You have a very light & fun way of teaching. I love it! I started in Ceramics as a teacher in the mid 70"s. I'm so happy to see you doing CZcams videos to keep
this art thriving & growing! Thanks!

Thank you, Jessica, for no music; a clear view of what is being done; no arbitrary point-of-view changes; excellent enunciation; making good use of used materials; a pleasant demeanor; funny little quips; suggestions for alternative methods and materials; and staying on point and in context. This is how instructional videos should be made.
I would like tapered edges. How to do that?
Chamfering the edge of the pressing-disk would reduce, if not eliminate, the line left on the plate. Or, just use a plain disk sized to fit the cups that will be used with the saucers.
Your facial expressions are delightful! Altogether good work.

Hi Jess! This is the first time I noticed you are an AF veteran! Thank you for your service! My husband is a retired AF medic and I'm retired Army! I initially began learning pottery at our craft shop, here at Ft. Huachuca! Anyway, I appreciate your videos, because I'm working on my own home studio a lot more, so that I can do more work at home! Thank you!

I thought I would also share something with you - Just a little true story regarding clay. I work at a school and one of the classes I am in is a pottery class. I took pottery many years ago, when I was in a similar class in high school. When the head teacher of the class was ill, the sub was my high school pottery teacher! I cannot tell you how incredible it was to be taken back to a much younger state of mind, lol. Needless to say, I cried when he made a bowl for me as a gift. I know it's a rather dorky little story, but I thought you might like it :-).
Watching you and your friendly and cheerful style is delightful and really appreciated. Thank you so much!
