It's amazing that even today someone is putting out videos about this great game. There is no new installment so we're stuck with this one, but the game is so deep that even 8 years later I'm still finding new things.

I’m 120+ hours into my first play through of the game. As someone who isn’t a big gamer but has been searching for the perfect rpg after years of solely playing jrpgs- this game is amazing. Everything I’ve been looking for 😊

The previous two Dragon Age games have their issues, but if you like the lore they're great. They're also really cheap because they're old games.
@@geekasauruswreks8789 Origins and Awakening are actually my favorite of all the games. It may not have the beat graphics but the skill trees/system, the tactics system for companions and story are amazing.
@@zakkmylde1712 Origins is my favorite. I'm replaying it right now. Spent about three days adding the mods I want. I used some old favorites and some stuff I haven't used before. Like, my Warden has a pet cat now!
Very minor spoilers beyond this point.
My headcanon was always that my Warden spent a lot of time with Anders so she could play with his cat.
It's so strange to see Anders before... things happen. He's so funny and irreverent. I totally would have made a new Warden to romance him, but it's not an option. Seeing how he changes is a bit heart breaking.
The chest dupe glitch in skyhold is also another way to get infinite skill points. It’s also much faster.

@@sinisterwitch9230 it explains in the video where you can get amulets of power. You can also dupe items in the chest at skyhold until you become the richest man to ever walk the fade.
Note that since the vitaar provide a flat bonus to your base damage, and staffs have the lowest base damage by far, that means mages get a much stronger increase to their overall damage by going Qunari than the other classes do. With Cretahl vitaar and an end-game staff, that's around a 30% damage increase, not even counting the 9% attack bonus that's also included with that vitaar.
Also, despite what the game says, I'm pretty sure Qunari get 25% melee defense rather than 10%. 25% is what shows up in the character record, at least.
Qunari undoutedly has a huge advantage over other races, let alone the weapons can be also boosted by the dragon's tooth
About #38 stopping the demons from spawning: You don't necessarily need to have the red circle demon spawnpoint inside the radius of your purge/dispel spell radius. As long as your purge/dispel radius touches the visual spawnpoint (light green visual circle that's bigger than the red one), it still works.
You missed Axe of The Dragon Hunter having an attack slot for 12 leather pieces and that you can add a haft and pommel into it for very high critical hit chance. Generally great for warriors, especially useful if you're a Champion who thinks Walking Fortress should have nearly 100% uptime.
14:20 So that's why Hakkonites didn't do any damage to me when I went full melee on my team. I went with Blackwall, DW Sera and Cole both of them having poisoned weapons and Lost in the mist. Elusives are truly a God-tier defensive ability.
Yeah, the elusive is a pretty good way.
There is a mod on PC that makes war table missions instant. I thought they fixed the bug that allowed you to loot multiple items like the amulet of power in Crestwood.

Finally played this game this week, was never interested before but damn. Had to quit mid-way and make a mage for Knight Enchanter. Vivienne is a beast by herself.
You can use Blade of Tidarion Schematic to give dual swords to your knight enchanter its really fun, is not the best staff schematic but it does the job and you get to wield 2 swords

Through testing I’ve managed to find out elemental mines also kill fade rift demons before they spawn.
Had no idea about the armor bit, that’s what miss from DA origins being able to wear heavy armor as a mage and even dual wield and cast spells.
AHHHHHH that bear paw loot, that's a reference to an adventure module that I played years ago our group died to the wraith trying to find the dam amulet hidden in the bear's paw.

Nice video thanks for it, About no. 38, Yes you can stop demons from spawning using specific abilities and the xp will count, But you'll loose any chances of loots, Loots from are demons are unique & sometimes important.

Trick 51: Bear Maul the Wolves is bugged. It doesn't do what it says. Instead, enemies behind you in short range deal 1 dmg to you. Very good for survivability.
Where this is could be useful is with the infinite whirlwind build since you don't have to face your targets. Or other builds that use aoe effects like wombo combos.
Trick 52: Simulacrum tanking. When you take damage when Simulacrum is up, you take at most HP minus 1 damage. E.g., if you have 10 hp, you take 9 dmg. Where is this broken is when you also have barrier and guard, say 10 hp but 200 barrier, you take at most 9 dmg to barrier each time you are hit.
A practical build is Melee-mancer with Andraste's Sacrifice to generate guard, Tirdalion to melee, belt of urgency since you'll be low HP with Simulacrum.
Tip 53: Pact belts increase damage of Masterwork abilities too.
Tip 54: Belt of Urgency works on some abilities such as Whirlwind
Trick 55: Rogues and Mages can use shields if crafted with Silverite, iirc. Animations are super broken.

If you haven't played the earlier games, they may help with DA withdrawal. If you have played them, just search Dragon Age and some channels will pop up with new content. It's almost all lore and not gameplay, though. Some of the lore videos have major spoilers for the first two games, so if you haven't played them and want to you might want to skip the lore channels. There's a bit of a buzz surrounding the recent teaser. Also, if you use Facebook, there are a few Dragon Age groups that are pretty active and the people are really nice.
Dragon age origins is amazing, easily biowares best games.

Just started my 3rd play through and trying hard for the first time and loving it so far.
All I know is some dude, back in the day, posted a video about how to use the [shitty] party commands and how unintuitive they were, and they helped me beat the game on Nightmare. Shit was actually easy.
is duplication glitch doable on PC as well? I tried but cant seem to do it, maybe im doing it wrong?
It seems a lot of the glitches are just in console? I play PC and am not aware of these glitches like the double gear glitch at skyhold
Even though this game got GOTY in 2014 it still falls way under the radar and deserves a next gen update for consoles. It runs and looks amazing on PC Ultrawiide though

Jc quick question, I've got all the expansions and dlc, etc. I have ended my first run but don't want to restart from the beginning is there a way I can start already at the trespasser? Cheers.
Do you have any manual saves to start with? If not, the auto saves might overwrite themselves.
@@RPGBUILDER33 yes I do have 2 character created but I don't really mind losing previous walk-through. Most of my previous run was saved manually.

If you like this game have played origins or da2 please do. It makes inquisition a totally different game! You can upload your content from each game to the new one. So, some of the choices you make in 1 can effect what's happening in inquisiton it's freaking amazing.

I'm stuck trying to upgrade Skyhold and all the plants I need to find are easy to find . But I can't find any logging stands or rock quarries , I found 1 logging stand but that was before I found Skyhold . If they aren't going to give you map markers for these things they should at least give you a basic area to search in .
there's a map marker perk from the "secrets" section called "Forward Scouts". It's available once you claim a keep.

You can also duplicate on PC using Esc+Spacebar
On Xbox for instant war table missions completion. Go offline and restart your console staying offline. Go to war table and press the home button. In settings change the year to before 1967. Missions will now complete instantly. When done change the year to above 1967 as it will cause problems with your character menu if left before 1967. No you don't need to exit game to do this, again only on Xbox one, series s or X.

How do you attack cancel? Sounded like he said surge button but I couldn't understand :/
Its easy, hold attack button at same time press the search button. You gotta sync press them, like 1st swing attack you follow up search and repeat. I use this method on my 1st playthough using two hand warrior, helps alot really

Does this game work on Nvidia GPU's yet? I suffered 2 Kernal crashes from this game because of that "little bug/oversight" by EA/Bioware, and have no intention of trying the game again until I know if the game works yet!
Kinda late, but I'm playing on a 1660 Super for 11 hours straight and I didn't encounter any crashes so far, so maybe it's fixed.
