"War makes murderers out of otherwise decent people" man... that hits hard
It is truly humbling how much history this one man personally witnessed. What a life.
"It takes courage to not be discouraged". What a line. Rip.
Truly grateful for this man. Ben Ferencz handled some of the worst, most heinous cases & it's never destroyed his outlook on humanity. The Netflix documentary about his life "Prosecuting Evil"is worth watching.
At a time like this, losing Mr. Ferencz is tragic even at the ripe old age of 103. The entire world, and America in particular, needs more like him.
I think the fact of making it to 103 makes this all the more fascinating
Jesus. This man was more quick witted and articulate at 103 than I was at 25.
Only 27 years old and never prosecuted a case before, and ends up chosen as the chief prosecutor for one of the most important trials in history.
My dad took me to Dachau when I was seventeen as he had been there after the war. I believed it affected him his whole life. Thank you sir for spending your life in remembrance of those who were killed. May you RIP
"I am naive? They are insane" I whole heartedly agree with this wonderful human being.
An honest and courageous man who understood how governments can stupefy ordinary people to support heinous crimes.
Why hasn't a movie been made of this man's story? R.I P. 🕊🙏🏼
This man's mental acuity and clarity of speech at the age of 97 was startling. Respects to his memory.
Rest in Peace, Ben. Thanks for helping to remove some evil from this world.
How he tried to humanize the war criminals, saying they weren't savages and just normal people who only did what they did because of the war - and the comparison to dropping the nuclear bomb. It's terrifying to know what ordinary people can do. And how progressive he was by saying "nothing new ever happened before" and we should embrace change....just wow. What a great man.
What an incredible most remarkable man. Hearing him has moved me.
what a remarkable individual. rest in peace
Sounds like a great man!! God rest his soul. And thank you for your service!! 🙏🏽
The world is lesser without you, Ben Ferencz.
That pause before he repeated “I’m still churning” really says more than words could.
