      Most tests are held in the day and a lot of Australians are able to watch tests in India bc it works better re time zones. A test day in India finishes about 11pm AEST where as an IPL match finishes about 4:30 am AEST.

      BCCI should be allowing their domestic players to play in t20 leagues. That’s what’s ultimately stopping to these smaller countries from gaining revenue.
      Jay Shah knows this, so by refusing to allow Indian players to play overseas, the BCCI is able to retain its power and revenue share.

    With all due respect to the Afghanistan Cancellations, Im all for them not playing them. But when they start to pick choose when they will and wont play them. It just sends a message of "we will fully support women's right in Afghanistan, but only when it doesn't interfere with our owns needs and wants" (ie world cup points).

      @TheShounak Před měsícem

      @@contrarian322 they are not against Taliban, but the decision of Taliban to cancel women's cricket. When the world boycotted South Africa, they did not boycott the National Party, but their policies of apartheid. A cricketing body cannot be making diplomatic decisions about the internal government of another country.

    • @contrarian322
      @contrarian322 Před měsícem

      @@TheShounak Well they had no hand in creating an apartheid South Africa but here they are actively responsible in destroying Afghanistan as a country and a society for the foreseeable future . I’m not even discussing the harm they would do by boycotting cricket or sports because Taliban doesn’t care for it . They are happy selling opium . Ultimately comes down to the fact that.. are your principles just for showing off or do you really practice them.

    As a Canadian cricket sports fan I am happy to hear that Mike played in Vancouver BC. There is a significant portion of cricket history in Canada & US that is very little known. Both Canada and US used to be stopover for Australian cricket teams after summer in England in the 19 century. Swing bowling as one historical records puts it was invented by an American Fast bowler.

    if your annual earning is above 27000 RS (above 350 dollars annually) than you are not considered poor here. So, the bar is quite low for govt. So, we still have lot of poverty. Stats are misleading.

    • @mg9854
      @mg9854 Před měsícem +2

      Bar is definitely not low considering who was ruling us from 2004-14 and how they tried their best to make India's condition worse than some African nations. Its a 140 cr + population country and it not easy to maintain everything and take decisions accepted by everyone unless you are a dictatorship like China where its easy to implement decisions. Seeing all these factors the current govt is actually doing a phenomenal job!

    • @deeksha2964
      @deeksha2964 Před měsícem

      @@mg9854okay job, bare minimum. Not phenomenal. Not much has happened post covid, need to strengthen and emphasise on the education and employment side of things which the govt doesn't care about at all. Obviously they'll win again, but i hope they don't get complacent.

    Disappointing that Australia won't focus more on the Big Bash. Australia needs to program test cricket around the big bash so the best players are available and the big international names will come. In the end it would be great for cricket to have another massive tournament outside the IPL. the Aust cricket calendar needs to be planned out better.

    A long chat and he hasnt managed to bring up the future of our womens team and what CA plans to do to keep our womens team at the apex of the world. What they plan to do to improve the WBBL. How we manage the WPL threat. How they manage the icreased work load.
    Not convinced that we have answers to the big questions facing our cricket. Seemingly the plan isto cower to India and just make the $$$$ in their wake.
