I had that exact same thought about about that style dropper post, dropping seems easy enough, but getting back up would be too much time with the bars in a pinch.

Overall I think its good for in certain situations for sure. Like loaning a bike to friends at varying heights. Just not that great for trail riding with varying degrees of ups and downs at a moments notice.
