- Hry
Those looking for the Quake II part, it starts at 1:24
ur a good man
Imagine skipping nick Gordon music smh
Watched this tons of times and didn't knew that part was from quake, I was curious

I love the new synths they added to descent into cerberon. Wish Mick would remix the original and release it
Sonic Mayhem was the guy playing synths
NGL, I'd pay to have a remix/cover album of Quake II's soundtrack by Mick and Mayhem.
I agree!! It sounds so much better with the synths!!
exactly it sounds even more epic with the synth addition
I like how mick franticly jumps about the stage like a quake protagonist
HUP HUP HUP HUP HUP
Hruh!
What's funny is he was originally supposed to just stand there in the mainstage. He decided last minute to the chagrin of the spotlight runner to run around the stage and play to the crowd. If you watch closely you can see the moment the spot just gives up.
I like the Descent into Cerberon part more than BFG Division I wish it was longer
I'm hoping we'll see whole soundtrack live someday. This shit is too good to be left in video game domain only.
Yeah Rolling Stones are cool and all but I like Mick Gordon LOL
Man keeping that synth note going for Cerberon, what a simple yet effective thing to do.
Major props getting Sonic Mayhem back to do the best song from Quake II.
Plz, Id, we need the Quake same treatment as Doom 2016 and upcoming Doom Eternal!
Would be nice to get the true Quake experience they originally wanted. With the more medieval dark fantasy theme, with hammers and lightning, etc.
Would definitely like that tbh, or at least like some sort of doom eternal quake short campaign dlc add on
@@Krystalmyth I think it'd be interesting if they tried to incorporate elements of both.
Or just remake Quake 2 under its working title, Wor
Sad That They Fired Mick Gordon.
He Was A Legend :(
The crowd goes f*cking nuts during bfg division
Somebody needs to fire the sound mixer guy.
From what I understand it sounded better live
@@DoctorReflux no i think he meant the audio was too low
jamal9 drums were way louder, guitar was way too quiet and GOD DAMN WAS THE SYNTH WAY TOO LOUD, its like they didnt even mix it ahead of time or anything
the drums were way too loud, the synth was completely off, and the only good thing was mick gordon
I love this industrial metal sound! Congratulations to Mick Gordon, Matt Halpern, and Sonic Mayhem for this wonderful concert!
Holy fuck what does the Quake II music mean?!?!
Nothing? I guess they played it because the guy behind keyboards (Sascha Dikiciyan) is from Sonic Mayhem, who composed Quake II's soundtrack and because there's not that many tracks in the DOOM soundtrack that are suitable for live performance, so they just put this one in so they would make the set a bit longer.
Besthesda already announced a new Quake at E3 this year.
Correction: Sascha IS Sonic Mayhem. Sonic Mayhem is not the name of the band, it's an alias or stage name, whichever expression you prefer.
could be related to the fact that iD Softwares next game is Quake Champions and Bethesda is publishing that so it just made sense. It could possibly mean that he's the one making music for the new Quake, which would be absolutely excellent
+Marcus Munitions iirc Mick is actually working on Prey 2 atm and not the new quake
I got a request for Mick Gordon! Throw an event similar to this and have him screaming circle pit, wall of death or command a mosh pit when he plays a song from the Doom soundtrack or any heavy song from Killer Instinct.
I'm in deep wonder, why this synth version of "Descent into Cerberon" is not a full song ?
One of the very few good things in the show.
It's nice to see Mick did a crossover with Quake. :)
2:14 You've got to be kidding me
nobody:
the audio: brrrt beep ppttt pop prrt
😂😂😂😂
@@oodfty3740 what?
there's just something about this that makes me keep coming back to it; each time, with a giant smile of my face that just gets wider and wider as I listen
Guess Bfg Division makes the whole show
they knew he would come to feast on the blood of the wicked. and those that tasted the bite of his sword named him....the DOOM slayer
this is sick
2:14
Me: ah hell yeah!
2:26
Me: fire the sound mixer
felt the same way lol
Mick GorDooM!!
They synth part for BFG division is so perfect, I wish someone made a remix of bfg divison with these synths
Epic.
awesome, just a shame the drums's sound was way too loud and i couldnt hear the guitar very well :(
PgMergener was probably the fact that he was playing 9 string guitar and the performance uses the same audio setup as the rest of the show
Rayyen_ Oh yeah true! Now it makes sense, thanks :D
PgMergener Use headphones
Mayones Regius 8. He's only in drop E. He only dicked around with a 9 in a couple songs.
Mad respect to Mick Gordon!
Cold shivers with this. Greatness. :O
0:14 1:25 2:08 don't mind this comment
*Sneaky e1m1 rift passing by..*
edit: three years later, it's still pretty good ngl
i wish they made an extended version of the quake song
I love how everyone went ape shit when he started playing BFG Division.
It reminds me of Meshuggah
Moises Pita Herr Faust he worked with Frederick for that song in wolfenstein
lul so far off man
Mick Gordon is friends with them, even sold the 8-string guitar he did the Doom theme on to them.
qué guapo por dios
i wanna see meshuggah covering this
Agreed! They also did a remix of Rammstein's Benzin (also industrial metal), and it was awesome.
I died
Watched that live
EDIT: Live on stream I mean =\
I envy you. A lot.
A_D_M_E_R_A_L Ah, okay. Still, cool! :D
Mick Gordon is based
I didn’t realize Sonic Mayhem was playing keys here
0:47 sneaky

Fighting against stroggified demons

Anybody know any bands that play this genre of music?
The drummer plays in a band called periphery that plays similar music. Another band is Meshuggah.
Welcome to the world of djent my friend
Mr. Procrastinator The drummer's band periphery sounds like this on a few songs off of their first album. Would recommend
Just search for Djent and you will discover a new wonderful world of music. Some recommendations: Monuments, Anup Sastry, Modern Day Babylon, Destiny Potato, Hacktivist

emmure
The lowering/raising of the crowd noise is weird.
Pretty much the best way to get metal into more video games, use Doom.
But does it djent?
Kyle Homicide yes, yes it does.
Micks guitar doesn't have enough strings to Djent!

Unfortunate how bad the sound mix is here.

Bethesda: you're fired.
Mick: what?
Fans: 👿👿👿.
just indescribable rage, I hate you with all my heart, how dare you spoil someone else’s musical masterpiece! Your doom tracks weren't even close to Sonic Mayhem's music. A shame. And don’t even dare look at my comment with vanity, I love music very much and will answer anyone seriously and honestly, but this particular act is simply unforgivable, break your fingers and stay in the hospital for a couple of months as punishment.
No Rage no like
They butchered Descend into Cerberon badly
With all respect to the gang, but Quake 2 is best left untouched.
Egonieser Locman that was the original composer on Synth...
@@RuffisInc From Sonic Mayhem?
@@egonieser yes. That IS Sonic Mayhem.
I thought it was a sick nod~!
