- We had recently started our road trip through Costa Rica. Today we were about to go and visit one of the most beautiful National Parks in the country, Manuel Antonio. It has been ranked as the top 12 best national parks in the world by forbes magazine. We walked through the jungle and saw an incredible creation!
In the coming videos we will also be going to the famous places of La Fortuna, Arenal Volcano and lake, Playa Hermosa, Jaco, Monte Verde Cloud forest, and also perhaps Tamarindo, Tortuguero and Santa Teresa and Puerto Viejo. We might also go to the Rio Celeste Waterfall, Guanacaste waterfall. La Paz Waterfall, Bajos Del Toro Waterfall and more. Stay tuned for more videos! Costa Rica vs Mexico is going to be this video series since I had spent over a year traveling around in Mexico and staying in really famous places not only in the Yucatan Peninsula but also the west side and state of Oaxaca. I will perhaps go back to Mexico after my trip here to Puerto Escondido or somewhere else. You can also see my other videos from Mexico with more famous destinations on my channel.

The bed at the Cadillac rock hotel received 4 out of 5 stars. Tremendous bounce, but a bit loud noise from the springs in the mattress.

I was there in 1991 and 2008. It was so premature in 1991. Went to OMG so different now. Taken through jungle by a local. There was nothing there but jungle. No tickets no lines. So glad I was there before it became touristy but still recommend
It was Primitive not premature lol we were careful but you did not have to worry about crime. In 2008 owners of one place we stayed with an infinite pool said he had changed a lot. My husbands Amx was stolen in grocery store

The Pacific side did not disappoint. The water was beautiful and I loved the animals and flowers. I’m looking forward to seeing the Caribbean side now. Hopefully you’ll find a hotel with a pool there and fix my Poool Trick addiction.

Love your videos William! I've been to many of the locations you share. Whenever in Costa Rica you do have to make Manuel Antonio part of your destination. We also didn't see the monkeys till the last bit by the beach and they are mischievous!! And the sloths we saw in town.
When you drive north to Jaco, along the way there's a wide bridge where you can see huge crocodile or alligators, I don't remember which... But they're huge!!! So cool.
Jaco is a trippy surf town and I remember funny stuff happens in the evening. You'll know what I mean when you're there. I'm curious what it's like today! I look forward to that video.

Many things to do around Arenal Volcano - A Must Do is Tabacon Hot Springs. I've been there on a day pass and it is still one of my Favorite Things i've done in all my travels. Funny I've been to many of the places You have been to. So I really enjoy re-living my experiences through your video's. Keep up the good work !

I too have visited Manuel Antonio but it was free then IIRC or perhaps some small insignificant charge that I don't remember. It was very uncrowded and we had a lovely beach to ourselves. I was a bit surprised you guys didn't stop at El Avion restaurant with it's very own unique history. Believe it or not but the second best salmon I've eaten was there, the best was in Alaska. Thanks for sharing once again.

I’ve also heard from some American expats that this has risen the past several years in Costa Rica that it’s now comparable to some expensive cities in the US. The guys in this video pay $115us a night for a crummy hotel room attests to that.

Those monkeys sometimes steal bags or small backpacks off the beach looking for food. They can also be quite vicious. But they look so darn cute.

Love Costa Rica! If you want an amazing hike and waterfall, head to Montazuma. Take the ferry from Puntaranas, not far from where you are now, you won't regret it

Nice real jungle there. Also good to see you know how to handle big ocean waves. You dive 'under' them. A lot of Europeans don't know that, lol. You know it's also interesting seeing you and your Danish friends. Like the one guy has darker hair than you, but much whiter skin, doesn't look like he tans. You have lighter hair, but you can tan. Strange the variety we all have.

Great video my friend. I was there too in 2015. Loved the place. What I regret though is that I didnt do the real adventure, Parque Nacional Corcovado. Go there if you can!

Enjoyed this video a lot. I highly recommend La Paz Waterfall and gardens if you get a chance. Nicola peninsula is also interesting but a much drier area and less green. You three would probably enjoy Mal Pais but it is a rough road getting down there.

Costa Rica has lovely nature, but has become very touristy since it's the only country in Central America that is relatively safe. Prices were ok there until about 10 years ago, but it's no longer a place for backpackers on a budget.
Yeah that is what I heard also. They pushed up the prices a lot when the tourists came
@@mikerivas9091 Not many travelers are spending $1500 a month! If they did they won't be traveling for long. Some people live very simply in Nicaragua spending less than $50 a month for a small self contained place. Food is about $25-50/month as well. If only the government there was more sane. It would be the #1 place in Latin America, especially with cheap flights from the US.
@@swilhelm3180 most nicaraguans live on $200 a month so if they can do it you can do it :)
However, to get residency as an expat you need much more than $200 because of the laws. You need monthly stable income of at least $800 per month. Being that most Americans make much more than this it is very attainable to enjoy a life in Nicaragua of the top 10%!!
@@mikerivas9091 What if you show lots of cash assets? My money is in the stock market, not my bank account. If you can show years of ample net worth would that qualify for residency? Otherwise one needs to set up an annuity and then send most of the money back as soon as it comes in as you wouldn't need it. Not difficult but more of a hassle. Stock investing is so good as a citizen of most any country except the US (which taxes worldwide income) as long as you focus on capital gains. We're allowed up to about $10,000 before we are taxed so you could take up to $10,000 in dividends and interest. But what is really nice is if you're not getting any income so you don't even have to think about filing a return. Just focus on capital gains. But your dividend stock just before the ex-divided date and sell it right after it corrects its usual dip on that day.
@@swilhelm3180 if you apply for investor residency you just need to proof $30,000 worth of assets in the country. Many people buy real assets like land/house so that would qualify as an investment so as long it's value is at least 30K...

Costa Rica looking lovely (but very expensive). Any chance of visiting Guatemala, El Salvador or Honduras? These countries intrigue me, especially Guatemala. Guatemala looks like a hidden gem, real cheap to travel, lots of culture and very beautiful.

Hello thanks for the advice. Unfortunately I think most people have subscribed to see travel destinations. More so from Mexico since I noticed a drop in the views when I left Mexico. If I post fitness all of sudden I think people might not want to watch it. If I started another channel I would definately do it since it's osmething that I would actually want to do :)

Nice video William. Great editing as usual (really liked the previous Nauyaka falls video also). Costa Rica looks like a cool place to visit. Perhaps less visitors than Mexico and so lower CZcams video views. May be easier or faster to get to your 100k subscribers if you focus on countries with highest numbers of visitors. Perhaps a trade off with cost of travelling in those places.
