Hot Cross Bun Liquorice Rocks

HOT CROSS BUN LIQUORICE ROCKS (episode 104)

Easter is definitely gone now but I bet you STILL have a few dry hot cross buns somewhere. Maybe you froze the ones you didn't finish? Here's another better of a recipe.
INGREDIENTS:
1 hot cross bun, broken into random lumps
1 egg
1 splash of milk
1 big knob of butter for frying
3 tbsp icing sugar
1-2 tsp liquorice root powder
Beat the egg and milk together and drop the hot cross bun lumps into the mix to soak it up while you melt the butter in a frying pan. Fry the lumps. While they're frying mix the icing sugar and the liquorice root powder together.
When the lumps (rocks) are golden on all sides drench in the liquorice sugar before eating.

You know I think people in general can be a bit funny about liquorice. I love it but whenever I use it I get a fair amount of 'puke-face' emojis. Anyway, these work! Thanks for the comment!
