I have heard some of the old-timers says centipede will always win out. I have also seen folks that want a centipede yard will plant bermuda along with centipede for a fast start lawn understanding that the centipede will win out over the years. I know in my yard about 5 years ago was probably a 50-50 split and now it is an 70-30 split for centipede. Good subject, thanks.

If you wanted to remove it just verticut the property line of the yard because Bermuda uses rhizomes and runners.
That's St Augistine grass on the left. I have Centipede, St Augistine, and Bermuda, too. My least favorite is Bermuda, especially wild Bermuda.
I mean the centipede lawn is actually in better shape imo
Makes sense because Bermuda requires more maintenance.
