About Me:
My name is Rebekah Heishman. I am an overcomer of over 10 autoimmune diseases, chronic Lyme disease, and a chronic CDiff infection that almost took my life.

I agree, I kind of like this way to think, "You are no longer a (sinner) in Christ Jesus so don't do the things a (sinner) would do." Insert into the brackets ( ) any sin. This is a more positive way instead of accusing yourself, or letting Satan, or a preacher beat you down with your sins of the past. We will always have to struggle with the flesh against the spirit until we pass on in this life, but we don't need to beat ourselves into a feeling of hopelessness or negativity. You are a new person in Christ, act like you are! and if you slip up just get back on the horse and keep going.

It's all true. We create our reality in our heads. Whatever we put in there will eventually come out. When things are at their worst, when we don't know if we will survive, Jesus will give us his hand. I think he told you: you are not needed in Heaven yet, you have a mission to fulfill here on Earth. Because that's what you do, Rebekah! You heal people. You tell us your story, which is very important to us, you give us advice and support. When I was lying in the hospital and the doctor was talking about another surgery, I asked only one thing: will I survive it all? And she replied that she didn't know. Because it was getting worse day by day. And then I really thought that God had abandoned me. And while under anesthesia, I dreamed of the road to hell. But I survived. It's a year later, I'm a carnivore, I'm happy to be alive. I believe that God is with me.

Great tips. I’ve had a pretty rough year already with a car accident that totaled my car while still paying off the loan, a serious foot injury that required 2 weeks of medical leave , and now dealing with low thyroid , low hormones , and anemia after a recent physical. Need a new mindset. I’m not a victim and all of this is treatable.

I love this. And also want to say that I believe that surrender is a practice. A daily practice. Surrender isn’t something we do once, but it’s a Truth we remember after we forget, and then put back into practice…again and again and again and again, for the rest of our lives. Those old neural pathways need new grooves to follow, and retraining and rewiring can take time, support, care, community, courage… Surrender, Trust and Faith are an active daily practice, an act of Love. And that’s how we change those old neural pathways, and strengthen our securely attached trusting relationship with God.

You are incorrect. I no longer believe it’s a thinking disorder. It’s a mood disorder. Your mood determined your thinking. After I learned, vitamin D deficiency causes depressive symptoms. I determine my severe depression, not wanting to live, is possibly a vitamin D deficiency specifically because I work overnight and spend less than one hour a day in the sun. After having my vitamin D checked, I absolutely have a vitamin D deficiency. I began experiencing severe depression at 15. at that same time, I was inside of a juvenile facility and we rarely ever went outside. Every time I walked where I had to go I was happy confident optimistic. When I got a car, I went back to severe depression like clockwork. I thought it’s because I have low self-esteem. no matter what I told myself I was depressed and my brain would produce the most negative memories reminding me of every failure and rejection it could conjure up. In 2018 I drove for Amazon package delivery. I would spend 10 hours a day seven days a week outside in the freezing cold delivering packages once again I was as happy as could be positive optimistic but never out of touch with reality or my past. The same thoughts that I believe were destroying me made me laugh as long as I got enough sunlight. I still have low self-esteem areas because I am in touch with reality and understand my limitations. However, I believe if I can get my vitamin D up, I will go back to being happy, optimistic and laughing at the things in life that I failed Carrie. I am not a person that believes in brain power anymore. You cannot change your life with the way you think. I do believe depression causes negative thoughts not the other way around.

Jesus wants a relationship! He is the Healer. You can find the truth in the Word of God. A non denominational church may also be great! 💖(can be hard to find- would look into churches that still believe in divine healing and baptism of the Holy Spirit).
Christ didn't do anything. You did it yourself.
