    Thank You 🙏 for this Honest Review & Comparison. I currently have the Segway x260 & was trying to talk myself into getting the Talaria & giving the Segway to my wife so we can ride together. You definitely are helping me talk 🗣 myself into getting this beautiful Talaria Sting 🐝. 🍻 👊 🇺🇸

      I started with a x260 as well!!! The sting is definitely a step towards a more serious bike 😁 I ended up buying my wife a surron as it's better suited for smaller frames 😂

    RST FORK USERS: Quick little side note. I got my RST fork to work great! its definitely a better option than the socket but I had a X fusion dual crown where the stanchions are scrapped up so i took the spring out which happened to be the FIRM xfusion RV1 200 mm blue spring and replaced it with the stock RST spring that was much smaller and much softer! which made the RST forks feel amazing after i adding fork oil! Firm 200mm spring and fork oil with change the fork a 1000x save money on buying the fork!

    After riding and letting your talaria rest do you ever get gear box oil coming out from the open end of the grey breathe tube connected to the gearbox . Because ive only had my bike for a little and after riding and letting it sit. Its a constant very slow leak from the top of the tube? Have any idea if this is a problem or just residual oil in the line or maybe the gearbox was overfilled?

    • @jglaine
      @jglaine  Před 2 lety +1

      i did 100% after the first ride. It went away after this.It's definitely overfilled ! but i didn't get the issue after the first ride

  • @rwolfcastle
    @rwolfcastle Před 2 lety +4

    Thanks for the quick comparison. Wonder if the increased noise on the Talaria is from chain stretching as it breaks in. Hopefully the gearbox isn't a future weak point.
    Why did you send your battery and controller back? Issues or modding?
    My Talaria is supposed to come in late March. I'm beyond excited.

    • @jglaine
      @jglaine  Před 2 lety +2

      Indeed I Need to service the drive train now. Will report if it end up improving the noise, but it's still pretty quiet overall.

      I paid $3,999 before tax. Shipping was $650. All said and done it was $4,600. Shipping from Canada to the US was the killer, but you have to pay to play 😎

    There's quite a few people selling these talarias now... I highly recommend no one order their talaria from a specific Canadian dealer. You'll never get the bike they sell you or by the date they sell you... they'll instead push the rst bike on you every single month when they tell you your bike isn't coming but you gotta wait another month and you can have a rst bike. Dirty business ethics. Scummy people. Do not buy from them. I'll make the emails public soon enough. As I'm sure others are considering doing the same.

    • @jglaine
      @jglaine  Před 2 lety +1

      i haven't rode a full ride yet from full to empty so can't comment. In the video i think i mention the battery compared to surron, i'd say about 10% more range. Top speed doesn't matter to me so can't comment, especially since i use a 58 that's way to short. We can't get 52's here yet, will report when i get proper gearing on

    Is the Surron a 2022 or 2021 model? After you changed back to the belt on the Surron how does the sound compare to the Talaria now? Did you notice a decrease in noise after you change the oil in the talaria? Thank you.

    • @jglaine
      @jglaine  Před 2 lety

      yes definitely quiter after i changed the oil. The surron was a 22 model. The chain was noticeably louder, i didn't like it..but i also used the first version of the luna kit which i'm told is noisier than their v2

    • @jglaine
      @jglaine  Před 2 lety

      the next big thing will come and riders will swap brands and technology... but in one specific usage, that's single trails, ths thing is really fast, and hard to beat as you can't utilize more power , and certainly not extra weight.. In saying that if they shove another 10kg of this bike it would be a weapon
