    2. Bill answered all my emails and not with just one word replies.
    3. I'm getting heads and cam package. RPM is the only place that didn't want to charge me for shipping heads out amd getting them done. I'm guessing they already have the heads on site.

    An under drive fully makes the water pump and and other accessories turn slower, not faster. This is helpful in some road racing applications

      Came here to say this. I agree that the difference in HP is basically nil in my experience. However, if you have a rowdy high-rpm valvetrain that you plan to spin to the moon, an underdrive pulley can save your accessories.

    Pretty amazing how close an LT1 on E85 heads, cam can come to the numbers of a heads cam LS7 despite being at a 51 cubic inch disadvantage

      Compression, head flow, and cam timing can all make up for displacement. The smaller the motor the farther out the power will be pushed to the top of the power-band.

    Is there a difference in motors now with this Gen of Camaro like the LS3/L99 was in the other ones? Is there a benefit or power increase/decrease to either an Auto or Manual trans when it comes to this engines now

      Similar hp to a Stage 3, but definitely less torque. Obviously due to the lack of displacement in comparison. And that's with a blend of Ethanol as well.

      The max effort combos are hitting 650 rwhp range. 670 is the highest I’ve seen. Gpis 8 second SBE car in fact. 670 on c85

    Nice 600 whp build without stroking or changing pistons pretty nice. Those MSD intakes are a nice middle ground, almost as good as Hi Ram without the hole in the hood, even though that looks really good, not great for a DD. Even done right your gonna get rain in there eventually.

    So excited to save up for heads and cam, this car (when it came in) is roughly what mine is now, 493hp on E. I am excited for that extra power, should be comparable numbers for me.
    Also curious as to know exactly where this guy is at, I am in Arkansas and live near the base that he would work at (saw the US Army tags).

      @@RaceProvenMotorsports I do not understand how it is mechanically possible to properly torque a rocker arm without the cam being on the base circle for each respective valve, but I would love for this topic to be touched on in a future video.

      @@billballin6948 It's not possible and they can loosen. Spring pressure will push the bolt up while you're torquing and add resistance (read: torque). 22 ft lbs with cam on base circle and 22 ft lbs with cam at max lift are not the same.

    Why did he say the underdrive pully spins the water pump and alternator "faster" then their designed to spin? That's not what they are for. They are meant to spin those accessories SLOWER. When modifying the engine for higher performance, usually you're going to increase the redline. When you do that, you don't want to spin the alternator and water pump faster than designed. That's when and why you use an underdrive pulley. Some say it saves hp, but it's probably so miniscule, that it doesn't really matter. I'm left wondering why this guy didn't know that. I would think he should know that being that he does engine builds for higher performance.

      Not 700. Nkt SBE stock cubes. 670 is the current record. 630-650 is very strong and about as much as any aggressive build can expect with all the right boxes checked.

      What does your common sense tell you if it's making 605 to the wheels minus 15-16 percent 725 is at the crankshaft if it made 725 horsepower to the wheels it would be 830+ at the crankshaft

      16 percent of 725 is 116 = 609 this car is running a alternator water pump and air conditioning 10 percent loss would be 72 l know of no street car running a water pump alternator and air conditioning only losing 10 percent if you use a 150 hit of nitrous your only getting 120-130 of it to the rear wheels the rest is consumed by the transmission driveshaft rear end and the weight of the wheels

      @@gloriamaletta8667 a bone stock lt1 automatic on the Dyno made 417 at the wheels. They are rated 455 flywheel in 2020. That’s less than 9% parasitic loss. Also that’s about 38 horsepower burned up in the driveline. When your engine is modified to make more power , your driveline does not consume more power in proportion to your engine. It’s already proven it takes 38 hp to get to the tire. So the same car making another 200 at the flywheel will show another 200 at the wheels.

      I'll bet that LT1 makes more than 455 horsepower my car dynoed 430 naturally aspirated to the wheels makes 520 at the crankshaft on a 150 hit of nitrous it made 555 to the wheels add 150+430=580 where did the 25 horsepower go what your not understanding is 15 percent of say 700 is going to be a higher number than say 500 horsepower so if this LT1 is making 417 to the wheels it's probably making 480-490 horsepower if it's a manual probably closer to 500 if a automatic

    It’s sad to see a company this big when they don’t understand how a underdrive pulley works. Reducing parasitic draw from the accessory drive will allow you to make more power, granted it’s not a lot but when you’re running NA every little bit helps. You guys have done PD cars before you know going bigger on the lower pulley spins the blower harder and running a smaller lower slows it down, it’s the same concept.

    That is not what underdrive pulleys do in a naturally aspirated application lmao what. Here they would be used to SLOW DOWN the accessories. How do you know nothing about those? It was big in the 2000s and still is today because they actually work. Look at 3V mustang owners really any car.

      It would only exist if they decided to use an oem pulley but they dont always buy crates with stock pulleys

      They aren’t needed NA. And they are a totally separate job. Bottom end isn’t touched when doing heads cam swap. So I don’t understand the point of staying na

      I’m in it right now. Most failures with heads cam is valvetrain related or guides or Seats. Rods and pistons are fine NA at 600 rwhp. Failures can happen with anything though

      Most people don’t use the right springs or lifters is the biggest issue. Valve float and failure
