Holy Hanna these kids are fantastic. I picked this vid randomly merely cause I dig Bowie, and Sound and Vision. Nor expecting too much, I mean after all, most high school music programs are poorly funded crap. Not exactly high priority when it comes to dolling out cash for instruments, and talented instructors. However these younguns showed any, and all who cared to listen, exactly what can be achieved with a great program, a talented teacher, and motivated kids. It was impossible not to get into their groove. I hope each student was given a recording of their performance. Well done guys.

This is incredible; how did I stumble upon this except that I am a huge David Bowie fan. Let this new generation never forget that David Bowie was an enigma, in a class all to himself, a virtuoso, a chameleon, an unsurpassed talent. I've been watching him since 1970. Thank you for bringing him back to life!

Extraordinary. What an undertaking for that conductor working with young people on such a complex arrangement. I can’t imagine managing those rehearsals or the patience and willingness to grow and bend on the part of those students. I’m hearing as much Ennio Morriconi as David Bowie. What an educational windfall for all involved, what a great memory to hold moving forward.

I have/had more than a dozen Bowie records I love and cherish --i'm talking about vinyl. One of them was some Eighties remix thing, a nine minute "orchestra version" which doesn't waste your time it is actually worth it. I'm sure I could find it here on th' tubes but I'll just listen and watch this instead. The future belongs to young people! Love!
