- I make a blade using blacksmith welding from a motorcycle chain (Damascus steel from a chain). In the style of the movie Mad Max.

Probably the cleanest Damascus pattern I've ever seen...
uHm aCkChUaLlY iT's NoT tEcHnIcAlLy DaMaScUs
I'm usually indifferent to damascus, it hardly seems worth the effort, but that was really awesome. Fantastic pattern.
Beautiful piece of work!
Simon Roth but its not Damascus!
Damn
That look like a unique motocycler dagger, that only NPC shurap can forge:
+ 20% movement speed
+ 15% attack speed
+ 15% fire damage
+ 1% of instant kill the target
Thank you guys for made this item more realistic to the actual game, I updated the atributes!
+15 movement speed
+15% atk speed
Instant Backstab Kill on a rolled natural 20.
LOL..... On a roll of a natural 1, all members of your party are immediately teleported back to the real world.....

I used to work in a chain factory, working with the very size chains (50/60 series) in this video. Not just the use of high-carbon bike/motorcycle chain for a knife, but also keeping the links in line with each other during the drawing process to preserve the chain pattern in the Damascus is beyond cool, and is the hallmark of a true craftsman. Well done.
Just found this channel when searching for Damascus steel patterns, and OH MY GOD! I can't stop watching. Your skills at this are simply mindblowing. Definitely have to subscribe to this channel, cannot wait to see all the ones I missed and those to come!
The most unique patterns and materials on CZcams. Always a pleasure to watch.
How to basic is better :v

so good and beautiful
"It will cut, it will keel, it will EVERYTHING".
You are awesome.
What is the material he sprinkles after firing?
The vision you have for the finished pattern while you cut & build your billet is beyond my understanding. You are an amazing craftsman.
Thank you for sharing this with the world
Kind sir, this is an excellent piece of art.
Liked how he wiped the glowing steel sparks with his bare hand
Every video lol. This man is a tank
@@bermudavibe1714 I did this with shattered glass, also no problem xD
If you do it fast enough, it doesn't hurt even a little. Source: my father is a blacksmith
Irańian KiddoXx he’s not just acting tough. This is physics at work. You could do it too. It’s the same concept as being able to run your hand under a flame if you move fast enough.
@@MisterRorschach90 + callouses.
I always admire with how much care and skill you manage to forge scrap metal parts into stunning Damascus steel patterns without breaking it or producing cracks. Amazing work on this one too!
I got couple old chains in garage , and fire insurance.
Hold my beer.
Good luck
Riccardo Mariani he doesn’t need luck, he has insurance and probably more beer.🤞
Too funny
Ha
“Hands me white claw”😂😂😂
Это один из красивейших ножей - кинжалов ,которые я видел на этом Канале ! Браво !!! Рисунок просто шедевр ! Симметрия и гармония в клинке просто волшебная ! )
Best pattern ever, I'm a big fan of your work Sir, I watch a lot of blacksmithing channels and your work is the best when it comes to the beauty of the steel 👍👍👍👍
He surely knows what's he doing using the Bike chain for a nice pattern on the metal, also he hammer the hell out of that metal too
The most beautiful way to recycle bike chain. Like a phoenix, out of condemned rubbish rises a most breath-taking work of art
This is absolutely beautiful! Such a fine Damascus pattern! I give it an 11/10 rating
That is so beautiful my breathing stopped for a few seconds.
That pattern is mesmerizing...when he finished it with oil and wiped it off, my jaw dropped.
How did he do that though?
He dipped the blade into the acid so it amplifies the damascus patter
You can also do it with mustard, that makes an awesome pattern too
@@dusancvjeticanin7588 Neat. Btw where are you from?
So true. I thought it looked good before that, but then when that pattern was revealed, it was amazing. Its always cool to watch s true craftsman at work.
Same.
Thats the coolest blade i have ever layed eyes on. Amazing work my friend!!
Agreed
Then i guess one can say that limited blades you have layed eyes on! 😂
Its kind a like a reptile look.
Fantastic idea, fantastic execution. And such a beautiful blade!
That's a gorgeous pattern. I really liked how you forge welded the tip, instead of shaping it on your power hammer.
When I saw the end product , I unintentionally hit the like button
This has to be one of the most interesting, if not unique, looking knives I've seen!
19TheFallen but it is not Damascus
Beautiful craftsmanship. I really love watching the work you do. Very talented.
This has to be one of your most unique creations! Awesome result!
I’m definitely going to remember the way you made that handle. That was a very good idea
Love the “Anvil Wipe”. Not hot ? Hands of steel.
It gets a little hot but an an anvil has a lot of thermal mass so it won't heat up very fast
@@zekecrall4708 yes true
Moving your hand quickly like that across the surface doesn't leave much contact time for heat transfer, plus I doubt he's pressing down much so that also limits the contact. At most I'd imagine it's just a brief discomfort.
+November Reign Same thing with chefs. Enough burns and the nerves become damaged while the skin thickens, eventually enough that handling hot pans without pot-holders becomes natural.
i noticed it..
Dude that is tight! That pattern is gorgeous. Didn't expect it to look like that! Outstanding job.
Wow!!! Truly amazing....such a vivid pattern. Definitely the prettiest blade I've seen. Nice work man.
Как всегда невероятно!!! Когда понял что рисунок на клинике и ручка продолжение друг друга - чуть мозг не лопнул... Спасибо за видео!!!

