It was amazing to watch how Snowball literally “came alive” in this video. When the vid started, he seemed to have one foot already in the grave. As the show progressed, and he talked about the history of the car, he was almost leaping out of the chair with enthusiasm! It was so great to see his transformation! You guys are not only restoring an old race car, you’re regenerating an old man! I can’t wait to watch this series!
My Dad's been gone 20+ years, but I like that this build will bring a wall to wall smile to the old man's face when he see's it and hears it run. Dang good Idea guys- and I really mean that!
We are fast running out of these guys from his generation- I hope he gets to see it.
THIS is why I love being a Virginian. There are so many wonderful and gracious old guys dotting the hillsides with so many wonderful stories to tell. Shine runners, dirt trackers, drag racers, and just plain old gear heads. Thankyou for bringing his story to us and helping to preserve the history he helped make.
TOM & DAVIN!
Holy cow, it's BOTH my favorite programs from Hagerty right here together!
DUDES, that's like crossing the streams in "Ghostbusters" - you never cross the streams!
Too much awesome in one space will warp time and space or something or other....
and to beat all, you guys were just a couple hours up the valley from us. Too much!
That's an awful lot to keep secret from us for all this time.
THANK YOU guys for doing what you do and sharing it with us.
It just made my day, seriously. SO looking forward to the build!
All good vibes to the Snowball clan as well, just great stuff there too. Much respect!
Y'all be safe out there,
-Ed on the Ridge
I love how Snowball's face lights up when he's talking cars with Davin. Can't wait to follow the project!
"Pavement is for getting there." LOL quality!
Barn Find Rebuilds! I like it!
I'm so pleased you fellas respected him by having the decency to listen and enjoy him. So many "interviewers" can't do that nowadays. Thankyou.
You got that right...let them talk!
I think you could make an entire series of Redline Barnfinds.
What a great back story on this upcoming Redline Rebuild. This one will be like all the others - a total hoot and absolute fun to watch.
The story of how he got an engine from Lee Petty is awesome
Yes, and Snowball also got "a pile" of extra 426 Mopar engine parts in the deal.
Dude, I have so much more respect for you now! Knowing you run on dirt, and that exact saying is on the back of my truck! Love it!!!!
Cant wait to watch the build. Good ole Boys, as good as it gets.
Seeing these two shows cross makes me really happy! Great work.
I got a 37 Pontiac coupe from a guy in Kansas when i was 15 that used to race these old coupes. I got to meet up with him and show it to him and his brother a couple of years ago. Love this era of old hot rods and race cars. This is going to be a cool build!!
Snowball wasn't the only one smiling, I had a grin on my face through the whole video. As a teenager back in the mid 60's there were several gas stations and other local shops that built and ran similar cars, many were still flatheads back then. I would hang out and watch them work on them whenever I could. By the late 60's early 70's going to the track on the weekend was a regular date for me and my girlfriend / wife on the weekend. I can't wait to see you bring this car back to its past glory.
These old independent Racers are American Gold. Their stories always bring a tear to anyone who has a soft spot for American Iron. This is a great idea!!! Really looking forward to seeing this project develop!!!
Redline came to my attention doing the Pantera's engine, and now I can't wait to watch this whole series. Great combination of programs.
That intro reminded me why I'm glade I left Michigan, Davin you can have all that crunch crunch crunch.
Conversations like these amongst friends are the true marrow of life.
I can't believe it's been 3 years. He didn't make it to see it, but good job Davin and team on the rebuild! RIP Snowball.
It's oftentimes very hard to continue a project once the initiator passes away. Davin and team did it right.
This is awesome. But Davin authenticates Hagerty. He's the best part. Everyone follows Davin for a reason. Great video Gentlemen. I will follow this car and its build and tell all my buddies to do so too! Good work.
What a lovely gathering you all did. Snowball looked like he was having the time of his life...!
Great episode Tom and Davin!
Nice one guys! Looking forward to this restoration, glad this old racecar is getting some love, it deserves to be preserved.
Greatings from Sweden 🇸🇪 damn 🤘🏼 really cool hear those old stories 👌🏼😎
My two favorites. By far the best episode of Barn Find Hunter, now coupled with Redline? Watching and waiting patiently. Bravo for continuing "Snowball's" legacy.
One of the best episodes yet, can't wait to see the rebuild & saving a piece of dirt track racing history!
Now this is true entertainment worth watching! True Americana you're saving here fellas! Hagerty, lets see plenty more Tom and Davin episodes!
Thank you both for sharing and thank everyone for putting this together. Looking forward to watching the progression on this one. 🇨🇦😎
Great job all, good things from good people, do it one more time for your father or old friend....the rewards are priceless, peace.
i had no idea what snowball said half the time, but every word was awesome.
This combo was way over due, should be an epic build!..thx Hagerty, Tom & Davin.
Your going to put a smile on more than one old man's face! Your spending my premium wisely.
Great old stories. I can't wait to watch this rebuild. Gonna be fun to watch it come back to life.
Thanks for going out of your way to help a guy out with his project . I almost teared up.
Wow! You guys picked up this car from where I grew up. I feel like a celebrity lol!
Good for you Davin, love to be helping you out with this one!
I am so happy this is happening. When I first saw that car my thought was that it needs to be brought back to life. Good for you guys. And GOOD for Snowball. Thank you.
This looks like fun, with the two shows crossing paths. Salute!
It’s great to hear these guys talking about the old days. I miss those days.
That is so great to see this project happen. I love Barn Find Hunter, never watched Red Line yet. I will definitely check it out !!!!
