- After 12 years of creating videos for this channel, we’ve passed 100K subscribers! Thank you all, this is an amazing community to be part of. I’m working on a 100K highlight video, and this is just a teaser of what’s to come. I figured if I were to put out a teaser, I might as well give some insight into what goes into the structure of a highlight video, as well as some tips and tricks to culling through lots of content quickly.
I’ve partnered with Adobe to give you my take on how to utilize their new Scene Edit Detection tool within Premiere. I’ve had a long-time working relationship with the crew at Adobe, and this channel could not have been possible without their tools. If you aren’t already on the train, I definitely suggest looking into it if you’re serious about getting into content production.

I love your work Abe. You are my goto for anything GoPro film related. I truly don't understand how you can only have hit 100k now. It truly should be a million. You're a humble legend!
Congrats brother, quite a milestone. Looking forward to many more great videos. You're an inspiration dude, keep up the amazing work.
Abe!!! You wizard! This is such a gem! Thanks for walking through this & sharing all your insights & experience! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Thanks Abe, I can't get enough of these bts/tutrial vids.
I love the way you get the work done. So simple and so awesome. This should be more recognized !
Abe, at 12:41, this could be one of the most important piece of info from any channel. And your statement about 'my videos don't look like yours' sums it up! It seems everyone has different way of doing Bitrate Encoding for uploads. I wish someone or CZcams would put out an EXACT setting to get consistent, amazing uploads from what we edit and see on our computers to what shows up on CZcams. Keep up the Amazing videos and more tutorials.
Great video, congrats on the 100k. Great to see tutorials on premiere and gopro footage, keep'em coming!
I remember your first videos on CZcams. 2009, I just started college.
Actually, it's the reason why I started skiing, interested in videography and editing.
After all these years, you continue to inspire. High five, Abe!
Great video Abe! Stoked on all the new tools Adobe comes out with. Congrats on 12 years!!

Congratulations on the 100k subs Abe!!! I'll soon be reaching 1000 subs and will be making a highlight video too so the techniques and tips in this video will definitely be used especially the scene detection cuts. And lastly the music from this video reminded me of my first hero 4 session video I edited using GoPro quick app I captured at my village. Always fun and inspiring to see your edits and tutorials 👍

Very good video :) Can you also make a video about your gopro settings?
Interested to know how you organise all your media on your computer. Do you split photos and videos into different files? Store on HDD and edit on ssd's? Quite struggling how to organise for the future.
Gracias amigo.

That subtle diss at 13:07
Hah not my intention. Just that we all think our videos look like crap after compression and upload
You probably get asked this a lot, but do you have a go to LUT for your footage? Also, do you do any post work to clean or dentist your footage? Thanks
Great video .. I edit everything for the most part in Premiere Pro. However, if I go to a car show I might have 40 clips .. I really enjoy using the Quik app which can take these 40 clips, probably 20 mins of video, auto highlight, and make a nice looking 6 min clip. I pull that into premiere and build a front and back to it. The problem is .. QUIK isn't working well at all on Android anymore. In fact, it won't export my creations. Do you know of any way to make highlight real similar to what Quik was doing?
What type of slider did you use for the timelapse of you at the desk?
Thanx, this is business for me
any color grading tutorials? the latest videos look rad
First comment... Keep it up👍
Greeting from #Nicaragua
How do you make those moving timelapses?
Re my earlier message, I forgot to mention that you can still export videos produced in Quik to CZcams.
Paul
Why v2 to v8? How is that organized? Thanks
👍
0:51 how it's made this nightlapse??
Can you show us your IG export setting
Abe the great.
Ok, the video is over....
*Last clip in airplane*
Wait... what?!? 😅👑
Overall good but not everyone have a monster computer to edit in 4K; so you forgot the use of premiere proxies
I actually didn't forget! Since I'm dealing with finished assets most of them are either old 1080P mp4 videos or ProRes - both of which your computer can handle fine without proxies. I'll do another video about the proxy flow - which I absolutely have to use for any edit utilizing raw content even on my iMac Pro!
@@abekislevitz thank you can't wait !!!!
As you are employed by GoPro as Creative Director why do you never produce a tutorial using GoPro Quik. (Not all of your subscribers have expensive PCs with Adobe Premiere Pro.)
Hey Paul, I am a professional content producer, and here I like to share the tools and methods I use regularly for those that want to go the extra mile and really plus up their content. If you want to use quik to make a video there aren’t any export settings to run through, so you get what you get! Also there are others at GoPro that are better versed to share how to use quik as that’s not part of my job per se. I use it and have worked with it, but it’s not my regular flow for highly produced content.
