- Shinichi Morohoshi is Tokyo's self-made Lamborghini king, a man who built an empire on the back of repeated tragedies. His heavily customized supercars capture the over-the-top style of Kabukichō, winning him fans and detractors worldwide.
But a prison sentence, a horrible accident, and bankruptcy nearly cost him everything. VICE visits Morohoshi’s Fighting Star garage to see how he rose to fame by consistently going against the grain.

@Mel Gibbson The whole point of Lamborghini's is to be flashy, and these aren't priceless classics, they make 10s of thousands every year. I would rather have this than it sit in a garage for the next 60 years.

@Mel Gibbson at least he enjoyed doing it and he likes the way it looks that’s what counts.

This is some of the best advice i have had in years
"I made so much money in my 20s that suddenly the cops showed up at my place and I lost all my money and friends" is a good way of saying "I was a drug dealer, one of the first in the Japan of the 80s, and then I got caught" (Note: in the 80s Japan basically had no real anti-drug laws outside of the perimeter of opium that was banned from Chinese and South-asian import since the early '900. So basically some smart kids started smuggling marijuana in from Australia and made a fortune before organized crime took over that business).
If someone said that car is an ricer, well that ain't ordinary rice dude, that's an fried rice with Wagyu rendang topping on it.
Whoa?! Wagyu rendang? I would never think i'd hear that 2 words in a sentence
Wagyu rendang umm... Sounds delicious but some will say u waste the meat at the same time..
Blue fin tuna sauce on the wagyu, with a glass of cambodian breast milk
If you cook it like Gordon Ramsay, wagyu rendang is good. Just make sure you cook the meat and paste separately. People mix it since it was originally used buffalo meat which are so stringy and rubbery unless cooked for hours like how they made rendang
Lol

This guy is a legend ... he makes me want move to Japan
Believe it or not this is a story I've been reading when I got the notification for this video:
A guy in a Lamborghini who broke down on a desolate highway. This dude with an old geo metro comes buzzing up, the driver was a mechanic. He takes a look at the Lamborghini engine and turns a screw a half-turn, the engine starts right up. Lamborghini driver says thanks how much do I owe you? Mechanic replies, “$100”, Lamborghini driver yells, “I’m not paying that much for you to barely turn a screw!’, mechanic answers, “no, I turned the screw for free. You owe me $100 for knowing what screw to turn.”
i have only been to 1 mechanic for close to 20 years now
because he is honest
I never trust mechanics and always do the work myself. And even then, ive been known to scam myself time to time.
@@pluto8404 alright that last part made spit out my water. "A persons true enemy is oneself"
Wtf ??? 2 things you got right in your story 1.Few rotten apples in the mechanic domain 2. Mechanics usually drives POS cars. But cars like a lamborghini cannot be fixed by half a turn of a single screw. Maybe in the carburetor days tho..
That fix cost the lambo driver a lot more than $100, getting work done on a supercar by a mechanic who isn't affiliated with the brand is gonna lower the resale value substantially.
