    I have the 2024 Type S and it’s amazing. The suspension is unreal, the instant torque at low rpm, the comfortable massaging seats and crazy stereo. Not to mention the SH-awd. The brakes can be a little grabby, the steering is as it should be on a luxury SUV, and the transmission behaves like any transmission in an SUV when driven normally. And you can own it past the warranty period without worry. I doubt people are taking their luxury SUV to the track.

      She doesn’t know what she’s talking about. These people are so loyal to BMW & Audi, it’s so crazy nothing can compare. Seems melodramatic to call the MDX underwhelming. Plus, they only test drive, they don’t stay in the cars for to long to make a true recommendation. I take these critic videos with a grain of salt usually

    The narrative does not bring out the obvious full benefits of Acura MDX Type S, Advance Package. I could sense that emphasis was on the cons. There should have been a balanced narration of the pros and cons of this vehicle. This is Acura flagship SUV, and is endowed with improved and advanced features and technology, that were down played

    I like the MDX design. Think its sporty and hadles well for everyday drive. The numbers don"t lie, more people are coming back to the Acura brand since 2021.

    Is there a day and night difference between the type S and non-type S? I hate the suspension of my advance model. It needs some serious tuning. Riding thru the dips and highs are worst. I like the styling of the mdx compare to other luxury brand out there. I will trade-in this car pretty soon and get a type S.

    @CarGurus at least the MDX is way better than the jokes of the luxury midsize segment: the Lexus RX and the Lexus tx

    • @preoksaha4504
      @preoksaha4504 Před 8 měsíci +1

      I like the MDX more, but the RX looks pretty damn good. I dunno what they did with the TX 💀

    • @naveenthemachine
      @naveenthemachine Před 8 měsíci +3

      @@preoksaha4504 the tx is a mess tbh. Even the RX. Both of them look ugly vs the Acura. The MDX has a nicer interior than both of them. The MDX has more features, better performance much better driving dynamics better engine transmission sh awd rides better the list goes on
      There’s nothing the RX or tx do better than the MDX yet they’re more expensive
      Not to mention the MDX doesn’t constantly remind you that you’re just driving a fancy pilot. Because the architecture and platform are different. Whereas the TNGA K platform that underpins the RX and TX also underpins the Camry and rav4, two sub $30k cars. So even at 70-80k you’ll be constantly reminded that the exact same platform of the RX tx are used in those cheap Toyotas

    • @vangtk10
      @vangtk10 Před 8 měsíci +4

      Agreed. Lexus messed up only offering a wimpy 4 cylinder motor on the RX. The TX is fugly.
      The MDX is the clear choice here.

      @@NileshR12the RDX won’t have a Type S variant until it gets a full redesign. The RDX was out before they started doing Type S again and the engine won’t fit into the current RDX. You can even visually see how much shorter the RDX hood is compared to the Acura models that have Type S variants. They are going to make one in the future just once it gets the redesign.

      Depends where you live, these are all over LA. Also her review seems a bit off. Everyone else talks about how well the MDX handles with the SH-AWD and that the engine is great and she straight up said a CVT is better which is complete BS. A V6 with 355hp is worse than a CVT? She is clearly off because no true luxury car buyer would EVER want a CVT.

      @AFCompany Last year I got the MDX for the mrs. At first she wanted something smaller, like the Toyota Venza or the RDX because she has been in bigger size SUVs and they seem too imposing for her and difficult to maneuver especially since we live in a city. I don't like the rear of the RDX. We test drove the MDX and she fell in love. She said she felt Iike she was driving a sedan. She was sold. It literally cost me $20,000 more buying the MDX over the RDX just because I hated those RDX taillights. Anyway, this reviewer clearly has a bias. We have had no issues with ours so far and that touch pad that most people dislike we actually find it easy to use, and frankly functionally safer for while driving versus reaching forward to swipe the screen. Acura should have also made it a touchscreen for business purposes. They are losing a whole lot of sales by not doing so, but for me I would still be using the touchpad 80% of the time. ..it is just ergonomically more natural.
