    This entire arc was always one of the creepiest arcs because the first time i played it i was shocked at Fiona "not remembering" or "denying" meeting you, and then when i get the answer, its very scary. Plus "In Hushed Whispers" is one of the best quests in the game, with the soundtrack and the creepy vibe to it

      She actually looks like that 😂Please forgive her, she is an ancient PS4 inky, before the days of CC, doing her best :')

    Vivienne adds so much context to the game, it’s sad she’s so underrated. Her and Dorian have a lot of discussion about Tevinter. Also, team mages ftw!
    The only reason I ever go with Templars is because I want to see Calpernia and RP reasons, like my Templar Qunari character.

    After playing DA:I, I could never figure out who or what 'Fiona' was in Val Royeux, does anybody know?

      Dorian

      She doesn’t remember because Alexius used time magic to change the course of time so that HE would lead the mages for Corepheus in redcliff instead of Fiona.

      It was her, but the time continuum was changed because of Alexius spell. That's why Fiona who was affected by it just as entire Redcliffe (except Dorian because I assume he wasn't there at the time). Alexius changed time so he could arrive to Redcliffe before Inquisitor and forced Fiona in situation that she and mages WILL fail and all die if she won't accept his proposition to join the imperium (meaning Corypheus). She accepts because she was taken back in time so she wouldn't go to Val Royeaux to ask Inquisitor for help as she did, but only when the time was correct. Do you remember the demons at the Redcliffe gates? There were the first time areas. One slowing everything down, the other speeding everything up. This is the first time we encounter them as it's the proof that entire Redcliffe was under Alexius spell.

    The Templars are the most sensible option. The mages were desperate for an ally because they couldn't match the Templar's military might. Red Templars have even more magic resistance than normal Templars. Mages are one bad day from turning into a murder machine, or worse.

      @insaneyoohoo Před 29 dny +20

      Maybe, but also, Alistair's mom. Plus, maybe don't leave the crazy mages with time magic alone to do their thing. Especially since it seems like the templars almost all go red templar after this, regardless of choice. Red templars and them spreading red lyrium is arguably just as bad as murder machine mages.

      @@brandonhavok Doesn’t matter imo. It’s still the woman who gave birth to him and loves him. And presumably she dies if you go templars. Plus this is only addressing the one point.

    • @brandonhavok
      @brandonhavok Před 28 dny

      @@insaneyoohoo The story never addresses the time magic again. its a moot point. if you don't side with the templars, Corypheus' main army is red templars because every templar joins him. if you side with Templars there's only enough of them to fuck with like 2 small regions. The Venatori are just blood mages. they never get special time magic or anything. and She dies. She is killed by the Inquisitor during the siege of Haven. And she doesn't love him enough to not bring a foreign army to his childhood home and then pledge herself and all those who follow her to slavery. She isn't a mother. she simply was a person who gave birth. If she loved him she would have reached out. at some point. but she didn't. her senile ass was more concerned about a rebellion that got more people killed then it saved.

    • @brandonhavok
      @brandonhavok Před 28 dny +1

      @@insaneyoohoo and honestly without knowledge of the impending invasion, it makes more sense to go get the templars to fight the Venatori and their supposed time magic. It's literally what they are trained for. the only playthrough that makes sense not to pick the Templars is if you are playing as a mage.
