I already have the audio files done. What I need is to figure out how to make a single file with chapters in it of all the audio files so I can sell it as a digital audiobook on my website. I cannot find this information anywhere! How can I make a file that will have chapters in it so it can be downloaded from my website without the customer having to download each chapter?
I can tell you how I have done it so far. The easiest way (that I have found) would be to convert them into a video format (by either editing the files into such, or by pairing it with a pre existing video) and to put it into a video editor, and to clip all of them together (the one I use is Xsplit Video Editor, but I'm pretty certain they discontinued the product). Once they are all together, you can switch it back to an MP4 file if you wish for audio only, or keep it as a video if you plan to have the pages in the backdrop. I'm certain there are other, easier ways, but that has been the method that I had come up with when I first grasped an interest in recording audio books.
I ended up hiring a sound engineer to put the thing together. The narrator kept sending me files. They were a mess and then the sound guy had to even it out and put it on ACX. One thing I will tell you to is to pay attention to the intro-outro clips. They are very specific as to what they want.

Yes, they are the worst. Once you become an author, they block you from accessing your account and you can never get a hold of anyone to fix the problem. Whatever you do, make sure it is not amazon!! And do not get me started on the formatting issues. It is a trick, "free " when in fact they will not accept your perfectly formatted book and want you to use one of their paid services to reformat at a huge cost.

Clicking this far exceeded what I was hoping to get out of a video and I feel lucky. It taught me of, or exposed me to many things I had not thought of before. I subscribed dude, what I would like to see next would be how to find a popular area of content to transcribe into an audiobook. I know that sounds too simple and easy like I'm expecting you to give me a Million Dollar Idea for free lol, no I don't mean that! But what is your thought process when you start something like this? In particular there is an audio book I have listened to many times recently, all on CZcams. *Darren Shan's Demonata series.* I read this book when I was young and now listening to it as own of my very first audiobooks I ever listened to I was straight away hooked onto audiobooks. But there's 10 books, so 10 videos on CZcams. The actual voice actors only recorded the first 6 out of the 10. The last 4 were left uncomplete for many years, but now someone has gratefully done a Fan recording. I don't mind it but it's got mixed reviews, I would like to do my first audiobook attempt as doing my own version of filling in these last 4 books. Not trying to make them identical to the first 6 because that's impossible but finding a few enjoyable matching voices as voice actors I pay and doing the last 4 books. It's not my book right, I want to make this just for fun to complete something just for fun that I really like and post it on CZcams. Do I need to be afraid of like Copyright? Can I make any money off the audiobook and if I do anyways, can I be like sued... As you can see I'm a bit new to this whole side of the world, but thank you for reading.