Can't wait to see this project progress, should be a good one. I could sit and listen to the stories the gentlemen was telling all day!
I love hearing old Racers tell their stories.
*Best I mean best series on CZcams!*
Thanks guys, great idea I think you have relit some smoldering fires. Of course we will be watching.
Central California watching
This is great Snow ball mentioned Stanley’s Flatheads he built Stanley used to build a special intake and would hide a tractor updraft carburetor inside of the intake to cheat I love these old guys and their stories
Great project.... Dad has great smile and great stories 👍
So that was fall 2019 and things have been kicking around Tom has sold the 427 wagon since this was shot so it will be exciting to see where this project is.
Matt Robin I did,nt know he sold that unique car !! Sad...
@@marcryvon I know that is a special car. I understand why when he said it was for sale because he didn't have room amongst all the other cars in his possession. He has a great video of his stuff out there and mentioned the wagon was for sale.
Man I want that wagon. dayum what a killer ride.
I haven't started the vid yet but I think I recognize the car in the thumbnail from one of toms episodes if it's what I think that's incredible
The eye candy, is just dandy!
This is the best CZcams channel out there.
Old man snowball 7:35was excited when Davin started talking about doing some racing too.
I love that the cat has it's own chair for the interview😂
Love this content....Reviving the past for a better future and bringing smiles along for the ride!
I have an old 48 Dodge "Fluid Drive" 2 door business coup that I started on 25 years ago and has been sitting in storage ever since, (life happens) Need to find someone to take it over so it can live again.
So vert excited to see this one brought back to life! Awesome!
Looking forward to this!! Thanks!!
This is going to be a fun project!! Really looking forward to seeing it happen!
This is going to be a great project to watch develop.
Was so afraid that Snowball had passed away when I saw you getting this! Very glad he's still alive!
I'm so glad this Happened. Cheers guys.
Can’t wait to see the rebuild progress and to see it run again will be amazing 👍👍😍😍
Thanks for posting and sharing. Nice to hear about the project car.
Absolutely brilliant, I can't wait to watch the progress, had a tear in my eye watching this one. :)
What a treat
Thanks for putting this together y'all
Just listening to Snowball's accent made this video...thanks guys!
Can’t wait to watch this series 😊👍
I like the old Ford Classics especially the 69 and 70 mark 1 Mustangs. Thanks guys. I'm from TN. Great video 👍
That’s is going to be a fun project. Very cool car.
Oh dang Tom and Devin, why o why did you guys have to steal my fantasy! Hahaha, love the project.
I watched the episode of barnfind hunter with this car and tought, now thats a Hot Rod waiting to happen.
Changes a lot from the usual 32's. Nothing wrong with 32's, love them but this is a change in taste.
Gona enjoy every minute of the fixup, lots of groovy video shots please and dont forget the smoking tires!!
Grtz and stay safe!
This is going to be a good story 🙌
I personally hope you guys get that job done on that car before snow ball passes away and thank you for doing it that was an awesome episode I watched mr. Haggerty do
What a cool episode. Loved the stories. Loved the car. Can't wait to see it built up.
I was really hoping this would happen. Can’t wait to see the finished product.
Amazing collection
Good idea guys. Cheers.
Looking forward to the build. Should be fun to watch. Thanks
My Dad owned a 1/4 mile dirt track outside Beaver Dam Wisconsin they ran a similar car with a flat head built by Andy Granatelli’s father in his speed shop in Chicago and they were beating the Chevy small blocks for a few seasons and when a Chevy did finally beat them they built a 12 cylinder Lincoln. They did sell the track around 1960 because their salvage was keeping them to busy. It was a great way to grow up.
You know it's badass when you hear the clutch being released on the 428 that is in the factory ordered STATION WAGON. We need more of these wagons. Don't care who made them just find them.
This is a fantastic idea! I can't wait to watch the refurbish series and reveal to Snowball.
I can't wait to see the next vedio...going to be epic.
Amazing project. Can't wait to see the episodes
I cant wait to watch... for the old man...
Someone needs to write a damn book about this man!
You all seem to have the coolest jobs !!! Wish I could help !!
Tom's ford sold for around $134,000 I can't believe it. When I saw the price was currently bid @ $17K I thought I had a chance. LOL
Wow, really? Amazing, but it was a 1 of 1.
What ford?
@@fcukyou2_ the 60's town and country he bought that was a original one of a kind because it had the 427 3 speed manual, Watch one of his older barn finds when he came across it.
@@johnds6621 Im pretty sure I've watched every barn find hunter but don't remember it..its gonna be hard to find with as many episodes and how many cars are in each one ..maybe a title will give it away? I dunno..I know he hasn't brought many cars on the show though just don't remember how far back it was
@@fcukyou2_ Ep #13
Wow now that’s cool. Both of my favorite Hagerty guys in one episode. 😀
This is going to be a great rebuild!!
Cool dudes!
This is going to be a good one, well done guys. 👍
Exactly what we want to see. Just didn't know it's what we wanted.
Fantastic. Tom and Dave watching from a wet and damp uk. 😀👍
Wow, really looking forward to this.
Great! Looking forward to more.
I get that you were goin to Virginia but where did you start from with that cold cold crunchy snow on the ground???? You are going to make old Snowball melt when he see it again! Need more people like you guys in this world.
Woo! Nothing like a Crisp 5:00AM (pre-coffee) introduction! Oh, man... @0:53 I have driven that very stretch of Interstate! I hope Hagerty buys at least 65% of his cars!!!
Wicked i do hope he gets to see it when its done :)
Good luck dear friend. I look forward to reviving this car like any other car
Can't wait to see the result!
