      @@europeinatesla If you watch my videos, you’ll see I had a Model 3 LR that I modded… Ended up selling it and I’m actually driving a Polestar 2 BST 230. I kind of regret it and I’m already selling it in order to buy the exact same replaça as yours ☺️ PS: I live in Switzerland but I’m currently in Ponte da Lime, not far from Porto for a few days

    What is a the main purpose of seeing your car on the screen? I been driving my model 3, and apart from parking, i see no real benefit from having the "blobs" appear in day to day driving, would much prefer to have a full screen map, i do find the blobs while driving a distraction.

    I'm so sad that my 2023 Model Y won't get this in the US because of some ridiculous rules here. I don't understand how regular high beams aren't worse and more dangerous than this.

    How well does it recognize and dim for oncoming trucks, pedestrians or bikes?

  • @markucio8787

    How do you find the internal ambient lights, I think they are too dim. We should be able to control brightness

    • @europeinatesla
      @europeinatesla  Před 6 měsíci

      I think they're pretty good - they're actually dimmed at night to prevent dazzle, if you are driving at night and want them super bright... go to the ambient light menu and it lights up to full brightness :)

      @@europeinatesla i dont think it can go to full brightness at night, at least no such option on my car

    • @europeinatesla
      @europeinatesla  Před 6 měsíci

      There’s no option to change the brightness - it just lights up to full when you’re in the menu to select the colour - if you keep it on that menu, it’ll stay bright

    Great video as always :) May I ask you how your transition from a BMW to the Tesla M3 has been so far? I'm currentlx driving a BMW 330d G20 and I'm not 10 sure if it will be too big of a downgrade to the Tesla in terms of interior quality, ride quality and overall quality of the exterior, paint and so on :(
    What do you think in direct comparison?

    • @europeinatesla
      @europeinatesla  Před 6 měsíci +3

      Thanks! To be honest, if you are comparing the quality of the finishes and how "plush" the interiors feel, you'll be disappointed. The BMWs are definitely a notch above Tesla.
      However, compared to the 3-series, I think the ride quality is on-par. The best you can do is schedule a test drive - and see for yourself. In areas where Tesla are lacking in terms of trim, finishing and overall feel of the car, it makes up with cool tech, practicality (frunk, trunk, app features etc).
      I think the biggest challenge coming from a diesel will be range - especially highway range, EVs just suck when compared with diesels.
      I can't really comment on the paint - I've seen a bunch of videos on this online and a few commenters have asked but I haven't had any issues - the paint finish is quite good, but in terms of longevity - I'm not so sure. I also live in a hot dry area (the Algarve in Portugal) - so snow and wet aren't really affecting my car.
      Let me know if this answers some of your questions and thank you for your continued support!

      @europeinatesla  Před 6 měsíci +1

      You're welcome! I answer this in my latest video (about the BYD) - but basically, I wasn't familiar with it before we came to Portugal - even if I knew about it, I wouldn't have had the confidence to buy it because I hadn't seen any BYD in real life before.

      Thank you so much Jim! I really appreciate the support!
      We got it from SHEIN, but you can get similar ones on Amazon. To be honest though, I wouldn't recommend it - my girlfriend had to stitch it up a few times because it kept falling apart and my dog is so small (1.8kg) and him applying pressure on the front cushion part causes it to break 🤦
      Congratulations on the new car and happy driving!

    • @europeinatesla
      @europeinatesla  Před 6 měsíci +1

      At 11:33, take a look at the shadow just before the cars in front. As soon as the car on the other side of the road approaches and passes, notice how the light shifts and then makes it way back to fill the gap. Previously it’ll just turn off the high beams if there are cars in front or oncoming…

    You didn't actually get the matrix headlights as a free upgrade. They were already part of the car that you paid for - just not activated in software until the various countries allowed activation. As I understand it in Australia, we are still waiting for government approval, but that should only be a formality as much of Europe and (I believe?) the U.S. has approved it. Does that include Canada?
    Still, nice to have an important feature/function turn on after purchase - so I understand your use of the word FREE. 😀

    has Tesla made any improvements on this "new" model 3 2024 or is the quality just as bad on this one in terms of the body, the paint, the rust protection, etc.
    I live in Scandinavia, here we have many months with snow and ice and salt
    My tesla model 3 performance 2019 I have learned the hard way is not made for this climate
    I knew that Tesla is not known for its quality, bad body, uneven paint coverage and thin, no rust protection whatsoever, the body is not even galanized, etc.
    to take some things now Tesla does a lot in its own way and unfortunately not always for the best
    czcams.com/video/vQxP6PaSmLc/video.htmlsi=4Er5URnwXuygtMGU
    the handles freeze so I can't get into the car regardless of whether I use the app to heat the car 2 hours before I go
    the few times this helps then another phenomenon occurs when i open the door and the window won't go down due to ice and i get in the car and close the door then the window explodes because the window hasn't gone down due to ice
    when there is a lot of snow on the car and I open the rear hatch, most of the snow falls straight into the trunk
    these are just some of the problems i have with my tesla 3
    here's a video that pretty well shows what I'm talking about
    czcams.com/video/WSq0u5_0mhM/video.htmlsi=wOkFTrbGs-t-RSLC
    the next video shows that the Tesla model 3 and Y have no rust protection whatsoever from the factory this is really bad
    czcams.com/video/IRjjS_yY2Qg/video.htmlsi=mZfm1zE3zqcxZp4D
    this does not work in our climate where they have to salt a lot
    my 2019 Tesla is full of rust and during the obligatory car inspection I received a number of remarks on my Tesla due to the fact that it is rusting
    if Tesla had wanted, Tesla could have fixed this with ease a long time ago
    but we have to wait a few years
    when the Tesla cars are completely rusted, then maybe Tesla will fix this
    the rust protection is so bad / there is no rust protection on model 3 and Y from the factory that a 5-year-old car used in Scandinavia already has such rust damage that it fails the car inspection
    here, Tesla must learn from the established car brands how to make a car body that does not rust apart after a few years
    this part should be much easier than FSD or sending people into space etc. for this, all icu car manufacturers have the knowledge, it's just for Tesa to copy their method
    unless Tesla improves the quality of their cars and by that I mean the body, paint, mechanical,
    then many Tesla owners will be quite disappointed when they sell their 3 year old Tesla which is full of rust and paint damage
    czcams.com/video/740YFhVREy8/video.htmlsi=a2ktLXohIQuqtQ2y
    unless you live in Miami or Dubai or some other place that doesn't have snow or rain
    in these cities no rust or rain protection is needed
