Thank you for this. Im just hopping into the dlc tonight and wanted to pick up viper. I was worried it was going to be super complicated, but overall it seems pretty easy to pick up. Its just a shame it doesn't have any sort of mitigation or raid buff, those raid wides are going to hurt a whole lot
Thanks for the awesome guide. Somethings I was trying to confirm: So Viper doesn’t have any party wide buffing and instead just has that self move in the 2 min window? Also it doesn’t seem to have any damage mitigation (like the Sam, Reaper or Picto’s shield for example) so you just have to take those party wide attacks? Finally during those “melee down” moments in the fight, are you just stuck spamming your ranged attack (and the stored more powerful ranged attack too?). Thanks again!
Yes to everything ^^ No party buff, no personal mit and you would indeed use your uncoiled fury for ranged uptime first before using your standard ranged attack.
@@IlyaDalamiq oh awesome thanks for the clarification. Yeah it feels weird not hitting anything when a boss does an attack (I’m so used to trying to time defensives to them as it felt rewarding knowing the fight) and also not having a “downtime” move will all take some getting used to… but it’s been fun playing Viper so far!

Also your normal ranged attack is one of the strongest of the melee ranged attacks. But I feel it needs mitigation indeed lol
