- Hey everyone back with more Scrap Mechanic Survival! Today we are building a new trailer for the transport truck that can be used for transporting liquids! The main thing is to transport chemicals from the pond as we need lots of it to make concrete for base building!

Make a dock at the pond, back your trailer up then drop the pumps farther down, the dock will be level so you won’t need wheel chalks
Although you could have a little three-blocks-high wall around the edge
you cold also just have a lil u shaped wall that he backs into on the edge of the pond
but the problem is he needs to put supports under the dock and while he is doing that he will also get damage from the pond because of acids
@@jellylightningii5959 thats y he should just build a short wall on the edge of the pond
@@jellylightningii5959 But if he anchors it in the ground it would be fine.
He ccould simply weld it to a block in the ground and have pre-built support pillard
kAN is like the Mumbo Jumbo of Scrap Mechanic
he is sort of mumbo jumbo and grian put together
@@trebor_the_protogentvods YOUR GODDAMN RIGHT
You are so right
@@trebor_the_protogentvods I think Moonbo is the Grian of scrap Mechanic

If you build a bridge over the pond, then when you add a sensor, you could push a part right behind you with a piston off, and thus pump on a flat service.
wow smart
Just have a lip on the edge of the pond, no piston needed
i was going to say pretty much the same thing
that or a lip or extend a flat part of terrain out over the chem spill or maybe something akin to an oil derrick (ie something like deepwater horizon without the incident that happened)
Like a little pier, with a lip around the edge to stop the trailer sliding into the chemicals.
suggestion: build a dock or something at the chemical pond that is flat so the tanker wont slip
That would be a great idea! Or something like wheel chucks built right in the pond, just back up into them and the truck/trailer will be held in place...
Agree, I think it's worth it to build a simple dock with a wheel stopper at the end of it
@@RobiBue yeah that was my idea, just build wheel chocks at the edge of the pool. small and simple
This is exactly what we were all thinking lol either a dock chocks or build a chute that is in the pond that stops the wheels
@@rebelredRC in his latest video he says he built a dock but he didnt show it
I work at a chemical plant, that looks like a perfectly sized tanker.
You could also build a pier to park the tanker on when you’re getting the chemicals.
I'm actually surprised you have the time to watch
@@aaden6390 yea
Here is my comment on your tanker trailer. Tanker trailers come in Links of 53 feet and 48 ft and 36 ft for doubles or triples. As far as your trailer goes it looks like it's the right length and nearly the right size diameter as they come in all sorts of different diameters for tanker trailer. What is making yours look visually off is the fact that you are trailer tires are a bit far forward. In real life the assembly the rear tires are hooked to can slide forward or backward to adjust the weight that is distributed across the tires. Your trailer looks fine it just looks like the tires are slid into the forward position which is what you would need to back into the water just my opinion
I was thinking it could be a bit longer, as chemical tankers in real life are really skinny, so he should have it be more proportionate.
This is a very informative comment. Lol
A true legend. Always love when someone from an industry locks on to a tidbit or comment of a gamer then actually makes an awesome comment on the topic. Comments like these are what make comment sections awsome
I don't speak nerd
But thank you for sharing information
Shut up nerd
Hey Kan! I saw how Scrapman used more than one craftbot, thought this might help with the amount of time you need to wait.
Computer Boy many you tubers are doing this
@@RowDyer it would be simular to the mc ae crafting with multiple crafting cores
It’s not copying because I did the same and as long as it doesn’t look the same it’s fine
It’s common sense. I have 12 in my world. Most maxed out. So how the hell is it copying?
I love how he makes a survival game look like a luxurious truck building game
Honestly at this point (idc if this comment is 2 years old) I am just gonna copy him, it's genius to just have multiple trailers for different things
@@Z0nnestraal not really genius, it looks cool but it's unpractical as hell
@@Emiruuu Well, once you make an easy switch system, it really isn't, you don't spend as many materials on vehicles or anything, and this may be better in the long run, but I am not an expert by any means
i love when you build trailers!
for one episode, go on scrap man's world and do his chores and he goes on your world and does stuff, scrap mechanic world swap!
