    I love this generation Camry. They were very popular in Australia, and thanks to our climate, there are still quite a few on the road 30+ years later.

      Japanese engines are bulletproof,but sadly they rust pretty bad..My grandpa had a Mazda Premacy with a 2.0DITD diesel engine and he only opened the hood when doing an oil change..But it rusted badly..So bad that the shock absorbers popped up from their spot😂😂And we had to scrap it..

    Not an interference engine... That was quite lucky.. First time a belt snapped in the channel wich is amazing considering how long some cars are parked... That belt would be probably some 30 years old

    Родной 3S-FE мотор, самый надежный и неприхотливый. Нисколько не сомневался что он сразу поедет! А ремень там походу еще с завода не меняли)))

    Amazing, but not surprised! I have an 88 LE sedan with only 113k that I drive on nice days 110 miles to work. Everything works including sunroof and tape deck.

    Seriously, the thing that almost everything works with of water coming inside and even breaking the timing belt is amazing. This is probably the most impressive thing i seen on this channel. A car for the apocalypse.

    man i love these Camrys. I had a 4 door Camry from that exact year with under 40.000kms and i miss it so much. It was stupid to sell it. For my opinion these cars look very good and they are comfortable with good reliable engines! But they also rust very good...

    Gotta love these vids. No one adds oil if there’s just enough, no actual coolant - only water - is dumped in the radiator. It’s not worth it, of course, because even if the vehicle is “running” it all proves why the thing was left to rot.

    I remember those, they called them "Cressida" here. Toyota Cressida. And the Camry was a separate model. I don't know why car companies do that around the world. 🤷‍♂️ Excellent job getting her running....too bad about the radiator though. I've heard if you put a raw egg in it, it stops leaks for just a short time. 😊

    my father had a same camry, same color, same body, just with the diesel engine. he has it like 19 years, and he put in it more than 500k km's. i grove up in that car and i loed it so much. sadly he has to sell it to africa because of the rust. i miss this car so much

    Toyota Camry. This model was very popular in Poland in the 1980s. This model was available in Poland for North American dollars and other convertible currencies and Pekao SA bank bills.

      Really? How did they getup Toyota Camry’s into Poland during the PRL times? Must have imported them from West Germany, France or the Netherlands? This car would have been really exotic looking amongst the Polonez & Polski Fiat 650 ( Maluch) cars? I. Sure parts would have been a challenge to get in as well?

    Very nice. Wife had an 88 Camry sedan as well as her first car. That car was indestructible until it was rear ended, and ultimately junked. Would've probably still been with us up to this day had it not been hit/scrapped. Miss that car!

    The engine is amazing, with proper clean, filters, water hoses, oil and clutch, it can make 400k Km with no problem.

    I have an 88. Camry in this color, with the 5 speed, only difference is that mine is a base model in really good condition and is a sedan, not a wagon

    I've always wondered when you snap cambelt from one of your findings, now it happened. Glad that the engine survived that. Maybe next time you wanna check the condition of those before revving engine up too much haha
