- Mayans MC Season 3 premieres on FX on March 16th. Chris Hayner explains how the show's connection to Sons of Anarchy is going to get even stronger. After that Season 2 cliffhanger, though, it looks like the Sons will become a more direct enemy in the Mayans universe.

I actually would have LOVED if there was a prequel series to SOA . A show about how the club got started in Charming. How Jax’s dad met Gemma and the rest of the founding members. Most importantly, how the club got corrupted by guns and drugs.
Or it could be a flashback explaining how Montez ended up on the floor at the Vatos party. The head Vato killed him earlier in the day and casually let it slip to Bishop that they were having a party that night, Therefore setting up the Mayans why else would he have hid his grandmother in the outhouse

I wish they would do like a flashback featuring Jax and Alvarez. Seeing Charlie Hunam as Jax would be sweet. :)
Can you imagine if Mayans MC had come out while Sons of Anarchy was still going? We could've had crossover episodes. We couldve seen Clay conduct business with Bishop or Jax and EZ have a fight scene. Epic

For me if you watch it. you will see the VM patch that kills Montez. I think it's El Palo of VM is setting up the Mayans. at the party to see him and his grandmother got out of there before the shooting even happened. and the Mayans found Montez's body on the floor already dead. I can't wait until Season 3 premiers, I'm just hoping that their doing more than 10 episodes and this show deserves lots more seasons.
Fuck yes, I hope we see the whole old SOA crew. It would be awesome to see Chibs and Tig reek havoc on the Mayans.

There was talk s2 of a few of the mayans charters breaking off if San padre retaliated against VM because of the gun deal. I don't know why Mayans don't just move a charter into Tj and they get 90% of the profits . But I surpose it gives a more dramatic storyline ignoring the odveous.

I cant count how many times ive watched all seasons of sons. But havnt been able to get into mayans. I need to sit down and try again. I would love to see a new soa when jax and opie are kids and that era.
Your not alone. I tried watching season 1. After 5 episodes I was struggling to keep on watching. The Mayans somehow didn’t have that sort of chemistry or vibe similar to SOA. I loved Jax and the rest of the crew. Can’t wait for when Abel will grow up and follow his father’s footsteps
Much, Much rather watch and understand the Mayans MC Club than watching season 8 of SOA !
SOA. Was a better show. Better actors and so on. The only reason they made Mayans MC. Is because they realized they messed up when they ended sons of anarchy.

I really like Tig's character, because he was such a wild card and probably a psychopath. You never knew what might come out of him whether it was an instant decision to murder, coming close to crossing a line with Gemma, his attraction to that trans character played by Goggins, or the hi colonic he had with Juice. On any given day, at any given time, you never knew what he was going to do. Really good writing.

If you watch the last episode of season 2 of mayans Montez doesnt show up at all in the episode but he is credit in the credits so it was him

Really hoping it’s not Chibs or another big SOA character. That’s pretty low hanging fruit. Keep the show centered on the Mayans MC. You can’t just have 7 seasons of character building to toss it out.

It didn't look like a grandma's party, she an old lady so where are her old friends? everyone at the party was kinda young and how did that guy know to get her out at that time?? seems like he was working with the Mayans.

2:19-2:20 pause the video frame by frame you’ll notice the “Mayan” putting the bag over Montez head (SOA) you can see the patch has a red boarder stitch. If you play & pause quickly to the next cut seen it looks like Palo from the Vatos Malditos strangling Montez. Maybe Palo tells Montez that the Mayans are responsible for the dead Son. And if my memory serves me correct Montez mentions in one of the Season 3 episodes that it’s his nephew or cousin killed (It’s the scene where Montez and another Son are on the road making a stop) I could see Montez going behind the clubs back to avenge the dead Son if he indeed is blood related. It somehow goes left and Palo lures Montez in to kill him like in the trailer or Palo uses Montez to somehow start a war between the Sons & Mayans to somehow get back at the Mayan member he has a history wit or revenge for the shooting/killing at his grandmothers birthday party. I think Montez is gonna be a key character in season 3, but then again I’m also high as shit lol
I don’t believe it was chin a because the Mayans saw his face and in a later episode one of them asked “who was the dead reaper?” Or something like that.

@@patrickb1439 Are you incapable of doing the most basic of math. The character Abel was 7 when the show ended. This would mean if it was still airing that he'd be 13 now. In the US you can drive @16 meaning in another 3 years Abel could, it's now 2021, add 3 and you get 2024, not 2040.
I suppose if Gemma can be resurrected in the Rebel; Jax can come back as the Biker ghost of christmas past. He went into a semi's grille; don't think he'll be in a club anytime soon!

Tig character is too powerful to lose, he'll be there. Tigg is played by Kim Coates a really accomplished actor who plays villains you love to hate. The Mayan's producers, directors, writers would be crazy to off tig He is a real audience draw

Mayans for me is far superior to SOA, the show runners spent every season of SOA trying to get away with the most over the top stuff they could. For me the Mayans is much more character driven, they make you want to know about every character.