Just make sure you back up the world first
Elite Entity they always do before and after each episode
This somehow makes me wanna see someone somehow make a deathswap game in SC
Just to let you know, your profile picture is a salute that was used by the Communist Party of Germany's Roter Frontkämpferbund
Where did you get this idea, it sounds horrible
Hi, the proper term for the stands on the trailer is landing gear. The pin is called kingpin and the hitch on the truck 5th wheel hitch btw
Honestly, using that term like that is confusing for me (I'm used to landing gear referring to landing legs of a space lander like the lunar lander or the gear on a plane)
Last week you helped me figure out what was wrong with my mining setup, this week it seems you're helping me with my Tanker. Perfect timing.
"now thats the hieght we need to be at" *after modifying trailer twice*
This is definelty my favourite type of project to watch!
Being a trucker for a living I'd say you got that tanker trailer dimensions pretty spot on, maybe 3-5 blocks less on the length and you just need to add a curve to the front & back of the trailer(no more than 3 blocks) & I'd say that is perfect. Also the feet you use to hold up the trailer are called landing gear. If you ever need add info on big rigs your doing in scrap mechanic you can hit me up on Twitter at Madogcotk. Awesome episode, been loving all the big rig stuff you've been doing!
Hey kAN! I just wanted to say that I love your content❤ keep it up!
Build yourself a ‘loading dock’ with integrated stops for the trailer’s rear wheels.
Could u make a bigger boat that can go on land and explore with it
Like a boat-car
No
It's called an amphibious vehicle
Look at a Higgins boat. It was designed to get on land
Yes a amphibious car
How about fill the whole trailer with chest and then just put pumps at end so it would be like 10 chest of chemical
well I would agree but the storage vs fill time would be in a bad ratio but it would be similar to what water tankers do when they fill up from a lake or river (well they back up into the liquid)
I was thinking this, I know he's going for a truck and trailer theme but this just seems like a massive waste of metal
Are vacuum pipe T's even a thing?
NeoPhobik Gamer I don’t know, hopefully they are
@@neophobikgamer363 they aren't badly
Cover the pond with a large platform just below the surface
See if the plants have enough friction to stop things from sliding
There's a axle ratio of 3.21, so the front wheels to the rear wheels of the truck times 3, thats the distance from your truck rear wheels to the trailer wheels
well that is not always the case but a good rule of thumb and the tanker feels a bit short but it's kan's choice in redesigning it
KAN! Build a flat platform on the chemical pond to back up on, kinda like a pier
Floor looks fantastic!
Kan, I think you saw (maybe not) the video when Scrap man made an indestructible box from Warehouse keys.
You could make a Warehouse keys tank and see if it can resist bosses and red tapebots as well
i think the splash damage might damage all the logic and stuff inside the indestructibe tank unless i’m wrong
Yep... I believe the explosion eill destroy everything insides but not the garage keys
Here's an idea for you or chemical trailer and getting the chemicals. My suggestion is you build a short dock out into the chemical pond to back your trailer onto to hopefully stop your sliding. Then just deploy off the end of the dock and pull back out
like so Kan can see
Couple of truck ideas...
1.) For the trailer lock, directly under the hitch location place a low level sensor that just reaches far enough to detect a trailer hitch. Connect it to an AND block, Connect that to the piston that locks the trailer in place. Add a switch connected to the seat and the AND block.
Turn on the switch, and back up to the trailer. When the trailer is in place it will automatically lock.
Turn off the switch to unlock the trailer and drive away.
2.) For the trailer stands, place a 1-block sensor directly behind the hitch. When the hitch lock closes it will detect the block and raise the trailer stands. When the truck releases the trailer (or you move it with the build stand) the stands will lower automatically.
With those two changes, you can hook up to a trailer and immediately drive away without ever leaving the drivers seat. You can also unhook and drive away... so when you build a truck yard for all your trailers, you could rearrange all the trailers as much as you want while never leaving the seat. (though using the build stand is still faster and easier.)
