    I removed or unplaged the Sena ear speakers and installed a New cardio I already had from my old helmet. Installed the JBL with no problem,then added the Cardio unit slightly sbove the left side Sena control mount area . Worked great, if the Cardio fails later on, I will then add the Sena 2 system... Yes the Sena stock wires unplug, leaving all factory antenna,and wires intact.

    Great video and helmet.
    I have a Sena system in my helmet. Never used it for coms, would be great to use it for the Wales trip 😀

    It is probably odd, but I am surprised at how much I like the feature where the shield remembers where it was before raising the chinbar. My girl friend gets a bit claustrophobic when the chinbar closes and the face shield is down.
    I prefer to use in-ear monitors because they also function as ear plugs and cut down wind noise. It reduces some of the difficulty in wiring a helmet. I get a short replacement cord so that I'm not trying to stash the extra. The earlier Sena and current Pack talk units have a standard headphone connection, so using them will not be difficult as long as the built-in speakers do not get in the way. The SC2 does look very convenient. In the US, the C5 has just shown up in dealers and I was impressed at the fit. My head is a longer oval. The helmet that I tried on could have used some thicker cheek pads, but was otherwise comfortable.

    Mine was utterly dreadful - worst I’ve ever owned, sadly. It let water in through the top of the visor, which pooled on the chin bar. Opening the vent to clear the condensation from the non-functioning pinlok system, blew rainwater direct into my eyes. Absolutely lethal! Couldn’t close the face module with the mic connected. Chin strap is ok if you’re into garrotting. I took it back and paid the extra for a neotec, which has been fine. I’d be really interested to see if yours keeps the water out, I.e., whether mine was just a dodgy 1-off.

    Great review. What's your impression of the helmet and comms now you have been wearing and using it for a while? I'm teetering on the edge of pulling the trigger on one.

    "Um, it's popped out again". Yes, the lining on my Schubert S3 often pops out too, when I take the helmet on. It's very annoying.

    Thanks for sharing. I can’t imagine putting another comms unit is going to be an easy task unfortunately.
    Got a few questions: how is the helmet overall, noise levels, visor clarity head checks?
    Did you have a Neotec 2 before getting this?

    • @JockBiker
      @JockBiker  Před 2 lety

      Noise level is much the same as neorealism and hoc. I don’t notice a massive difference. Vision is good. Yes I had a Neo tech for a short time. Didn’t fit my head though.

    Nice run through of the helmet and comms unit. I'm guessing as the SC2 is a proprietary unit, there is no way of linking it to an action cam for vlogging? Would be a nice touch instead of mucking about with another mic and associated wiring!
    With the tinny sound, if you can add velcro 'spacers' between the speakers and where they mount, it will push them closer to your ears and improve volume and bass response. Not actually seen one of these, so don't know how they are put together ;-)

    Thanks for the video. What size head do you have? Is it 57cm like the helmet? Have you replaced any padding for a perfect fit?

    Hi, I just bought that helmet in the white globe color. I havent been able to try it out on a ride yet, because my bike is in Colombia, and I’m in Alaska. I saw some videos where the owners complained about the front shield would constantly fall back down on its own, whilst riding at certain speeds. Have you had this problem?

  • @Trond_Karlsen
    @Trond_Karlsen Před 2 lety

    I have damaged my C4Pro helmet and need to get a new one. One of the things I love with the SC1 is the option of ekstra battery so that I can just change the battery and do not have to bring my helmet to the hotelroom when travelling for charging. How long does a change hold on the SC2 (or is there a battery that can be charged separate?)

    • @JockBiker
      @JockBiker  Před 2 lety +2

      Battery is built in. Not sure if you can buy a second one. Constant use it says it’ll last 12 hours, with a standby ie on but not being used of 7 days. I used it on last tour and longest day of use/standby was 14 hours so pretty good.

    • @JockBiker
      @JockBiker  Před 2 lety

      I haven’t got any mates that have the mesh on Sean only on Sena. When I read the manual there was a setting that covered that, I.e. hearing yourself. Think it is a simple push a button and it’ll be sorted, think it is the app under settings.

    Dear Sirs,
    I have bought the SC2 for the helmet C5 and I would like to know how to charge the SC2 battery. Is it necessary to take it out from the helmet or can it be charged in place/fix to the helmet?
    Best regards

    • @JockBiker
      @JockBiker  Před rokem

      You should have got a charging cable in the box with the unit. Uncover the charging port at the back and connect the usb cable to the unit and connect other end with charger. If in doubt read the manual.

    Is this helmet really quiet as tests stated? I'm using Icon Airflite and it is noisy as a hell.

    • @JockBiker
      @JockBiker  Před 2 lety +1

      A lot has been said about Schuberth being very quite but the noise of any helmet is so subjective. It is no more quiet than my quiet rpha 90s carbon, which is quiet. Sorry can’t be more specific. There are a few good channels on CZcams that test the noise of helmets I’m sure one is champion helmets??

    • @rublezz345

      @@JockBiker Yes, Champion Helmets. Now I'm stuck between AGV Sportmodular, RHPA 90s, Schubert C5 and Shoei Neotek 2. With Icon Airflite I'm getting headache after 70-80km riding on highway.

      @JockBiker  Před 2 lety

      All really good. The reviews on the agv aren’t as good as the others. If you are wanting to add a sena comms unit the Schuberth would be best but best thing would be to try them on, if you can.

      Already bought Schubert C5 on Ebay, there was very attractive discount. Just for 500 bucks incl delivery. Hope it will be good for me. Unfortunately I haven't possibility to try any of mentioned helmets due very poor premium helmets market in Azerbaijan. Mostly it is cheap crap.

      I had the s2, essentially the same lid but with a peak. My mic popped off when I tried to close the face module, it fell on the road and got run over by a car. What with that and the fact that it was lethal in the rain, I took it back and got a neotec.
