Indepth explanation of Angstrom Lubes

  • Gravitas is a SUPER gummy lube with over a million centistokes of viscosity. There are nanoparticles which create friction at a very tiny tiny level. At this size, the abrasive nature is totally different, and it doesn't feel rough at all. The friction just slows the cube down for control and smoothness.
Dignitas is a nitride and silicone lubricant, which feels fast after breaking it in. It's very gummy at first because it's thixotropic, but after you break it in, it provides a very fast and smooth feeling. The nanoparticles may clump and settle, so that's why it comes in a capped container, which makes it easy to stir and paint on the lubricant.
I know that some people may think Gravitas is just vaseline, so I prove it to you by burning it. Gravitas is inorganic, so it doesn't burn, but Vaseline is a hydrocarbon, which burns with a red flame and black smoke.
I play with fire so that you don't have to, so stay in school kids!
I finish off the video by showing you how to apply it.
Use very small amounts, and build up to the desired gummy level.

I ordered a volt and dignitas on Wednesday, now I'm just going to stand in front of my mailbox for like 2 weeks. Anyway, I really like the names, and I was afraid I'm going to completely mess up the lubing because I have never lubed anything, but this really helped. And thanks for setting them on fire! It totally wasn't necessary but it was cool to see the difference between gravitas and vaseline

I'm gonna coat my Christmas tree with the Gravitas as a flame retardant.
Gravitas review: I bought the Gravitas. It is freaking amazing. You know that pleasant slow feeling right at the beginning after you put 50k in? It's just where it feels slow, not gummy or sticky, just pleasantly slow. It's controllable, not too difficult to turn, like I said, not gummy, just... slow. Don't put a lot in, just one microbrush full. It's AMAZING! I don't use the Air UM (yes, the UM. I don't have the SM) because it (was) too fast for me, but with the Gravitas, it's almost perfect! Just buy it!
PS It turns beast in the Wuxia M

Tip: Don't use Whatsapp during this step. After using Messenger instead, the cube was extremely fast yet controllable.

Eugene2341 it may still break down the plastic that holds the screw and the spring if you put a lot of vaseline. It is really not advised to use vaseline as a lube for post zhanchi (after 2011ish) speedcubes.