I have liked some comments about docks to back up on & adding my own, you need a dock. That pump module is cool & the trailler is awesome, keep it up.
It should take 200 seconds to completely fill, or 3 hours 20 minutes in game time.
The tanker looks perfect the other trailers look to short
looks great KAN!
Nice design and very efficient!
when I loaded this video, I immediately got an ad for the one and only... *Raid Shadow Legends!*
Is the drone battle vid comeing out? I haven't watched it yet causes I want to see it from your perspective
You can make a cycle system on your crafting bot. Making it automatically feed the in and out. And having it have a lot larger capacity.
I love seeing kan playing scrap mechanic. He is a marvelous ingenior.
Wow I never knew 1 minute could be such a difference in me being first to comment

Search Tom Scott. He has a video explaining the caching servers and why this happens.
Nice trailer
nice rig kan. those pumps are really heavy.think you would benefit from making 3 rows of 3 chests inside.. maybe more.
then have pipe outlets you attach pumps to when you get to destintion.
this way it will look like extending pipes and chests stay inside.
could even make it with 2 seperate " chambers " to haul both water and chemicals.
i found if making 2 rows of chests and in middle have them connected with a single pipe by chest top outlets, then it suck in water for an extra non existing pump.
like if both sides have 3 pumps on them the one side pump 3 water pr second and other one pump 4.
i really hope they add a device to fit on pipes and chests like the chute we deliver fruit tru at packing stations.
this way we can transfer stuff without taking things apart when pump is aligned.
also a pipe section you can turn on/off with a switch would be great.
this way we can deliver materials to the right chest in the piping system after fabricating or refining.
2 small parts with great potentiale.
Day 5 of asking people how there day is going
Great
like mario, fun
Good
Mine is great! How is yours going?
Good
kAN making awesome vids! i try to make awesome vids too :D
you've made this comment over and over again stop self promoting
I wish you luck and i will subscribe you on my every single account. Question to you, Can i Play with you on vids?
Love the trailer
i like it as is it looks realistic in size. keep up the good work!
These videos are so fun to watch! I get so many ideas from these videos. If i feel down i watch your videos to distract my self from it. Thanks for the content kan! ❤️
Thats so cool
You could try building a bridge like thing going into the chemical pond a block or so over its surface. You would then back the truck onto it, align it with the edge and get to harvesting
OoO Looks gewd
I think it looks good!
Build a Pier/dock for the chemical lake so your truck can back in on it and remain level. It will stop the sliding and if not you can add automatic wheel chucks to the pier that activates with sensors once you are parked properly.
Amazing video!!!! Keep Up the good work!
I think the tank looks perfect Kan
Niiiiccee!!!! This is what I like too see....
Keep up the great work
Wow that's good
DIS IS COOOOOOL MAN GG
Flexible Vacuum Tube would be real cool, so you could build a Vacuum Pump mechanism to deploy into the Water/Chemicals but have a ton of Chests linked together deeper in the trailer for storage (would also cut down the weight strain on the mechanism because chests are heavy)
That's perfect
Put cacti on the bottom of the support legs. They have good friction, so should reduce the need for wheel chocks
Maybe have a vacuum pump in the water behind the craft bot, and link it up with vacuum tubes to the chest next to it. Saves having to do anything there.
Just something that could be cool is having a huge tube system that pumps chemicals all the way to your base into a storage system.
Your trailer is like perfect
yeyyyyeyyye scrap mehanic !!!!! yooohoo
Epic.
You made my day
you should add a water pump out the back wall of your workshop that leads into a chest, so you can take from it and is also on the intake of the concrete maker for faster crafting
You should make a little dock over the chemicle pond for your truck, should help with your sliding issue
You should use pumps to place some blocks. I'm sure you'll find a use for it.
