Thank you for the back ground on the wax I had know idea about that. I really enjoyed your video. I’m new and from Shreveport Louisiana so hi y’all.
I just adore your informative videos.
Hi Xara! Thanks so much!
Thank you for the complete and thorough tutorial...along with the history! Fascinating! Plan to give the RH treatment to a round oak coffee table that appears “orangey”...blech! If it turns out even half as good as your samples, I might just have to do some 🤸♀️🤸♀️🤸♀️ ...lol
Shared all over Pinterest, so really hoping for a chance to try out your products with the giveaway😊 Thank you so kindly and big hugs from Illinois for the lovely tutorial! With a smile~ Gloria
#replay ... Dang got here on Tuesday. Day late, dollar short! Watching from Southaven, MS
One thing I love about redoing furniture is that I like to look at ways I can change things up in the future. So this is kind of perfect for me. I could go with a nice medium/dark stain with clear wax, then come back later when I'm bored and add the cerusing wax to change the look without a ton of work or going broke. My husband and my hairstyle are the only things I keep for 30 years. lol!
You should definitely give this a try!
@@amyhowardathome Oh, it's happening! I just bought three massive cabinets and this will be their treatment!
@@vociferonheraldofthewinter2284 Yay! Love it, and so excited to see how they will turn out!
Hey from Southern California. I adore your info stories.
Hi Elle! Thanks so much!
I really enjoy listening to this tutorial with the history background. I find this very interesting. Hope you consider providing more tutorials like this or a live seminar session in person at your store or in CZcams. This looks great!
Thank you so much for your support!
What time are your Friday videos? I'd love to be in your give aways.
I always thought the Restoration Hardware finish was more gray.....guess I should have waited until the end before commenting!
This looks so pretty! I just have a question my kitchen cabinets are called Brandywine they’re not a dark red but they’re a medium brownish red wood will this cerousing wax look any good over top of that or would you stick to doing this finish on more of a walnut colour base. Also would this hold up on varnished kitchen cabinets? If you wanted to paint over this years down the road could you just prime and paint or would you have to remove this cerousing wax?

So I have Broyhill Fontana dining room furniture from the 90s. Can't decide how to change it or if I should sell it. It has that glaze-type finish already. Did you say it would need a matte paint and then sealed first? Not sure what I am going to do. I really want a new style. It doesn't fit the style of this house, but I do believe you can really chsnge the character of some pieces by doing this techniques. I was just introduced to your channel by looking up "paint ffaux shagreen". I love RH Baby and Child, by the way. I'm a 65-year-old baby.
I would love to try cerusing wax on my dining room table and chairs…does the furniture require sanding prior to using the wax…the furniture has more of a matte/simi gloss finish. Thanks so much!!!
I just got my cerusing wax in thank you for the fast shipping. I have one question though. I’ll be using it on a dining table to get this fabulous RH look and just want to know if I can use a liquid top coat over the wax for added durability? Thanks in advance
Cerusing wax is a final step. Because of the nature of the wax, another product will not adhere on top of it. Thanks!
Why would you use the cerusing wax versus a regular white wax?
Do you have retailers in Canada? Awesome videos.
Hi Kim! We don't have a retail location there, but we do have a great many retailers who sell our products. Check out our store locator online here: www.amyhowardhome.com/pages/store-locator

Velvet from Kyle.
So do you seal the already stained piece BEFORE using the new gel stain or AFTER applying the new gel stain before any further treatment (ie, cerusing wax)?

Why don't you ever do a finish on a piece of furniture??
We just premiered one on our channel! Doing a whole piece would take days but we are working on showing you more of that. :) Thanks for watching!
@@amyhowardathome I guess it would have to be done over a time, or edited tutorial...
