    It helps a lot keeping your shoulder close to your chin whenever throwing a job, cross or even kick while slipping. The basics can improve your striking game heavily!

    I was looking into muy Thai vs boxing and a lot of people were saying the head movement was different. This video was perfect in explaining that. I was deciding if I start boxing or Muy Thai and it sounds like Muy Thai would be best and I can always add in some boxing later. Mainly learning to just have a well rounded set of skills. Sounds like going from boxing to muy Thai, it would be hard to break those habits

    Had my first spar today, 4 sessions in. Proud of myself for going for it, but was far too on the attack. Didn’t realise how it’s more for bettering your moves and technique.
    I’m far too used to boxing stance and head movement, so I felt I looked stupid. But it’s just force of habit, hoping I get out of it soon. I can’t get used to just standing face on and not bobbing as much. Much more of a ballsy sport.

    How can you defend leg kicks if your moving your head and putting weight on your legs?

    • @warriorcollective
      @warriorcollective  Před 5 lety +1

      That is something that anyone would struggle with for sure. Tutorials such as this are always about context in the situation. You are perfectly correct. If your weight is over your leg, you will struggle to defend leg kicks. That is an obvious risk and something traded here. Nothing is fool proof. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment, I hope you enjoyed the video regardless!!
