Hi sweet friends!!! Today I'm sharing 4 techniques for achieving the aged, antique vessel effect. Instead of the high priced RH, Pottery Barn vessels, we're make inexpensive dupes with thrifted, dollar tree and old decor pieces!!! These faux antiques are easy and so much fun to create.

It's so hard to pick a favorite...they all looked at least as good as the original. The plate dupe, I thought, was better than the original, ditto the "cement" bowl. Thank you so much for sharing these!

I love what you did. I never knew it was so simple to create decorative pieces. I purchased my 1st home and haven't decorated because everything is SOOOOO expensive that I like, so I was doing it a piece at a time. You hand showed me I can do it myself and get the look at a fraction on the price!!! I'm definently trying this. I love what you did!
The pieces that you are recreating are so much prettier than the pieces that that you call high-end I think yours are high-end you do beautiful I could never agree 8 that it's just wonderful watching someone else do it congratulations you have a real talent open your own shop

I love all of the different types of designs you did. I love the first one too, I think the 2 vases look pretty close as well.
It looks like you had a lot of fun coming up with these ideas. I think transforming pieces into your own is a great way to save money but show your talent for what you want into your own decor.

Beautiful pottery! Thank you for sharing the word of God and praying for us. My twin sister is having hip replacement surgery on the 20th of July. Would you keep her in prayer and anyone else that would pray for her surgery to go as planned and relieve her pain. This is her 2nd hip surgery....I myself have had both of mine replaced a few years ago. Thank you and God bless you!

I’ve done the painting aged look on vases (love doing it too!) but I thought the papier-mâché idea was absolute genius! I’m wanting to put a double ridged row around a vase (was going to try either glue or string) but I think what you’ve done will work much better. Thank you for sharing your great idea 😊🇬🇧
I absolutely love these my only positive criticism would be to remove the sticker from the bottom of the bowl and to put the spackle on the bottom too.

This video came along today just in time. I have so many decor pieces I can change using this technique. I have those chalk paint colors and baking soda so definitely going to try this. Thank you for the inspiration but especially for the verse and invitation for prayer request. My granddaughter is 2 1/2 and in a dangerous situation that has been reported. I am just sick with worry. I ask for her safety and for me to keep my mind stayed on the Lord. Also, my broken marriage of 20 years. I’m so weary. Than you and may the Lord continue to use you as you encourage others❤

Wow great crafting techniques Amy. I like them all but do like the concrete effect on the last bowl. I really liked the first vase as well. I can't find anywhere to buy chalk paint where I live in the UK, perhaps Amazon sell it. I have stippled ordinary white paint onto containers before I decoupage them and like that effect. Although you posted this one year ago, I just saw it while searching for “aged vessels”. I’m working on my first as a Christmas gift to my daughter and family, large floor vase. So far the “pink stuff is nearly dried. I’d like to go for a light/dirty type look and add large olive stems🤭 Thank you for your great tutorials😉🥰
