Don't tell people ghostwriter's are only $750 to a K for a 50K book. I'm a ghostwriter and I'd never work for that. Think about it this way you're asking someone to generate a very nice income for you--possibly for years to come with no credit for their work. You're asking for something special and important that you're staking your name and income on, usually from someone with higher education and experience. BUT you're paying them less than a fast food worker to make a burger. The only people who work for that are people from other countries where the American dollar is stronger or desperate inexperienced new writers, who don't realize ghostwriting means they literally can't build a resume because of the NDAs they have to sign. Please don't sell us so short. It exploits us.
I think I missed something. Are the books being written original or someone else's book that has already been published, just not converted to Audiobook format? Are you converting books already in Audiobook format, or do you find a book that has yet to be converted? How do you go about finding a book that has yet to be converted - is there a way to find a shortlist of books to convert?
Keep in mind.. if a book has already been written by someone else.. you CANNOT convert someone else's book to an audio book. You will be in violation of Copyright laws! You will need to write a book of your own.. then you can sell it as an eBook, an in-print book. or an audio book or all three.
Why doesn't the ghost writer just sell the Audiobook himself. Why are they okay with receiving one time payment for the writing, rather than the income stream you create from it?

Could you provide some insight? I think this is a great idea for a video for you to create maybe explaining why accounts get taken down and the steps to avoid this (if you haven't already). I have to tell you though that in many parts you talked too fast and in many places you had a tendency to drop your voice down at the end of sentences. It would be nice for you to speak more clearly. Sounds like your experience is different from mine. Margins depend on many factors - number of pages, color or BW printing, font size, etc. A book with around 30k to 50k words printed in black and white that is priced at $20 should earn a lot more than $2 after fees... Bare minimum $5 per sale is what I have experience.

So you are saying you need to come up with your own book for a particular subject, hire all these people to actually read it alloud, then convince AMZ that you own the rights to that book and then sell it?
That's also an option, you'd then get compensated for providing the recording. What Dane is talking about is creating a book yourself and finding someone to record it/record it yourself and publish it on Audible, so all Audible sales go to you as the author.

A giant scam, in other words. Find a "keyword" and pay a mere $750 to $1k, to create something that pays an expected 10% royalty. On a $20 audiobook, that's $2 in royalties. Do you think 500 people want to listen to ghost-written garbage for you to break even?
A giant scam indeed 🙂 Especially when you pull numbers like that out of no where... $15 audiobooks (3 hours+ in length, 30k words or so) make around $4 per sale which means once you are able to sell around 250 - 300 of them, you're technically making your money back and the rest is profit. Have you ever worked with a talented ghostwriter before? Not all of them are from the US and are charging $10k for a 50k word book... Many are talented in their field and do writing on the side. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to find these people, hence why KDP + Audible has treated me so well over the past few years. People buy high quality books about popular topics, it's as simple as that.
$1k to have a 30k word book written is a very good price... Anything lower than that and your book will lack quality and get no sales long term. You want to have a high quality book with around 25k to 40k words so you can get it to 3+ hours on Audible/ACX... This is the sweet spot to get the best bang for your buck.

Yes, if the information is plagiarized than you will be banned on Amazon and Audible.
