Ty for the â€ïž but anybody with in the fight game can respect good striking I come from a strong karate kickboxing background kyokoshin
For someone with his background and no martial arts training at all as a youth just shows what a unique human being he really is. Even at a Genetic level he's special. That left hook!
Hed probably put down the higher weight division champs aswell Has held two belts at the same time the guys the best ever.
Most MMA fighters start late so not that uncommon
@@jessethechampion9537 but his kickboxing accolades considering he started late for training. Most people who specialise in a martial art at the highest level done it from young age
@@jessethechampion9537 Most dont start at 21 with absolutely no training in any martial arts. Jon Jones started mma at 20, but he had been a great wrestler before then. GSP started around the same age, but he had been training in karate and he trained wrestling (he never competed in wrestling but trained with his coach before he started his mma career) Alex peireira started with nothing whatsoever.
@@user-vt3vo1yd3v yes alot of elite fighters have wrestling backgrounds or other martial arts training before MMA. Rare you'll see someone with nothing and still have success in combat sports
Bro is Izzy's biggest hater. Beat him in kickboxing, rematched and did it again, Izzy escaped to the UFC, Pereira FOLLOWED HIM to the UFC, and knocks him out yet again. Legendary bully.
đ đ
For me it's the fact that he only followed Izzy to the UFC because of his big mouth saying he was alcoholic and would be a nobody in a bar watching him as an UFC star. đ He would still be champ with he could keep his mouth shut.
Hater is not the word
And you know bro wants that light heavyweight strap to fuck with Izzy đ
Alexđ„đ„đ„
Even after his loss at 287, Alex's stoicism and good sportsmanship still shows. Alex Periera will continue a successful UFC career, even Adasanya noted how good of a guy Alex is

Dude is an absolute force of nature.
To come in completely weight drained and recover from the heavy stun in the first round is magic in itself but to be able to get the stoppage in the 5th in that condition is the stuff of legend.
Dude clearly does the biggest weight cut in UFC history yet it doesnât affect him at all is just pure fear & has his opponents on the back foot before the bell has even rung.
@@pavanjot9422 i wouldnt say the biggest weight cut in ufc history but it definitely is quite a bit
Heâs actually candid and honest in interviews. When I saw him talking about Strickland my opinion changed of him
You just know Strickland needed that confidence boost too. Really cool of Pereira.
He's like the new Kratos, reserved in emotion , explosive in execution

Alex, thankyou for helping me put the bottle down. You are my favourite fighter. I have boxed as an amateur in Australia and unfortunately I went to prison. I boxed inside our maximum security prison Silverwater and John Maroney, I won most fights because of no alcohol. My life was ok but my father was an alcoholic and like yourself I have aboriginal blood inside. I think our DNA cannot handle alcohol or drugs they are a new Anglo-Saxon invention. All that said you inspire me to do well in life. I even bought a bow and Arrow set. I hope you read this. It would mean the world to me. Bless you my friend
Totally brother i am also aboriginal from india and my family unfortunately has problem with alcohol without it we are our best instead you should try to find the native tribal natural drinks i also find out instead alcohol ,juice from pqlm tree is good
Alex is inspirstion for me too.
Can't believe people are still dismissing him even after improving so much in such short time.
Maybe because he rose through the ranks without much fanfare and got the championship title in short order. Not many can achieve that in a short time like he did.
@@Quantum3691 He should be known by mma fans as the combat sport legend he is. But mma fans are ignorant and know nothing about fighting anyway. Thatâs why in mma heâs not a big deal.

@@FkTheUFC I think it more comes down to marketing and the popularity of each sport. He is more well known in kickboxing than he is in the more popular MMA. The fight was close but Alex won it. He is THE MAN who has beaten Adesanya THREE TIMES. We got these other guys saying he won't keep it...He's the only one to knock out Izzy and he did it twice. Adesanya might later beat him (but he's 0-3) but who else? I see him still having room to improve. Izzy was already the best he'll ever be. New sub. Great channel. Really interesting finding out about the fighters backgrounds.
Legend has it the gods of combat created and gifted Alex his Left hand due to his troubled youth and indigenous warrior tribe roots
There is some research now to suggest that the hard work and skills of your forefathers, depending on how removed you are from them (indigenous people, historically are very close to their tribal ancestors), you could inherit some of that edge. Alex is one such man, warrior đȘ¶.