Bits of plastic and rubber tyres in there.

This is one of the most beautiful pieces of artwork I've ever seen created..

Офигительно, как всегда. И сам процесс и результат. Браво. Спасибо за работу. С Уважением Петр.
Дмитрий, как всегда шедевр!!! Твои ножи просто произведения искусства 👍👍👍
Wow, you made that look easy. Looks about as close to perfect as one can make!
I think this guy defo has Elven blood! Making exquisite blades like he does and then there's that magical looking tea! Respect ♥

WOW!!! The pattern you ended up with is unreal. Beautiful work!
Beautiful knife I wish my hands would let me get back in the shop and forge. I would love to own this master piece.
Jaw hit the floor when you showed the finished blade .. unreal craftsmanship.
An easy 11 out of 10 ! 😎
Поражаюсь Вашим работам! Вы настоящий мастер,спасибо за видео.
Как всегда процесс сварки завораживает))) а формирование жала кинжала вообще выше всяких похвал)
بالله عليك .... مين رح يفهم عليك انت ؟؟
One of the most creative knife that I've seen on CZcams so far👍🏻
Absolutely stunning! The coolest piece of Damascus I've ever seen.
I just seen the one with the steel cables and i haven't been able to stop watching. Absolutely amazing work
It's nice to see a blade with a handle from time to time. Love your work.
That is astoundingly beautiful. The type of thing you'd see a biker pharaoh or a black metal Viking leader carry
Much respect from 🇿🇦
One of the better craftsmanship I've seen... Good job! I would totally buy that piece
it has to be one of the most facinating Damascus patterns I've seen, a cross between a book matched piece of wood and a snake skin.
Hi Shurap, Astonishing. The best I've seen you make. The pattern is just amazing. Cheers, Huw
Huw?
@Jake Heke thanks I really believe you
When he pinned the chain as the handle, all I thought was, "That's just upsetting"
I wonder how many people actually get that pun. Five likes anyway. Nice one!
I found it riveting...
Needs upsetting is what I thought.
i hate you.
The pattern is beautiful, the handle amazing.
This craft is amazing, the steel is also amazing, ageless and as brand new with a skilled blacksmith....
You have got some serious skills. Best forge videos on the internet hands down.
Q: What do you do for fun?
A: Make weapons that could end your life, oh, and, drink blooming flower teas.
I think the flower tea was used to bring out the pattern in the steel.
zzebowa i dont think so
@@zzebowa Exactly. 😂
@Evolventity He made a dagger to kill the time.
Is For Self Protection..!!!!!.
Is it just me or heated up at the start does it low-key look like a waffle
You hungry bro xD
Say what you want to say without adding extra nonsense. You'll appear more intelligent.
Shadrach Lawson you’d sound a lot more intelligent if you didn’t try to police peoples speech in the CZcams comment section of all places.. they aren’t writing a dissertation
Low-key, trolled.
@@shadrach5681 Clearly you're lacking a few cells. Guess you're the type of girl/guy that's a barrel of fun at party's. Not.
Super cool idea, very original blade. And the Tea. Let's not forget the Tea.
With no first hand knowledge of the craft myself - absolutely beautiful ! Thank you for sharing
Это просто нечто. Есть же у людей талант покорять метал

