - Zábava
I like this guy's narration
He did a great job in this video. Turned down the constant jokes; but he still retains his humor. His narration skills have come a long way fast. Nice work!
_I've always wanted to say this: For shizzle!_
+Deemaree Dubois oh never mind he just gave a zinger on number 2 with that Jarrad comment.
I like his voice but I would miss the corny jokes.
Same 🙋💁🙌👍👐✋👏👏
This guy grew on me damn it.
Ewwww.
I know, I'll get it removed eventually.

+REX Sitchon not recently

I don't understand why someone hasn't tried to explore every inch of that lake. Don't damage it just observe and catalog what they see.
why dont you do it
Not everyone with insatiable curiosity has a fat wallet to match

because they are full of caca if it was real they get the funding believe
+Kimmarie Trentacosta
XD
you forgot to mention the Russian military that where killed when performing underwater training and they where quoted as saying some kind of humanoid creatures without any kind of scuba gear attacked them resulting in the death of several of their training crew.
*Mermaids?*
Alex Figueroa www.cryptopia.us/site/2015/01/baikal-lake-humanoids-russia/
it's the same lake he mentions in the video but he never mentioned this story. I think he might have covered this story in another video so that might explain it.
Really? Sounds too interesting to be true.
Why does it have to be mermaids? Why is it so hard for us to think outside the box? I'm not saying I know it all, or anything. But really, there are so many alternative possibilities out there and we get bent out of shape because of a _single_ idea or possibility. It's insanely close minded.
Think about what our future tech could or would look like. Are we really going to continue using bulky oxygen tanks, tubes, and giant flippers into the future? I think not. In fact such technology in our not too distant future could be so integrated into our physical form as to be almost imperceivable, at least at a passing glance.
And once again, that's just one potential explanation as to how such a story could be plausible.
Sern well haha I don't believe in mermaids so I just assumed it was angels, most people would say that is just as crazy but I'm a Believer in Jesus so for me it's just as possible as your theory Thanks for the feedback. .
Good god that Jared cut was savage.
Plot twist, this voice turns out is Nathan doing a different voice!
Maybe
+SharPlayz Games maybe I love you.
+mewkuro12 i can change my voice and i didn't practice

hide the sub hahaha with Jarred and his cell mates. good one
Ouuu, so interesting! Love all your vids :)
What if portals to other dimensions actually exist? That explains all the disappearances of all those ships and planes
watch a video called are history is not what we think by south somewhere its an hour long but we need to understand and people call me crazy for things like what's in this video please help people understand
+Nicholas Branson I'm not going to watch it, but I believe you. The world is corrupt.
There would be disturbances in and around the area. Typically atoms, photons, electrons, neutrons would behave differently, light would be distorted, waves of radiation, microwaves and electromagnetic waves. Any kind of matter would be sucked in, not just planes and ships. All these things and many more would be tested in that area and at least one of those things would behave differently in the presence of dimensional portals. An incredible amount of power would be used to make such a portal too. Probably nothing less than the power of a black hole and if that was the case, the Earth.. No, the solar system would be non existent if such a thing with that power did exist here. It's a cool theory, very interesting but such a thing just wouldn't exist on this planet without us knowing about it.
Portals? Science tries to stay away from words like portals, it’s one step away from fairies
You people have earned yourselves a new subscriber
Can you do a list of people who have died of too many dank memes?
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
I should be on that list
+MegaAwesomevideo is it because he's black
+Pixel Cat Yes
How could someone die by dank memes?
Dank memes is life
dank memes is love

It's almost as if Nathan and this mysterious voiceover guy are intertwined in an epic battle over soul possession (literally) of this channel.
the Jared from Subway metaphor was savage
Whilst I was listening to this video, I was shaving. Now, I'm typing this comment whilst listening to it. Whilst, I'm getting ready for class, I'm considering skipping to complete assignments due later this week. Whilst.
I LOVE your videos!
If you like these videos, check out my channel, they're quite similar
I saw some videos on your channel, good work!
Thanks a lot, glad you liked it
For some reason, your self-advertisement really doesn't feel as pushed as others.
Thanks, I try
Man, this narrator/writing is awesome. I watch a lot of these list-type videos and this is by-far the best.
This guy does a great job as a narrator and for the first time ever it actually doesn't matter to me which narrator is doing the video because they're still awesome either way, great job on these entertaining and informative videos and thank you because I'm definitely glad I subscribed!!
OHH NOO NOT THE GAINT EVERYTHING 😱
glad to hear the homeless man with the golden voice is back to narrate
You have an incredible voice for narration. Thank you for sharing.

