There is a polish film that did this but with a higher budget and actual actors, I wish I could remember the name, it was good.

I do like how this seemed to let you connect the story on its own, and you get to see how human the characters are when they fight, they make mistakes, they hesitate as if unsure, and heck, the dude grabbed a log and tried to defend himself, it seemed like an actual fight that you can't tell was choreographed and actually looked like they were fighting for their lives, this is awesome.

Красиво фехтуют, видно, что вжились в роли шляхтичей, момент, где один фехтовальщик выбивает саблю из рук противника и заставляет его поднять саблю, напоминает сцену из фильма "Потоп" 1974-го года, где пан Володыевский выбивает саблю из рук Кмитица и заставляет его поднять саблю и продолжить бой. Благородный поступок, поступок настоящего рыцаря. Очень красиво засняли, хоть сейчас с персонажами этого видео кино про Речь Посполитую снимай

Wow, I know very little of sword fighting, and I was impressed with many of the movements and also with those curved blades. Looks very dangerous to choreograph something like that with real weapons.
They did use steel weapons but for safety they're blunt.

The final slice that simulates the kill, would that cut actually kill so quickly? I can't imagine the blade cutting deep enough to reach an organ. I suppose the victim might bleed out but that takes a couple minutes if it hits the jugular or carotid...but they aren't located in the chest area.