Build a flat platform / save area next to the pond so you can back up, not slide in and just have a cool little building to have
hey KAN build a giant gate at left side of the wall then build a road with rails around your base because it will be more easer for your trucks to drive
Paint the green eyes from your logo on the side of the tanker. =b Good job, fun build! I went with a stationary chemical station that I just roll up to with my regular scout vehicle and collect from.
If you want a more rounded trailer I would use the large silo like parts on top of some of the warehouses.
It looks about like a milk truck. I hope they add some kind of easy on off connector for stuff like that to keep the lag down. Or anything else you might want to build with attachments.
Nice
You could build a small wooden bridge for the truck to back onto. The pistons go down far enough that you don't need to be "in" the chemicals
Build a dock into the chem pond to park onto, make the flat spot :P
For the chem pond you could take and make permanent weel chocks welded into the ground at the edge of the pond
Build a ramp at the chem plant/pond. Should stop the sliding. You still have plenty left in the pistons to compensate the extra height.
I really like the truck/trailer theme you have going on with your survival game Kan. Everybody else builds a custom vehicle for everything, so they have like 5 of them sitting around. I like the multiple trailer thing a lot better, cause it means all your fuel is in one place.
A dock type thing would work nice on the chem pond!
Nice. I think you should make a flat area for the trailer to sit on while it pumps
Maybe try using diamond plate blocks or something as a stopper so you don’t slide down the hill because diamond plate has high friction
Build a flat section at the chemical pond to park your tanker on for pumping now that you have easy concrete!
I did something similar mainly for water.
My solution to the sliding was that I put kinda two Us that I would back my wheels into.
(But mine was just a pump on a container on the back of my truck. I used it for watering, pump in, reverse the pump and water the plants lol)
Nice trailer I build a truck too from your video and the truck is amazing BTW love you videos
2 things. If possible I’d recommend using angle pieces to try and keep the pumps from hitting coming in. And 2 try and move the front axle up a bit. Normally trailers have more spread apart axels irl.
Kan could have carved out the corners on the inside without affecting the outside look. That way the pumps could have been one block lower and it didn't need to be as high.
Then it would in weld and fall apart but if he had a rib further up it wouldnt
Make landing legs that hold the trailer up while pumping out of the chemical pond, just use a piston and a tire on its side or other high friction items. Like the legs on cranes or firetrucks
When you park the trailer next to the pond you could make Auto deployed chucks like crane trucks do
With the bridge idea, make the trailer's belly open up in the middle and just have the pumps go straight down into a hole in the bridge.
When you put on the curve pieces on the pumps, it reminded me of an engine
cool
nice
FINNALY!!!!!!!!
Hey kan, I love the videos , been watching the whole survival series since the first video. I’ve noticed on all your trailers you have a stoop on all your trailers , how about building a regular semi trailer. Just so it’s a traditional semi truck and a semi trailer. This trailer looks visual appealing
Truck came out great. It is really huge for what you actually need. Maybe do a truck the size of a UPS truck. They really need to fix the friction of wheels. Especially lateral motion when stopped. It's just way too slick for a physics game. For base improvement, add more chests on the source side for the craft bot.
And I love your content
8~12 cacti can greatly reduce the sliding of the vehicle (depending on the weight of the vehicle). Use the pistons to support 2 of the four wheel positions to the extent that the wheels do not bear the weight (slightly floating). KAN can try
I think the retracted pumps caught because you slowed them down. You could probably put them and the rear hatch all on the same 1 switch and sequencer. You'd just have to add a third piston for the raising and lowering of the pump assembly and time the opening and closing of the hatch.
Heck, if you plan on making trips in the future, you could make a level platform for parking the tanker truck on like the others are saying, and just hook the pump mechanism to activate with a sensor aimed at a spot on the ground looking for a color. You back in, it auto extends and pumps, you drive forward just far enough to stop tripping the sensor, wait for the pumps to get put away, then drive off again.
As for the truck sliding into the pond. Build a permanent stall to back into that is u shaped that just barely fits under the lowest part of the trailer, that way you can back into it and it will hold the truck steady as you pump