I want to go visit lake Baikal.
same!
Lake Baikal has yes another strange fact to it: the only naval battle ever in which Czech (or, actually, Czechoslovak) navy took part was on the lake Baikal.
In Soviet Russia, Baikal visits you
Come on then let’s go, I got a snorkel and some hilarious flippers!
YAAAAYY!! YOU'RE BACK!!!
Damn, that Subway Jared joke completely caught me off guard. Well played!
why do i feel like im watching an episode of "Cheaters" when this guy narrates?
Disappeared around January 25th and wasn't discovered until 1999..... wait what???
What?
all these videos taught me 03-07 was a good year for discovers
1:50 i am really disappointed that the narrator didn't use the opportunity to say "Or if you think it's all a bunch of hoopla"
2:10 Shredded
Not 1, not 2, but FOUR submarines to go missing across the world. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
truuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu 😙😘😔😘😘😖😋😋😝😭😭😭😣😤😷😲😧😳😍😟😰😮😩😶😶😀😬😉😃😉😯😯😠😕😅☺☺😈😃😃😱😱😟😈😱😟😠😉😾👶😺🙈👨🙉😹👩🙉🙈

wow,you never run out of idea! nice work there man!
People should stop with the issue of who is narrating and start focusing more on the video's content.. mkay?
True
True!
Did you kidnap Nathan?
Or did Nathan kidnap you?
+Ricki Vasquez what if I tell you, that in an alternate universe, I am Nathan.

Yeah, the Jared joke got you a new sub!
Great video guys this was awesome!
lol at first i read the biggest underwear
worthy of a strange mysteries vid
Right ! Lol 7 biggest underwear mysterys
Me too!
Explore space? HA!
Better if you explore the ocean and it's darkest secrets before you go into the endless parts that would take you years
then, why don't you explore the ocean? The people exploring space can't just drop everything and start exploring the oceans, so we need new scientists to do it instead.
:D great channel you have here!
I use to be like "where's Nathan?" for the first few videos without him, but I've really grown to like the new narrator :) Keep up the good work!
1:00 what the hell is this map with america in the middle ?? looks like crap
LOL I agree
Oh, you make me sad.
+Jared stop hiding ur subs jared
damit nathan
Great video loved the Jared joke lol
This is great! my favorite channel.
What is up with you making sure you say "whilst" in every video?
Would you prefer he talk as you type, questioning the content within his video with "what is up with....etc".
Well that's actually a question for the writer, I've got Burgandy Syndrome as a professional :) So if it's on the teleprompter....well...
It's a nice word?:)
***** First rule in a production is you never pay mind to critics, just to the nice people! Thanks Qwyzl!
not Jared
From a scientific standpoint; Lake Baikal is very unique and interesting... However it is likely sensationalized and slightly misrepresented due to it being a tourist attraction. It is probably subject to a *confirmation bias*- just like the Bermuda triangle. For instance, authorities will be quick to report all the boats that do seemingly "disappear," without considering all the hundreds or thousands of boats that have crossed the lake successfully over the centuries. Furthermore, the fact that it is an ancient, freshwater lake that straddles a tectonic rift zone, could explain why it has a prominent *magnetic field*. This reservoir of electrical potential and energy could also explain the lights, folklore and the petroglyphs. The petroglyphs simply reflect the cultural *interpretations* of the causes of the phenomena by the existing inhabitants in that time period. It is a similar phenomena that causes *"Earthquake lights"* and the now renowned *"Hessdalen lights"* of Norway. It is possible that Baikal- in a similar fashion to the Hessdalen valley- contains a sulfurous layer, in particular sulfate anions (negatively charged ions), metallic cations (positively charged ions) and other necessary geological requirements assembled in such a rare way to act as a sort of *"Natural battery."* Basically a balanced geologic mixture that produces electric currents that could be conducted through the water and generate a spectacular light show under specific conditions. Lastly, many of the reported vivid apparitions on the lake's surface could be a very prominent type of mirage called *"Fata Morgana."* This could occur in very specific atmospheric conditions where layers of air- namely warm air of the atmosphere and the cold, frozen air surrounding the lake- to interact to bend and refract light in such a way so as to generate the mysterious floating images on the lake's surface. *Disclaimer: I will admit that while some of the occurrences of Lake Baikal can be explained naturally, it does not negate the possibility that there may still be supernatural forces at work here.* :)
Fantastic work!
I liked the Jared reference....
Yo where's Nathan
where's Nathan?
up you're ass in the corner though the tube
He dieded
Right here.
Alien abduction
Why is the political compass graph your picture?
Sometimes I wonder why people don't just send a remote controlled submarine with a camera into areas, such as Lake Baikal, instead of going in a manned sub that you could most likely die in.
robots are expensive. people are cheap and expendable
great research, it was awesome ^^
The Missing Subs.........cribers.
The octopus thing was real! It was on the new's even! Number 1 could be Aliens!
