Nice crossmember, but one thing... That trans mount is 69 and earlier and it is captured in a box within the factory crossmember. The way you have it mounted leaves only the 5/16 stud to locate the trans. If you add walls around it on your existing perch, you'll be good to go.

I'm just wondering why the cross member is offset to the mounting holes in the gearbox. I would put the member directly under the mounting holes, which would give a much stiffer construction. Well, that is just my take, I bet there is a very good reason why it was done that way. Thanks for the vid!

Motor: "A machine, especially one powered by electricity or internal combustion, that supplies motive power for a vehicle or for some other device with moving parts" Oxford definition
Motor: "any of various power units that develop energy or impart motion: such as:
    a: a small compact engine
b: INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE especially : a gasoline engine
c: a rotating machine that transforms electrical energy into mechanical energy" - Merriam-Webster definition

Motors have wires and go in washing machines. If it is an internal combustion "thing", it's an engine. It would be assumed that if the transmission mount is flexible then the engine mounts up front are solid, correct? No way do you want both to have flex or the engine WILL torque.

The rubber trans mount is not a good idea. Circle track engines are direct bolted to the chassis.
If you do use that mount the rubber part of it goes into a pocket with metal on al sides of the rubber.

As always an amazing video, Hagerty.
Regarding the crossmember, how do you think will be the durability of the crossmember since that part will be supporting a lot of vibrations coming from the gearbox? In the long term, it might crack and break.
Maybe it would be ideal to add some rubber mounts in the connection?
Thank you for the great content.

You didn't give a description of the tranny mount used here, but it sure looks like a Mopar mount. If it is, it is made to be incased in a box surrounding all sides of the mount. For what I see, you'd have been far better off using a chevy tranny mount and raising the cross member. That would give the trans the needed support and give far more room for exhaust. I think this is the first time I have ever not agreed with you on your choice!!

Gets much worse in some parts of the world, where 'motor', 'car' and 'engine' are interchangeable. For instance, I might go to the garage with a bad misfire, say. Conversation with mechanic might go...
"Got a problem with the motor."
    "Aye, what's up?"
    "The motor's running on three."
And the point will be understood.
Besides which, they're all machines: devices to transform one form of energy into another.

    Motor vs Engine
    coming to terms with terms
It gets blurry, butt let's fight over it cause it's fun to learn and confuse at the same time.
Here's a suggested line of thinkin,
A "MOTOR" is acted upon by some form of "ENERGY" to cause an action
Examples would be electricity making a motor rotate, compressed air spinning a pneumatic motor, falling water turning a water wheel, and so forth.
An "ENGINE" takes a "FUEL" and chemically CONVERTS it into mechanical energy.
BUTT as long as we aren't too picky, we can interchange these two terms
[yawn] oh my that was boring
Please, somebody come along and mince words and tell me I've got it all wrong
