How to install a Glove Box light in a 2022 Ford Explorer.

After finding out Ford started leaving out the Glove box light on the Mid year 2021 and up Ford Explorer I wanted to install a glove box light on my 2022 Ford Explorer ST. The wife had to search too many times in the dark for tissue for our daughter. So I bought the part form my local dealership and went after it. After finding out the 2022's don't even have the wiring behind the glove box but there were many people that wanted the glove box light on their Explorer I knew I had to make a video on it. I routed mine to the back of the cigarette lighter in front console. Which powers down when car is off and vice versa.

FYI everything when your car does an OVER THE AIR UP DATE YOUR AMBIENT LIGHTING GOES TO BLACK TILL YOU READJUST, SO YOUR GLOVE BOX MAYBE BLACKED OUT WHEN THAT HAPPENS.

I ordered the light kit for my 22 ST.... I was peeved when I opened the glove box at night and no lights!! ugh... Thank you for this vid!
Other then that, I've had my ST for 3 weeks now and absolutely love it... I have the aFe intercooler, strut brace, Mishimoto Intercooler on the install pile now. Just need to find time to head out and get it installed.
