Universal Studios Orlando Jaws Ride HD POV (FULL RIDE) Last day!

- Take a ride on-board the epic Jaws Ride at Universal Studios Florida. This was filmed on the final day of operation of this classic theme park attraction. Jaws and the Amity area of Universal Studios Florida closed forever on January 2nd, 2012 and were replaced by The Wizarding World of Harry Potter Diagon Alley. Located at the Universal Orlando Resort in Orlando, Florida.
Jaws: The Ride was in operation from 1990-2012 and was based off of the Jaws films directed by Steven Spielberg. Jaws can still be seen in 2 Universal Studios theme parks. Universal Studios Japan has a Jaws ride very similar to the one shown in this video and there's a smaller Jaws scene on the Backlot Tour at Universal Studios Hollywood in Hollywood, California.

i LOVE the tour guides. So full of energy and they take their job serious. The ride may not have been all that. But the guides make it so much more fun
How forced the acting was was more entertaining than the ride itself xD
Especially when you could tell they were legitimately having fun with their part.
Sometimes though they got that 'I hate mondays' attitude and it actually shows in their 'performance' ...

I'm going to miss this ride. It was especially cool right before dark. I understand progress and all, as it was torn down to make room for Diagon Alley, but it was one of those campy rides that never actually got old.
What they got rid of this ride?
you can still ride it in Japan

Had to admit, this attraction is really well designed
I rode it the first time in Japan. Its fun and not understanding Japanese weirdly makes it funner.
Just imagine being a mechanic on this ride and the shark is having problems
And then it gets malfunctioned and eats everyone
Just like in the movie
Replace it with a real shark maybe?
@@aerialexplorer772 true, no technical difficulties
I know this was 10 months ago but holy that mechanic would be terrified for his life
I remember this ride so so well! My mum and step dad had saved up to take us all the way from Scotland. My mum had been with my late father in the late 80s and wanted me to experience Disney in all is glory. I remember grabbing onto my stepfather's hand (I was only 9 at this point) during the shark chewing the cables. I don't want to attribute the first time I connected to my step-father was due to a rubber shark, but I thank this attraction for one of the earliest, and greatest moments I have of him
I can't believe this video has over 100 million views. It just goes to show how beloved this attraction is and how it made our day at the park. Jaws will always be my favorite ride of all time.
your favorite ride of all time?
@@lahmayoo Yes, even if it is closed.
Yet traumatized me
@@lahmayoo that's what he said...
Bump. I remember Jaws was my favorite movie when I was 6-7 years old (I was a unique child lmao) , anyways I always went on this ride when my family took a trip to universal. I remember when I found out it was closing I was in 5th grade and made my parents take me *one last time* instead of any other gifts for Christmas or my birthday and I cried after riding it 5 times in a row 😂😭 oh sweet sweet nostalgia. Now my parents are divorced and I’m 20, so it just reminds me of the good times we had as a family
I can't believe this ride doesn't exist anymore, because it'd be worth going to Universal Studios Florida, just to go on it.
it’s in Japan.
This is so fucking awesome. America knows how to build great rides.
yeah but funny thing is when you look up those builders a lot of them come from Europe lol but in this case you are right :-)
As a European I like reading that haha. I did not know that.
Jay Ehm
actually it is not very hard to find out:
a lot of official park-websites tell you who built their rides or you can read the stuff up on wikipedia or costernet, rollercoasterdatabase.com and so on and so on
Jay Ehm ,
I ageeee they do do some epic rides
I used to watch this almost everyday in my bedroom quiet, windows open, daytime, lights off, and I had a popsicle in my hand, eating it while I watched this video. Literally EVERYDAY.
okay and? lol
@@origamiwithrami nobody asked for your input

Her acting was incredible! Never seen anyone act that good on a ride
I'm kinda sad it closed down. Yah it was cheesy, but that's what made it fun! And the little area surrounding it was cute. I think it was cool and I don't care what anyone else says.
Tyrannosaurus Rex they are making a harry potter expansion they completely took out jaws and the entire area and are now in the process of building london/ diagon alley

My first time seeing anything about this ride and it looked awesome. Really cool to see more practical effects rides from Universal (from back in the day) as I've only started visiting in the past 6 years.
I loved this ride. My daughter and I knew just where to sit. Out of so many theme parks and so many rides this was my favorite. I am sad to see that it is no longer running.
I loved this ride. I fully understand why it was demolished and I prefer what's in its place, but still. Good memories.

I have a VERY big fear of sharks so instead of going on the ride and freaking out I can watch this. Thanks a lot for this😁
Me too! My heart is pounding.
I like to research sharks and Jaws is completely fake in terms of how sharks behave irl. They won’t hunt you, although bites do happen they’d rather eat fish and seals/ sea lions than people. We just don’t have the calories/ blubber sharks need
Guys the shark’s an animatronic it’s not real you don’t need to be scared
I remember closing my eyes the 1st time I went to jaws ride in Hollywood
Oh wow! This ride brings back so many fun family vacation memories ❤ I can't believe my 7yr old self thought this ride was really happening 🤣

It's the magic of theme parks
i went on this ride in universal studios in japan with the dude i was dating back then. he assured me i would be less scared if i sat closest to the water on the left side of the ride bc the shark wouldn't pop up as much there. i nearly pissed myself.
I was once on the universal studios tour as a kid and was sat in that exact spot and it scared the life out of me.
i went there too 5 years ago and my sister was super motion sick so she threw up all over me and the shark and they had to close the ride to clean it up

@@no-eu8bc lol it was a fun ride! No matter how many times I went on it I would always scream at the part where you get locked inside the dark garage and Jaws came attacking the boat 🤣🤣
As someone who's ridden this ride multiple times, I can say with certainty that this whole ride hinges on how involved and how good of an actor the skipper is. If you have an honestly good person running your boat, it can be a really fun ride, but someone who's overly-dramatic to the point of silliness or just not involved at all can and will completely ruin this ride for you.

This was the final day of the Jaws ride, check my channel for a tour of the newly opened Diagon Alley (which replaced Jaws/Amity Island). This is the reason I’m terrified of animatronics to this day haha. Real life trauma.
Yes, even though the water is only a few deep in most places I would be absolutely terrified in there.
I swear this ride still gives me ptsd to this day. I wish ten year old me did not sit on the edge where the shark came up
As a kid I remember Jaws being one of the few "adult" films my mother would watch with me (i was 5 at the time) and I became such a huge fan. I knew about the ride, but I've never been to Disney or Universal Studios (Still haven't) And when I heard this ride was being taken down for a new attraction I got upset that I'd never get a chance to see it. So thanks for doing this and posting it up on youtube! ^o^

She needs to take it down a notch or two.
Layoff the Mountain Dew, sister.

Theme parks are my favorite thing in the entire world. I would spend my life going to every one if I had the money. You miss things like this. It's sad when a ride gets removed. Regardless sometimes it isn't the best but it's the nostalgia of being there still.
Man that ride of the jaws looks so cool
This is sad, I enjoyed the Jaws ride. Any Disney veterans remember the king kong ride??? I loved that ride too and they got rid of that (a long time ago). I'll be going to Disney World and Universal Studios in August, can't wait!
