Thanks for the ride and tour. I grew up there on Washington street between Elizabeth and Franklin St. You may remember our family, George Phillips was my father and we owned Phillips Diner. We sold to my uncle Joe Rishe, who passed it along to my cousin Judy. We left the burg in 77. I will be passing this along to my daughter so she can see what my little burg looks like. Definitely not the same as it was in the 60s and 70s. Thanks again.

I moved to Ogdensburg in 1979 and lived there for about 15 years. The first place I ever ate was Phillips Diner. I got a bacon cheeseburger and a double order of fries. When I said a double order of fries they looked at me funny. IO got the bacon cheeseburger on one plate and the fries came on their own plate. Couldn’t believe how many fries I got. I was used to the McD’s size. BTW - the bacon cheeseburger was huge! Last time I was there in April for the eclipse I ate at Phillips Diner. Thanks for watching and commenting. I really appreciate it. You might like my other videos. 😎

Ogdensburg suffered from the destruction of downtown during "Urban Renewal" when hundreds of stores were taken out to put in a new mall - which failed. With few jobs, people either work in the prisons or retail, or some private business. Otherwise they left for greener pastures. It is sad, they make attempts to do things but lots of "old" opposition to new things. I lived there from 1979 to 1992 and in the area until 1995 or 96,
