    • @AnnieNugget
      @AnnieNugget Před rokem +10

      The specifics depend on your personal goals and age. Tell me a bit about yourself and I can help you. (For reference I'm 25, already finished my trial/error from years of researching/learning/recreating my routines) :
      1-Whats your skin type (dry, oily, combo, sensitive, dehydrated, acne)? If you don't know then spend a couple months paying attention to your face. For example mine is oily, dehydrated, sensitive, I easily break out, and I have eczema.
      2- Do you want budget-mid range products? Don't worry there's good quality cheaper products out there. Or can you splurge on high end brands? This is important bc remember you'll be restocking frequently through the year with items like sunscreen or some serums.
      3- If you've done research already or have ingredients you like let me know. I can find you products with specific elements you like.
      4- Do you prefer fragrance free? Or no?
      5- Are you old enough to start seeing a gynecologist? If so I'd recommend getting a hormone screening. Its blood work. There could be other reasons for frequent acne/excessive hair/sweating/other issues. I asked for it during my yearly gyn checkup last time
      6- As annoying as it is to hear diet, sleep, stress, and overall lifestyle is a huge factor. You can slap all the good ingredients onto your skin but if you're messing up your lifestyle with cigarettes or constant fast food or no water then I mean you're spending all this money on skin health but not the rest of your health.
      7- Any other skincare issues you're dealing with? Aging skin, redness, acne, uneven texture, uneven skintone, sensitivity, sunburn, etc... Pay attention to everything about your skin so you're able to make solid decisions about your products. If you're older you might be dealing with aging skin, loss of the youth in your face, dark spots, sagging. If you're under 25 then honestly you might not even notice most of these skincare issues. The goal then is to focus on building excellent habits with formulations that aren't extreme.
      8- When it comes to sunscreen do you prefer physical (mineral) or chemical? Also tinted or nontinted? Physical tends to be preffered by environmental/animal lovers, zinc or titanium dioxide, basically sits on your face and reflects the sun rays, usually heavy white cast. Chemical tends to be preferred by makeup lovers, gets absorbed into skin, not all the products are bad, usually no white cast.
      9- Do you specifically want cruelty free products? Or vegan products? Or no? I personally try to aim for cruelty free at least but hey call me a monster but some of my products are neither.
      10- Once your face is washed how long do you want the rest of the routine to take? 7 min, 15 min, 30 min+ ?
      I think I covered enough to make a solid routine for you. ❤

      Why does your face or any face need so many products, less is more, especially for your face. I’m 85, no wrinkles, no acne, just normal skin! Only and always just cleaned my face with gentle cleanser, toned with witch hazel and moisturizer! Used many brands over my lifetime, usually inexpensive ones worked as well or better than the big name
      , big priced ones, good skin is in the cleansing and moisturizers!!

    • @AnnieNugget
      @AnnieNugget Před rokem +3

      @@HappyNanny10 Hi! So I have a few points to bring up. :
      First, your genetics play a part. I'm 25 and have terrible acne prone skin. I have it under control now but my skin has scars and big pores from simply having average genetics.
      Next there are environmental factors. I live in a nice suburb that is more on the rural end. I have good air and water quality. If someone were to live in a city there might be more pollution. Also someone's job (firefighter even) can put them in a position where their skin matures faster.
      Next, more products doesn't mean more "clogging up" the skin. A cleanser, maybe toner, serum, moisturizer, and spf are the basics. Some people make every product in their routine filled with every active ever. Skin needs to rest too and many people know this and keep their products formulations balanced. It takes time to research what you put on your body.
      Lastly, people have many skincare products because they enjoy it. For me its not just health- its also self care. Its a daily ritual that makes me happy and feel good. I invest good money into my skin and overall well-being. I want it to be something that makes me feel good inside and out.

      Same it works very well actually I have to get some more but vitamin C is an ingredient people tend to forget it brightens the pale ness of the skin and adds an extra layer of protection so that it doesn't dry out into your skin. Derma -D anti-wrinkle in the orange bottle is pretty good too because there's vitamin E in it any kind of oils, toner sprays, or facial lotions provides the protection you need for it to really work. I've gotten mistaken for a 26 year old before because I started my anti aging skin care routine in my mid 20s if you catch it early, don't do heavy drugs or drink this will save your face too even when you start to get old you won't feel like it if your consistent with your skincare and hygeine.

    Quick question, Since Vaseline is derived from petrol (gasoline products) is it safe for long term use on skin?

      Commercial Vaseline / petroleum jellies have been refined and purified to such a high standard that it is safe to use on the body. I’ve seen many dermatologist recommend using Vaseline for various different applications, mostly as an exclusive to lock in other ingredients layered underneath it. One of my friend did a cycle of Acutane and used Vaseline a over his moisturizer to seal in the moisture for several months and he did not notice any side effects
