Hey man, so I have a 95 Chevy k1500 that I’m thanking of squatting it after I install a 4” suspension lift kit. I was wondering if it’s safe to squat ur truck or does damage some how to the truck!??
Squatting your truck does do damage, but so does any other upgrade you do to it . It never done anything to my truck, but I also didn’t leave mine squatted very long . 2 of my buddies have had their trucks squatted for like a year and hasn’t had any problems from it , but another one of my buddies had his squatted for probably a month and his transmission went out . So people just get lucky
So why does it do damage to ur transmission for I’m guessing it’s because to much air dunking underneath the pickup. Cause it to be harder on the transmission.
Tbh i squatted mine for content, im not a fan of it. I left it for like a week and put the rear lift back in. It draws a lot of attention but its just not for me. But it adds a little more stress to your transmission but nothing that it can’t handle. I say it alot in the comments but as long as your angles aren’t off because of it then you’ll be fine
Alright I’m doing this to my truck but I don’t know if I need to put the stock shocks back in I have a 4 inch block in the back with zone 4 inch lift shocks do I have to change the shocks to take the blocks out?
That's a clean stance i'd like to achieve this on my 03 Tahoe anyway to delete the autoride and convert to heavy duty shocks any issue with clearing 35s at this height.