I imagine 50 Cal. Browning MG
Reminds me of my mother's old sewing machine

i just love how after every time he hits the blade and removes the scale from anvil
That is so much more than a functional tool. It is aesthetically a beautiful piece of art.
Some high quality smithing there. Damn, im a little jealous.
Alot jealous here...fine work!
I would be more impressed if he turned it back into a motorcycle chain.
@@garypulliam3740 loool 😂
This is amazing. You do some insane work with unconventional materials. I would love to have some of your knives in my collection especially this one. Keep up the awesome work.
That is an awesome looking blade ! I love watching your forging videos !
This is my favorite so far, I've seen a few of your other "chain blades" but i really like how this one turned out.
Blew the roof off my expectations, that was sick
Красота!никогда ножи не любил,но этот просто завораживает
Полностью согласен
I truly wondered why you cut the V in the end of the blade. After seeing the end product i completely understand. OMG the uniformity is superb. Thank you. WOW
Can't believe the pattern is so symmetrical! Keep up the work king. 🔱
Outstanding brother. That's a beautiful pattern, and a work of art! Keep up the good work.
When you gonna be on “Forged in Fire”?
He too good for those dumbasses
Btw, are this show still running?
@@mitaskeledzija6269 Maybe. But judging by this blade, easy money for him. He'd win easy.
@@mitaskeledzija6269 Well first off, that is not true Damascus Steel blade. He just forged a single billet, instead of using different layers of contrasting steels and forge wielding those billets which will eventually give you the different types of patterns, like ladder, or raindrop. The patterns on his blade came from the links.
@@mariajukejax9649 Nope,, would have been disqualified because, it wasn't layered, or a canister Damascus, and he didn't use different types of steal. Beautiful blade though. I'm not putting his work down at all.
Dude said, “I shall cut you.” But first, TEA!
tea time is important
Love the sound of that power hammer. Sounds like a lmg
That is the most beautiful blade I’ve ever set my eyes on.
Who’s giving this guy a thumbs downs? Is it people being envious of his skills?
Immortan joe hates him.
Might have been a mis-fire.
Me. Because he doesn't talk. Jk no. Idk really. If I had to guess though it would be because it's all visual progress and he doesn't talk to you and talk about what's going on. Like Alec Steele does. I personally don't give a shit really but it is cool for the blacksmith to explain what they're doing, what they will do next, and the history of whatever is being made. Its a cool addition, but I don't really give a fuck. This guy is creative. Thumbs up from me!
Wasn't expecting that result... pretty damn amazing.👍🏻
10:10 when it first comes out of the etch, with the muted green hue from the acid+ the pattern..friggin gorgeous
I Like to watch forging videos a lot, So far this is the most beautiful pattern I’ve seen
Me when he dips it into the liquid and it comes out with spots: "Mmmmmmm das nice"
I believe its an acid, used for coating a pattern, only aesthetics
@@rebeccaconlon9743 At first I thuaght it was hydrodip
It is acid, but it reveals the pattern already in the metal by etching away at the surface, not coating it.
@@fr3heart exactly. The different metals used are not affected by the acid at the same rate so you see the actual layers quite nicely
Please what is the dust that he drop on when he stars to forge it?
That was nice to watch. I have only seen it done with a canister before, but this gives a really nice pattern. Good to see.
So many questions! But instead of bitching how the creator didn't explain or do captions or anything, I shall thank you for creating a mesmerizing and fascinating video while also giving me something new to learn about ^_^ So thanks!
Finally someone who uses their hands. Too many youtube black smiths use all these heavy duty sledge machines and all this automated stuff. Takes the fun and craftsmanship out of it
I do agree, but at the same time, I recently hand forged my first raindrop damascus billet and forged it into a knife... Due to work and life, the process took me about a month and a half. With a power hammer, I could have done it in an afternoon.
The final result is very impressive, a beautiful work
The pins from the chain make for an interesting pattern! Good looking blade
My favorite one yet. Congratulations on such beautiful work.
